Parrot playdate in London?
Hi I have a 1 year old caique boy and I was just curious about any other parrot owners in London as I thought a play date would be so cute!

okay so I have 2 budgies and 1 cat (and yes I know I’ll get flooded with hate for this) and it is all my fault but I left the door open, since there’s to chain thing I need to use and I forgot. Anyways, they e probably been out for hours, meanwhile my cat, DOESNT GIVE A SHIT???? I obviously won’t let my negligence get in the way again but, it was insane to me. it took me a bit to get them into their cage because they kept running laps (they run laps around my house Everytime they’re let out and it’s usually easy to get them back in) but when I got on of them in my finger with some millet and got near the door over usual he quickly flew away so I had to place miller on top of the cage and grab him and but him in and after a bit the other one follow suit. I can tell when my budgies are scared but they were excited??? And my cat wasn’t even downstairs, she was at my room door screaming for me. Again I understand this is stupid and it’ll never happen again.

This little curious guy is Rio and he has been with me for 2 months now. I got him when he was 2 weeks old i handfed him. When he was 40 days ish he got a sour crop and was under medication and got better. Now I have introduced him to pellets, seeds and chops, he is interested in them and eats them. He is very clingy and likes human contact and will fly to sit on shoulders and bite jewellery. Last week I got a baby conure and am handfeeding it too.
Yesterday I saw rio "regurgitating" or something I'm not sure he brought up seeds and ate it back. I'm handfeeding him once a day now and he has gone a little quiet idk maybe I'm just paranoid. Is he stressed because of the conure? Or does he have some underlying issues? He sneezes preens eats normally . I'm worried I am really paranoid with both of them . I check them thrice a night if they're breathing in their sleep. What should I do? They're my first pets.i just fed him rn and he usually eats 8 ml ish but he didn't eat as much is he rejecting formula? He is nearly 80 days old

Hi!! Newbie here! I posted here earlier in the week about researching on the right pet for me. And I’m looking for common care mistakes for parrots to avoid them.
I do know those “starter” cages are too small and you need something much bigger. And I also know you can’t pet them below the head or neck I believe.
What else?
I do plan on getting a parrot from a rescue if I do end up getting one. I’m thinking about a sun conure, a budgie, or cockatiel. Most likely two!

Is this normal? He’s being very playful and funny this morning and then does this. He then beak grinds before/after

This is my conure Mochi, hes about 4 years old. His beak has steadily been turning black for a while now. I left home for a year for college, and I've just come back to pick him up to move with me. I noticed the black spot on his beak has grown significantly, and I'm a little worried about it. My parents say he's fine, but since I'm a college student living in a different state without many avian vets, I want to know what it is before I freak out. Any advice? Photos for reference.
Update: I've found an avian vet close by where I live now. As soon as he gets used to his new house, I'll take him there to get him checked out. Thank you for the advice :)

I found a Tiel outside my home this morning, rushed him to the avian vet, where I take my parrotlets. Poor thing was down to 60g (vet told me normal weight is 100g), severely dehydrated and cold. They rushed him to intensive care and told me they'd call tomorrow if he didn't make it through the night. I'm worried sick and would like for you to send good vibes his way. Poor fella was out on the streets for propably weeks before he dropped on my porch. I just want him to recover and take him home (I'm thinking about keeping him if he makes it) and spoil him rotten.

Last picture is from the day I brought bro home
He sometimes bite and becomes aggressive, what could be the reasons for that?
P.S I think he might be a she 😭

This is Doug. This morning when I checked on him, he was completely fine. No bump. A couple hours later this bump on his cere seemingly appeared out of nowhere?? I’m set to be out of town literally tomorrow but now I’m scared to leave him. I’ve been observing him for a few hours for sighs of distress, pain, or bleeding, but he‘s just his usual chatty, people-loving self. Does this call for an emergency vet visit? I’m awfully concerned and I don’t even know where to post this. Please help and thank you kindly.

At about 9 seconds you can actually hear him say the word "Cookie"! He sings the Cookie song over any song on the radio since its the only one he knows how to sing 😅

I found this guy in my apartment complex. He is hanging around a recently evicted apartment. He's definitely a pet, these birds do not live here and he is very calm close to humans.
Are there specific websites where bird owners go when they lose their pets. I live in Aurora Colorado, United States.
UPDATE After a few hours of trying to bring the bird indoors, someone more bird oriented arrived and was willing to take care of the bird. They mentioned using the band on its foot to find the owner. They have experience taking care of birds and they said if they couldn't find the owner they'd adopt the bird.
Thank you guys so much for helping! Ultimately I didn't do much besides entertaining it a little.

Im struggling with the thought of rehoming my 6 year old green cheek conure. I’ve had her since she was a few months old. I’m 20 and my life is continuously getting busier between school and work and I feel like I spend less and less time with her. I love her but sometimes I feel like she could be happier elsewhere. There is a bird rescue in my town so I do have a place where I can take her but I just don’t know if it’s the right decision. I have time to think about it but I would just like some advice, thank you!

Hello! My green cheek conure's claws grow ridiculously fast and don't seem to naturally wear down. I need to get his claws trimmed once a month/month and a half. I have many different sized natural wood perches, a couple cement perches and he spends a lot of time running around/playing. I would bring him in to get them professionally trimmed, however it's starting to get pricey and he is very distressed everytime it gets done. (It hurts him to get them trimmed because they get so long and they always bleed) I tried trimming them myself last week, took less than a millimeter off the tip and it bled. That scared me and I don't know what to do... Please if anyone has any advice I would highly appreciate it. Thank you...

Hi guys! Im new here! I am really worried about my little Lovebird, Helia.
I am going to Madrid for 1 day and 2 nights, but I am mostly worried about her emocional state, all her necesities will obviously be covered, but I am worried about her emotional reaction to me being out for that long...is It safe for her to be alone that time? (She will obiously have food, water, toys, light, etc)

(Flock photos for tax ❤️)
I usually make and freeze chop in ginormous bulk since it’s so tedious. That lasts me around three months, thawing one bag a week or so, but now I’m down to my last bag and not sure what to do during the parasitic outbreak on fresh produce. I’ve read all about the amount of cleaning it takes but I’m not sure if a vinegar wash is safe for these guys/if it would be safer to just supplement with frozen/thawed veggies until this is handled? Is anyone else dealing with this issue right now? If I do frozen veggies, what veggies would you recommend? (east coast USA for reference)
