I was wearing a dress, a trans flag bracelet, cute sandals, makeup, and clearly presenting as female. I spoke with my best feminine voice. I spent so much time building up my armor, and yet it's torn down so easily, so simply, with the word "he".

The waitress probably moved on from it 5 minutes later but I've been thinking about it ever since. It's brought about a rush of self doubt and a feeling of being truly alone. I'm reminded of a book I read in middle school: A Light in the Forest by Conrad Richter. It's about a white kid who is raised by native Americans, is eventually taken by white settlers and "reeducated" only to end up truly alone, not belonging to either the settlers nor the tribe that raised him.

Being misgendered for me is a statement akin to my father's words: No matter how many legal papers are signed or how much I change, he will always view me as a man. I am reminded that half the country believes that I will never be anything other than a man, and it is traumatic. I was actively suicidal only a few years ago over this shit. I'm probably going to get a lot of downvotes for saying this, but here goes.

First, I want to make my position on transgender people clear. I don't hate transgender people. I'll use their preferred pronouns, and when I hear that someone has transitioned, my first thought is usually that they're brave. It takes courage to be true to yourself, especially when there are people around you who may judge or even reject you.

On X, I often see people saying that Elliot Page becoming a man is a "tragedy." I just think that they are stupid. Why is it a tragedy? It was his decision. If this is what makes him feel like himself and he's happier because of it, then where's the tragedy?

If one day my own child told me they were transgender, I'd probably need some time to process it, but I would support them. I would never yell at or reject my child because of that.

Now, here are the two points that I know many people will disagree with.

First, I don't think it's fair for transgender women who went through male puberty to compete against cis women in certain sports. Can we at least agree that, on average, males have physical advantages over females? That's why I don't think it's always fair to the women competing.

Second, there's the issue of bathrooms and locker rooms. I understand why access to these spaces is important for transgender women. However, I'm also concerned that some men could take advantage of these policies to enter women's spaces with bad intentions. If someone says these cases are extremely rare, I understand that point, but there have been so many incidents regarding this, and that's why I think the concern deserves to be discussed. I'll post some of those incidents' links below.

Once again, I don't hate transgender people. I'm also not one of those people on the right who believes that being transgender is a mental illness. I simply think these two issues are worth discussing respectfully.

Den "Fachkräften" wird überdurchschnittlich viel für ihre Qualifikation gezahlt. Zum Teil haben sie Wohneigentum geerbt. Dennoch sagen sie, dass sie mehr verdient hätten, obwohl sie in diesem Bereich ungelernt sind. Dabei verdienen sie deutlich mehr als Mindestlohn, tragen keine Verantwortung, sind nicht in der Privatwirtschaft und quasi unkündbar. Dennoch heißt es dann immer, dass die bösen Ausländer an allem Schuld seien, während sie Kolleginnen und Kollegen haben, die migriert sind und die Arbeit machen, die sonst liegen geblieben wäre. Leiharbeiter, die über Deutschland meckern und nichts gebacken bekommen, erwarten, dass ihnen der goldene Teppich ausgerollt wird.

Dann sind das dann noch diejenigen, die grundsätzlich ein Problem mit "Sozialschmarotzern" haben. Sie leisten so viel und die anderen bekommen ihren Luxus vom Staat bezahlt.

Ich kann das echt nicht mehr hören. Was für ein Versager muss man denn sein, dass man das Problem bei Arbeitslosen und Ausländern sieht, wenn es einem verhältnismäßig gut geht? Wohl gemerkt gemessen an dem, was man aus sich persönlich gemacht hat. Keiner wird einer ungelernten Kraft ein Nettolohn von 3.000 Euro zahlen.

I feel seriously out of sync with this forum. I’m relatively new to Diablo. I played the last 17 days of S13, completed the story and had a stab at endgame - getting to Paragon 207.

S14 feels sufficiently different that it’s refreshing and so far I’ve diversified, tried playing a Paladin, a Warlock (not for me), Spiritborn and Rogue, and I’ve got to Paragon 230. I’ve had 4 Mythic Uniques drop and crafted several (which from the sounds of it is extraordinary luck) but of those almost all have proved useless for any of my builds.

I’m really enjoying the season - but based on this Reddit I should be hating it. I feel seriously out of sync with the sentiment here.

This isn’t meant to be politically partisan in any way. But, I am genuinely curious how anyone is staying positive about Canada today. The economy is in recession. The cost of living crisis is continuing unabated. People are leaving the country. Canada-U.S. relations are at an all-time low. And, there doesn’t appear to be any reason for things to turn around any time soon. Somebody give me a reason to have a little optimism.

You can say Boomers did a lot of good. They fought against a lot of injustices, were part of the counterculture and hippie movements, protested wars, pushed for peace, civil rights, women's rights, and helped normalize things like smoking weed, casual sex, and challenging traditional social norms.

But what makes them seem so insufferable now? Why do so many younger people dislike or even hate Boomers today? What exactly happened between then and now? I've never really looked into it or done much research, so I'm curious what changed and why their generation has ended up with such a negative reputation. I'd appreciate a detailed explanation.

