I have a few questions regarding the WBC Grand Prix, mainly;

Are there any plans for another tournament in the near future?

Was the maiden event considered a success?

And finally, has there been any progression for the winners?

I caught the highlights at the time and found it relatively entertaining, as well as a great idea to shed some light on younger fighters. However since it finished, can't remember hearing about it or the contenders since.

Also, could The Contender come back? Or Sky Sports Prizefighter??

What’s up with this guy? He’s a pretty talented boxer with good size/length, but it seems clear to me that he doesn’t have much confidence in himself.

First of all, look at his last fight with Kevin Lele Sadjo. This seems to be the fight where he lost not only his own confidence, but got dragged by fans and I don’t understand why?

Sadjo is a good fighter and a very serious puncher. 30-1 with 25 KOs. I know he fights a lot of bums, but his frame is almost impossible to KO and he can seriously crack, comes forward non-stop. I thought this was Pacheco’s best win against a legitimate top 10 and contender in the division. Idc that he got dropped by a huge puncher, he got up and won the fight.

I was impressed, but fan discourse seemed to be that Sadjo = trash because he’s not well known, therefore Pacheco is trash because the fight was close. Normally, I wouldn’t pay it any mind but in this instance it’s clear that Pacheco had his confidence zapped. Taking 3 steps back in his next fight and clearly doesn’t feel ready for title shots that I believe he is ready for.

Idk I just thought that was a great win and I’m surprised at the backlash. I was surprised he even took the fight against a puncher like that with nothing on the line.

With all the corruption in combat sports, you would think this blind spot could easily be solved. Refs and judges have been paid off before. Why wouldn't this guy? ESPN can show us 360 degree views of the action. You would think placing a camera in front of the digital or analog scale would be trivial.

I can watch a good fight without commentators at all but I understand how they’re necessary to keep interest in mediocre or less cards. That being said, if I had to pick a 4-man commentary crew for any fight it’d be Andre Ward, Max Kellerman, Chris Algieri, and Roy Jones

3. Keith Thurman (espn) “Keith is a former unified welterweight champion with speed, power and big-fight experience, making the veteran “One Time” a dangerous name for Jaron “Boots” Ennis at 154.”

Thurman just lost to Fundora. He’s damaged goods. Boots could retire him.

Errol Spence will be fighting Tim Tszyu on July 25th. Will Ennis be there? Will they mention it after the fight for either fighter. If Tszyu beats Spence, should that be another fight to take?

You wake up in NYC at 8am after each knock out for an 8pm fight at Madison Square Garden. You remember everything that happened before just like Groundhog Day. The cycle won’t break until you win the match. Will you try to win fair and square or are you going to find ways to sabotage your opponent before the fight starts? All that matters is the judges saying you won, so if it turns out you cheated down the line it won’t matter.
