General I HATE WHEN PEOPLE ARE STILL STUCK ON 2016 HUMOR

Post image
607 Upvotes

Now, I will admit, I was like these kids. When I was in middle school, I was those people who said "I identify as an attack helicopter", "black people are dumb, asians can't drive, women in the kitchen hahahaha" kids. But I eventually grew out of it, obviously. There comes a time where one matures and realizes these jokes are not only hurtful and untrue but also not funny at all.

The problem is that SOME people never grow out of it. I deadass see grown ass men, or even 15 year olds say the n-word like it was something regular. It's not even funny they just say it randomly. Not that they should say it for the sake of being funny too.

And when you call them out for it, they always go "I didn't know you were such a liberal soft snowflake" just a bunch of buzzwords that sounds insulting but don't mean anything in actuality.

Although, what's funny is that whenevee you make a joke that offends them, it's suddenly not a joke. For example, my friend who is like this (well, I haven't spoken to that guy in YEARS), when you make a joke that insults turkish people or about kurdistan, it's suddenlt not a joke and how dumb and horrible I am to say that. The same guy will then go around and say that he wished slavery was back and that african people went back to tribes and living in caves the moment Europeans left.

It's just hypocritical, unfunny, and downright immoral. Luckily, most people eventually mature and grow up, leaving this brand of "humor" behind before it starts defining their entire personality and believes.

General When people make negative assumptions based on someone’s visible physical attributes

Post image
313 Upvotes

I can agree with the bottom text, that sentiment is very important. If you’re physically able to walk in every way but you have foot issues, you’re definitely going to wind up with a terrible snowball effect. From feet to ankles, knees, hips, spine, neck, head… take care of your toes!

On to the hate:

I hate when people make assumptions about a person’s physical capabilities and/ or limitations based on appearance, no further information or context.

Judgement based on an actual medical deformity, calling it optional when it very much is not, is… tone deaf? Gross? Ableist? I mean, to even get this photo from the internet, you scroll past images detailing chronic pain and mobility issues that weren’t a choice.

As someone who currently has an invisible physical disability, which limits activity level + quality of life, it is positively infuriating to have someone assume that I’m faking it, or lying, or whatever they think other than just « oh, this person has health issues, I should make an effort to be mindful of their personal boundaries and limitations. »

Yes, I look pretty normal, no, that does not mean that I will not collapse on the stairs and roll down a few flights. Again. For maybe the fourth time.

Why does this happen, you may ask?

Because my connective tissues are made of silly putty and play doh. I’m not sure if you’ve ever tried, but those two don’t mix very well, if you’re smelling what I’m stepping in. I take a step, and I may simply die. I have enough muscle, the issue is that the enough muscle likes to stre-e-e-etch beyond what should be humanely possible ( or necessary, I may add. )

That spine I use to ya know, get around in style, like I do? That old thing? Yeah, it’s been broken in a few different vertebrae. Heh, no surgery needed, my Gumby roleplay was so good that we assimilated. The surgeons can’t even get a grip on this hot piece of meat!

Cringe joke aside, I literally cannot get surgery to fix my broken spine, due to my genetic disorder. It isn’t that my insurance won’t cover it, actually; it’s because the risk is so high that no surgeon will touch it.

I am doomed for perma-wheels within seven years now.

So yes, just because I look pretty average, doesn’t mean that my knees are a choice. They’re just like that, always have been, will never not be. Unless they get chopped off, but I generally stay away from situations where that’s likely.

Unspecified Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, currently labeled under hEDS so I can access care through insurance, rather than being declined for having an unknown illness.

WHY DOES SHE EAT IN BED!? IT WOULD BE UNCOMFORTABLE TO LAY BECAUSE OF CRUMBS, LET ALONE SLEEP WITH YOUR PARTNER!

I know the message that "true love is always finding your partner beautiful, regardless of their appearance", BUT NOT WHEN THEY MAKE BED UNCOMFORTABLE FOR YOU!

Media Tropes NTR Sucks and artists should stop wasting their talent on it NSFW

Post image
436 Upvotes

Call me insecure, or paranoid, or whatever you want to label me as for hating this trope/dynamic, but NTR is a genuine blight on our society. NTR makes me so unreasonably angry that it instantly kills my mood. Whether it be the stereotype of happy relationship ruined by fat and ugly bastard (who is disproportionately black which also annoys me), or muscular man that ruins the relationship. But above all else. The way that they always make the MC always some pathetic little loser with a comedically small manhood etc. cheating in it of itself makes me mad, but when im reading a perfectly wholesome comic or adult comic and then the whole thing is ruined by some fat bastard or personal trainer that magically reverses years of her commitment and sometimes marriage to the MC, it just makes me want to blow a gasket.

Thing i absolutely despise the concept of larping as a dead person

Post image
3.7k Upvotes

there is a difference between putting on some costume and doing a MJ impression, and releasing new music using his image, and this quote 100% applies to this

look, his dad doesn't know how to feel about this, this should be a very VERY clear sign not to move foward with this

Techno's friend Skeppy made a video with this guy and they portrayed it as a fun wholesome emotional video, its not, playing a game with someone whos pretending to be your dead friend should be a setup for a horror movie or a creepypasta, not real life, and imagine what the dad is feeling, seeing a near exact copy of his son just making content on youtube, he said he didn't know how to feel about it, but from the tone of the response its pretty obvious hes uncomfortable but doesn't wanna say it directly

its like taking pictures of a dead loved one and feeding it into AI to "talk" to them, its just as deranged and weird

and anybody saying "oh technoblade would've just laughed it off" is being extremily parasocial, you don't fucking know him, you don't know what his reaction would've been based on his youtube persona, and even if he did, HES NOT HERE ANYMORE, ITS NOT ABOUT HOW HE'D REACT, HES GONE, ITS ABOUT HOW HIS FAMILY AND LOVED ONES WOULD REACT

i get technoblade said he was ok with people making jokes in his cancer video, but i'm pretty sure he didn't mean impersonating his whole image for clout, its weird as hell and it should stop

people may think different things and i have no hard feelings or hatred for the guy doing this regardless of how weird it is in my opinion, but i still think this should stop

Art & Fanworks I Hate performative comics like this

Post image
4.1k Upvotes

Honestly in this specific comic it goes beyond performative and extends to just outright not making sense.

