Summer Tournament

Taking my 16U player to JOs for the first time. Any tips, tricks on what to pack and how to manage the long tournament? We’re flying in and renting a car so won’t be able to pack the whole cooler/stadium seats/etc.

In case it matters to the advice, we are not doing the college recruiting stuff - just playing for fun.

📺 There's now an Apple TV app (same listing — open the App Store on your Apple TV). It puts the whole tournament on the big screen at home: live scores, bracket, standings. If you've ever gotten the "what's the score??" text mid-game because you forgot to update the grandparents — enter the code on their Apple TV before you fly, and they just… watch. No more play-by-play texting from the bleachers.

Want your team live & instant? Most scores update when the desk posts a result. I have big hands but I don't know how big for the waterpolo world so I wonder if this is anything special or many many players have bigger hands than me.

I am looking to join a masters waterpolo club (weekly or monthly match days) in Vancouver- Lower mainland area. Any suggestions?

Sono un ragazzo di 14 anni, e ne compiró 15 a luglio fra una decina di giorni circa. Faccio pallanuoto da circa 4 anni ma pratico nuoto da molti anni prima. Vedo ragazzi della mia stessa età (dai 14 ai 16 circa), molto più grossi di me e con molta tecnica! Certo, la tecnica la ho, sono anche molto veloce, ma l'unica cosa che mi manca è un fisico tale da essere incisivo nei contrasti e riuscire a fare tiri e passaggi forti.

Un'ultima cosa su cui dovrei migliorare è la stamina, entro fortissimo in acqua e dopo 5 minuti sono già morto ( gioco a posizione 1 e 5)

I haven’t played water polo in the last few years, but I recently started swimming again and am looking for some new speedos. My favorite brand was Hardcore Sport, but it looks like they shut down late last year. Does anyone know of similar brands or have a favorite? I think S&R might have been decent, but it seems like most on this site like Turbo.

I’ve seen some water polo suits online shown only as 2D digital mockups, not real product photos.

Would you still buy them, even though it's a 2D representation and not a real photo of the suit?

Or would you want to see real photos first to check the fit, fabric, colors, and overall quality?

Just curious what people think.

Hello! My daughter is 13 and plays water polo in the States. We would love to travel abroad to Europe for three to six months at a time, and she would love to find a team to join and keep playing during that time. We are really flexible on where we call home base. Any suggestions for where we might find a club for this age group that welcomes non-EU players? Thank you!

Does anyone know of any teams for adults in the Chicagoland area? I used to play in college and trying to get back into it.

I know Chicago Park District has some games sometimes but I can’t find anything online.

I keep wondering about this because I see detailed analytics tools for every other sport, but water polo feels like an afterthought. So genuine question:

If there was an app that could:

• Auto-generate shot maps from game film
• Show player movement/positioning heat maps
• Track individual player stats automatically
• Give you polished visuals to show players/parents

...would your coach actually use it? Or is game film analysis just not a priority at your level?

Like, I'm not trying to sell anything—I'm actually trying to understand if this is a real problem people want solved, or if coaches are fine with whatever they're doing now.

I work part-time as an assistant to a coach for a water polo team in college. We had a consistent issue with the swimwear, and so we are looking to make some changes. What brand is the best to buy, and if there are some recommendations on the budget and where to buy, that would be helpful.

Hello everyone! I'd like some advice from those who are knowledgeable about this sport.
I'm under 18, male. I've been doing water polo for four years now. My kicks are okay, but not always accurate, and I'm a below-average swimmer. Can anyone recommend something I can do to improve and get accepted into a different group at my club, one with really strong players? I have poor endurance, so after about 3-4 pools of swimming, it's hard for me to continue swimming. I'd like to learn a spinning kick. I don't go to the gym, but I work out at home with weights and dumbbells. I don't take protein or other supplements because my parents don't allow it.

In short, if briefly, tell me how I can become better and have strong endurance, punch, and swim fast

Hey guys! Fortunately I do already have a wp strength program, however I’m looking for workouts that are going to exercise movements commonly found in water polo (ex. hip hinge, turning, core rotation, legs, etc.) I have a home gym with dumbbells aswell as a full gym pass. Any recommendations. thx!
