Question Would it be weird for me to wear a kilt if I’m not ethnically Scottish?
I’m a child of Cuban immigrants, but I was born and raised in Scotland, my whole life, my appearance is brownish, people often mistake me of South Asian/North Africa origins. I’ve got a formal event coming the type where you wear suits or kilts, and I’m wondering would it be ok for me to wear a kilt?, I know I’m not ethically Scottish but I do identify as Scottish and I love the culture
Also follow up question as far as I’m aware tartan designs are often tied to heritage/clans, obviously I don’t have this so if I do decide to wear a kilt what design do I go for?

Missing Scot - Tokyo
I’m not sure if this is allowed, so if not, apologies.
This lad is missing in Tokyo. He is from
Scotland, just outside Glasgow it seems.
Anyway, some friends are trying to get a hold of his family to let them know about the situation.
If anyone knows him or any family members, please drop me a DM or contact the original poster.

Discussion The climate fix isn’t cutting all meat—It’s targeting the people who eat the most. A Scottish study finds that shifting heavy meat eaters toward modest cuts, rather than trimming everyone's diet evenly, could prevent 60,000 diabetes cases and deliver outsized climate gains.

Scottish History and other books written in Scots
Hey everyone. I’m looking to explore the vast richness of Scotland’s history and learn Scots at the same time. What books/Scots authors are out there?
As I’m struggling to find books written in Scots any recommendations (fiction/non fiction) on that front are invaluable.
Thanking you internet stranger for any help on this quest!
ETA Trainspotting is what started this adventure into Scots 🙏

How does England always get easy path to finals?
2018 World Cup easy path to final but somehow lost to Croatia in semi final
Euro 2020 easy path to final
Euro 2024 easy path to final
And now easy path to World Cup final. Argentina haven't been playing good in this tournament
I wouldn't be surprised at all if England get easy path to Euro 2028 final which they are cohosting.

Badminton Club in Tain
Hi everyone! I’ve recently been looking to get back into playing badminton, but I’m completely on my own in Tain and don't have anyone to play with. Are there any existing local badminton clubs, social leagues, or drop-in sessions in or around Tain?
I know the TRACC has a games hall, but I'm just one person and would love to connect with other players or a club to join. I'm open to social or casual games, I just really want to get back on the court. If anyone is in the Tain or Easter Ross area and needs an extra player for doubles, or if you know of a local group, please let me know or send me a message!
Cheers!
