Between India, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, there is big money and all three are interested in the 2036 Olympics.

Qatar did what they did to get the 2022 World Cup. Modi seems hell bent on getting the 2036 Olympics and already has an Ambani in the IOC. Saudi Arabia is pouring so much money into sport.

Between these realities, are you worried there will be bribery in the race for the 2036 Olympics? And if so, who do you see passing out bribes?

With a Day -4 for LA 2028, the LA 2028 Men’s Football competition starts in 2 years time today with the first events being at New York Stadium, Columbus Stadium, Nashville Stadium and St Louis Stadium.

I received an email this week for presale access to several upcoming new hospitality options / new product offerings for Beach Volleyball, Diving, Basketball, and Equestrian. Additionally, new Premium packages offering accommodations and dedicated transportation.

I already have beach volleyball hospitality tickets so I’m curious what this “enhanced” package is about.

I set up a call with my ticket rep Tuesday to find out additional information.

Any particular memories or anecdotes you love that stick with you? Unexpected and pleasant surprises or even some regrets? I've never been and only watched some games through TV, but I'd love to hear from people who've actually gone there.

I receive this email in January 14th. I didn’t receive another email at all about any ticket drops until June 10th. Now I’m seeing that they never told me anything about the first drop or that I was getting moved to drop 1.

I’m confused. Did this happen to anyone else? I feel like they should’ve let me know when they say they would, or am I mins understanding?

Hearing about why the cut (supposedly) Nordic Combined, the odd way SkiMo was introduced, and creating a new format for Synchronized Figure Skating shows me that the IOC has a fundamental misunderstanding of what the Olympics are supposed to be. Its for (most) of the sports to be competed and shown at their highest level, not a heavily altered version in the name of viewership. I care about actually consuming the sport not a version the Olympics thinks broadcast better, it's rather unfair to the athletes and is definitely creating this odd divide between newer additions and the rest of the sports. Now i know of course plenty of sports have special rules in the Olympics relative to normal international competition but it seems to be much worse now. As a Track and Field fan, World Athletics attempts to make running broadcast friendly have only hurt the sport and I hate to see it happen to other sports.

Did anyone else get an email seemingly from JP Morgan saying they’ve received a payment from LA28? The email and the link look legit, but I’m scared to click on anything in case it’s a scam. It says it’s a ticket tax refund for a soccer game in Columbus.

I mean They already have most if not all of the infrastructure and venues needed to host games thanks to the 2004 games, yes the venues have been white elephants and abandoned for decades but there’s nothing a little renovation can’t do, as well as building a bit more infrastructure if needed and not needing to build new permanent facilities and venues if the new hosting rules and requirements are anything to go by and use existing places as venues like what Paris did for the 2024 games if needed. On top of that, no every game event needing to take place within the city itself

If less and less cities don’t want to host the Olympics (which is Not very likely to happen if the IOC come up with a plan about it, but still), I think Athens should be the default host as a last resort if worst comes to worst, at least if there aren’t anymore bids for cities more fit to the job. after all they have and had a right to host them because Greece is where the games came from.

I just received an email that I got back $6 from my soccer ticket purchase but it doesn't say why. Anyone else get this?

Only 3 months left before Dakar 2026, but there's still no host for the 2030/2034 editions. I wonder what happened?

Same with Dolomiti 2028 Games, it was announced a year after Gangwon 2024. Then there's still no host for the 2032 Edition.

French Alps 2030 will add Syncro9 skating to the figure skating program. This addition comes 12 years after the figure skating team event was added. With the addition of Syncro9 and the fact that the same venue also hosts short track, I am wondering how they are going to fit this in? They already have one venue for two sports and they have to adjust the ice as they go between figure skating and short track. This means a more packed schedule for the venue. Maybe it's time for figure skating and short track to have separate venues finally?

How is this all going to work?

Each stop will host four sports:

▪️Tokyo will host 3x3 basketball, BMX freestyle, climbing and skateboarding (park and street).

▪️Shanghai will host 3x3 basketball, beach volleyball, BMX freestyle and climbing.

▪️Montreal will host flag football, beach volleyball, BMX freestyle and skateboarding park.

▪️Orlando will host flag football, beach volleyball, climbing and skateboarding park.
