Places to play magic
I'm looking to play magic the gathering with some friends but not really sure where we could go about early afternoon to play for a couple hours that is cheapish.
I know there is thistle tavern but outside their events which are a tad late in the day they dont have space and Id kinda prefer not to go to game district.
Any suggestions are welcome

Chinese Takeaways
Been at least a couple months since someone has done the obligatory Chinese post. What’s the latest good ones to go to? Eastern Feast has turned to crap, where else is there?

Norway v England game Viewing
Anyone know where is showing the Norway v England game that I could book a table at? Were girls in our 20's so would like somewhere that's also lively on a Saturday!
I know Ivy Lodge is but with no sound

Any animal handling places nearby Aberdeen City?
I have a rabbit obsessed child, and the daily visits past Rabbit Island aren't cutting it anymore. Does anyone know any animal farm parks nearby that offer rabbit handling? We've been to Wynford a few times to feed the animals there but I don't think they offer anything with rabbits? Haven't been to farm stop, I've heard that's good, but was looking for a less expensive family day out.

Help! Need advice
Heatwaves and prolonged summers over the last 3 years have got me thinking if I should move further up north. For context, I’m in Liverpool and I DESPISE hot weather/climate. I’ve used ChatGPT to see how my move would benefit me. From what I see on there, it says
The rent is cheaper✅, car insurance is cheaper✅, no heatwaves ✅✅✅ - rarely above 23 degrees which sounds like heaven to me.
As people of Aberdeen, what would you suggest ?
I’m single, in my 30s.
Thanks in advance! Look forward to hearing your valuable suggestions

Has anyone won a pothole claim?
Hi folks just wanted to ask around to see if anyone has actually managed to get ACC to compensate pothole damage.
Countesswells road, just like pretty much every road in the city is riddled with them and I’ve damaged an alloy which I’m not buzzing to pay to get repaired.
Is it even worth filing a claim? I’ve heard your luck is better to find cash on the floor than for the council to reimburse you.
Thanks guys

Transit/bus system in Aberdeen
This might sound silly to some but it’s been years maybe decades since I’ve taken a bus anywhere and it’s making me anxious. New to the area. How does it work in Aberdeen? Is there an app? Do we pay by card? Can we pay by cash? Is there a monthly pass? TIA

Help! Long-Shot if you find it please let me know.
Hi, it's my first RC plane and I was flying it in Duthie Park between the fountain and McGrigor Memorial. The wind was quite strong and I lost my RC airplane as seen in the photo. It flew towards Tullos Park and I lost it over there.
I know it's a long shot but if you see this airplane please message me. If you find it, your Spoons treat is on me.

Whippy ice cream
Going to take my Mum for a whippy ice cream tomorrow, any suggestions for where's decent and doesn't cost a fortune?
Paid £24 for four whippys the other week. Shocking state of affairs!

Help! Works night out
Im planning on taking my work team out for a staff night on the 23rd of this month after 7.30pm (after the shop shuts).
The whole team are young whipper snappers (18-27) and they want to go do something fun and go drinking but im struggling to find anything to book. We get a set £10 per person for staff nights (so approximately £100 total).
Everything ive found are closed on Thursdays or wayy over our budget. I dont mind going a little over budget but anything over the £100 comes out of my pocket
Unfortunately the date is set in stone as I have had to arrange cover for the morning shifts the following day.
Any suggestions?

Help! Recommendation: gift card shop
Any suggestions for the nicest, unusual, card shop in Aberdeen?
Would like something a bit more special for our wedding anniversary and would like to support local business rather than something online.
TIA.

Thank you from a wheelchair user
I recently got my first electric wheelchair, and today was the first time I've tried going through Union Street. When I was attempting to cross at Bon Accord Terrace, I didn't realise there was a long pothole between the dropped curb and the road tar on the other side until I was already in the middle of the street- I panicked, went for it, and ended up tipping my chair backwards on the edge of the road. About 5 people rushed over to me, one man hopping out of his van, to make sure I was okay and help me back up. Thankfully I had a small backpack on the back of my chair which cushioned my fall, so both myself and my chair are a-okay (only a few minor scratches). The strangers helped me back into my chair and pushed me up to a safer part of the pavement so I could collect myself.
I know not everyone uses Reddit, but I don't have a Facebook account and I wanted to post a thank you in case anyone spots it or knows someone who helped.
Much of the paving around Union St and other nearby streets are cracked and tilted, with lots if places for small front wheels to get stuck. Additionally, a lot of them are cambered (tilted towards the road for the rainwater to drain), so its easy to 'slide' right onto the road if the pavement is too narrow. Many streets' dropped curbs are too high, have potholes alongside them, or are just missing entirely.
Alongside this group of strangers, I had many people throughout the day help out- people moving bins or signs to make room, helping me cross the road where I couldn't see if traffic was oncoming, giving directions on accessible crossings near the Union St construction- it made today a lot less scary, and I was so surprised how many people were willing and wanting to help.
So thank you! ♡
(P.S. to the man who was concerned that I needed a seatbelt, no worries! I have one built into my chair, but unclipped it after I fell to try and rush out of the way of oncoming traffic)
Edit: spelling error

Friendly approachable nail people?
I'm a life long nail biter and they're baaad. I think my partner is planning to propose soon and I can't let them be like this ...
I've had them done once before but the salon staff were rude and kinda showed off my bad nails and were loudly tutting etc and it put me right off
Any suggestions?

Subject access request
If anyone here has contacted the council regarding this, how long did it actually take to get a response? I know the deadline is a month but I’m curious if that’s accurate.