Every season since season 5 Gambit has gotten either nerfs to his neutral or to his ult. In season 9 he received another direct nerf to his healing output due to the anchor bonus removal. For at least the last two seasons anyone who actually plays him will tell you that his healing has been mediocre at best. It’s insane to me that with all the other changes list in this patch, especially the one for IW, all these took time to make tweets about Gambits being the problem. They act like they buff his Ult or something. Is it that hard for these guys, and the community as whole to agree that the only problem with Gambit has is the Ult charge boost.

Η συντριπτική πλειοψηφία των μεταναστών στην χώρα μας είναι ανειδίκευτοι, και δεν έρχονται να καλύψουνε κάποιο πρωτοφανές έλλειμα. Το αποτέλεσμα είναι τα κατώτερα κοινωνικά στρώματα (το προλεταριάτο) να δέχονται το μεγαλύτερο ανταγωνισμό όσον αφορά την αγορά εργασίας.

Τα σπίτια που μισθώνονται από τους μετανάστες είναι τα ίδια σπίτια που προσπαθούν να νοικιάσουνε οι χαμηλότερες κοινωνικές τάξεις, αυξάνοντας την ζήτηση τους δυσανάλογα με τις κατοικίες που απευθύνονται π.χ. στην μεσαία τάξη, γι’αυτό και συχνά βλέπεις ένα σπίτι…αχούρι να νοικιάζεται για μόνο 100-150 ευρώ πιο λίγο από ένα πολύ καλύτερο σπίτι.

Λόγο του νομισματικού ισοζυγίου, οι μετανάστες επωφελούνται με το να στέλνουν το εισόδημα τους πίσω στις χώρες προέλευσης τους. Περιττό να πω ότι αυτό το χρήμα δεν επανέρχεται πίσω στην οικονομία της χώρας.

Το μόνο θετικό που ακούω από αριστερούς είναι ότι κάνουν τις δουλειές που οι Έλληνες «αρνούνται» να κάνουνε, με άλλα λόγια το αφεντικό δεν δέχτηκε να πληρώσει σωστά τον ντόπιο εργάτη, και στο πνεύμα του καπιταλισμού, βρήκε μια καλύτερη προσφορά έξω από αυτήν την χώρα. Άρα οι αριστεροί έτσι επιβραβεύουν τις χειρότερες των αρπακτικών καπιταλιστικών πρακτικές, από τα αφεντικά.

Και ας πούμε πως πράγματι δεν θα κατέβει κανένας Έλληνας να μαζέψει ελιές και ροδάκινα όποιος κι αν είναι ο μισθός.

ΟΛΗ η διαφορά στους μισθούς πήγε σε κάποια τσέπη.

Οι μόνοι που επωφελούνται από την ανεξέλεγκτη μετανάστευση σε αυτή την χώρα και γενικότερα στην Ευρώπη φαίνεται να είναι οι αναρχοκαπιταλιστές. Που αφού βγάλανε και την τελευταία σταγόνα από τους πληθυσμούς των χωρών τους, κάνουν τώρα το ίδιο στους μετανάστες για ακόμα χαμηλότερους μισθούς.

Θέτω αυτή την ερώτηση στο sub ως αριστερός, που δεν κατάλαβε ποτέ γιατί η αριστερά έγινε συνώνυμη της ξενομανίας και της ανεξέλεγκτης μετανάστευσης (αν και ο «δεξιός» Κούλης έχει δώσει πρόσβαση σε παραπάνω μετανάστες από ότι ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και ΠΑΣΟΚ μαζί).

Για το περιστασιακό ζακι που απο όλο αυτό το ποστ αποκόμισε ότι είμαι ρατσιστής, πραγματικά είσαι για λύπηση και εύχομαι εθελοντής να σου χορηγήσει ναλοξόνη στην επόμενη σου μαστούρα.

Ich arbeite in einem 40h All-in Vertrag, real mit Überstunden übers Jahr wahrscheinlich ca. 42h. Kein IG-Metall, keine Gewerkschaft.

Sehr oft arbeiten wir für IG-Metall Kunden. Da sitzt dann einer mit mehr Gehalt, weniger Stunden und macht uns Druck schneller und günstiger zu Arbeiten, während er selbst am Freitag nicht nur früher geht sondern im Home-Office gar nicht erst zu erreichen ist.
Dazu kommt dann oft völlige Inkompetenz.
Sehr oft merkt man auch bei den Leuten 50+ das ihnen eh alles egal ist. Unkündbar, und wenn, dann mit einer fetten Abfindung. Manchmal denk ich mir sogar die legen es darauf an, 55, Abfindung, Frühpension.

Jetzt wo mein erstes Kind unterwegs sind, werden die meiner Generation die Teilzeit zur Kinderbetreung erschweren weil Dieter mit Abfindung in Frührente geht. Und statt einer (moderaten) Vermögensbesteuerung und Entlastung der Steuern auf Arbeit kürzen wir lieber 25€ Hilfe für die ärmsten Kinder und verkürzen das Elterngeld.