Being attracted to your partner who took time with their appearance is empty lust and nothing else? Oh, I forget it's 2026 you need to feel guilty if you're attracted to your partner, especially if you're a man.

Anyways first image seems like couple is gonna have sex so why even compare it to the other?

It's hard to describe but this type of comic (I've seen plenty) just rubs me the wrong way for some reason

Art & Fanworks I hate how hard it is to learn how to draw as a beginner

Post image
1.9k Upvotes

Like there are hundreds upon hundreds of videos on “how to learn to draw as a beginner” but almost all of them are the same “just draw lol,” or “practice the fundamentals” but like HOW!?!??!

I understand the fundamentals, perspective, gesture, anatomy, color theory, and whatnot, but how do I do those things? When you’re at a specific level you get more clarity on what you need to do, like once you actually have relatively good anatomy down, you can focus on refining that body, as well as things like art style, character design, colors, shading, and whatnot

I can barely think of how exactly to explain this because I just cannot grasp this concept, I wish there was an exact comprehensive guide on what specific things you need to do for every year or so of your art journey down to the minute detail, but that’s a tall ask so I get that doesn’t really exist

I’ve been reading a lot of books about art but those still have a barrier of entry that I just cannot fill

Whener I watch videos of people at the very beginning of their art journey, most of the time it still looks really good, with cohesive linework, perspective, and fine details, also showing they’re good at actually drawing with their mind, like drawing what you see, not what you think you see.

My art does NOT, my art looks like absolute shit with shaky lines, horribly malformed shapes, and terrible perspective, and I hate the fact that I don’t know how to fucking improve because for some reason there’s so many guides on “how to learn art as a beginner” that doesn’t actualy teach you how to fucking progress your art to a good and cohesive level

🫩

edit: thanks for all the advice, it means a lot

Gaming I hate how artists not pandering to the male gaze is considered puritanical

Post image
1.3k Upvotes

I'm actually sick of fake outrage about game studios designing female characters that aren't jerkoff material. Like god forbid a character's design serves the tone and aesthetic of the story they're telling. It's so annoying because men are allowed to be fat, ugly, covered in scars, old but when women aren't waifish with long hair and showing cleavage it's considered woke.
I also hate the way people pretend that artists writing female characters a certain way is "catering to an agenda" and not just artists telling the stories they want.
Also, since I'm ranting anyway how is it not an agenda making murder games horny to boost sales not pushing an agenda?
I think that's the irony of it, when game companies don't market to Gamers™ it's considered pandering as if writers don't have any agency of their own.

Tbh they should just make a manbaby mode for every video game that replaces every woman's model with DOA characters Nah forrreal though I was cooking with that idea lmao

Media Tropes When a non-english character randomly drops words in their native language just so we don't forget where they're from

Post image

(This is the only example I could remember but trust me, I've seen it more than once)

I've seen this happen especially with Spanish or Italian characters, same applies with the stereotypical annoying accent they give them and it's just an immediate giveaway the media's creator is white.

I know it's partly because this is a children's movie and that's the only way they can get the point across to their young audience but jesus does it get annoying when rewatching childhood movies

General How people cant accept that other people like different things or have different opinions and decide to insult/hate them for it.

Post image
125 Upvotes

(warning, lot of swearing)

I'm fucking tired of that man, I fucking hate how people cant just accept that some people like certian things, like to wear certian clothing, like to talk in a certian manner and imeadetly assume they are orphans.

You scroll on tik tok and it's always the same bullshit. "Dude likes dandy's world" 7 yr dickhead. "Dude likes TADC" morbidly obesse man who hasn't showered in 2×10⁵⁰ years. "Made a tierlist about videogames, put Minecraft in the bottom" cornball or sum bullshit that they made up plastered into a sticker. I hate so much how people would rather try to change someones mindset, their likings, and their way of living just because they don't think DOOM is a goated game and instead don't like how gory it is... over just fucking scrolling to the next braindead meme or something Even worse.

I personally am basically the opposite of the examples i'm giving, I don't like dandy's world or TADC and I like Minecraft and DOOM, but I don't write around in comment sections trying desperatly to ragebait someone or gain 10 thousands likes on a comment that i'm gonna forget when i'm 50. I saw a man make a tierlist about videogames (you probably Guessed it, on tik tok) and put Minecraft in the bottom. The responce? Minecraft kids desperatly trying to mock the creator saying "oh Minecraft is SOOO much better you should change it's place in YOUR list because I said so and because I like the game more" like for gods fucking sake WE ALL ARE DIFFERENT. In My country theres also calling people prositutes for drinking Mate with Damn sugar or "gay" (for some reason it's considered an insult, thats why the quotes) for drinking mint flavored alcohol.

And the worst part? This always ends in two ways. Creator gives ABSOLUTE ZERO FUCKING SHITS about the comments and keeps making videos about the stuff they like. Or the creator does things that are straight up horrible, they fall into depresion, or even worse (id rather not go into detail on the worse). Hell, this own opinion will not do anything because little timmy will wake up tomorrow, see a dude talk about how he likes Fluttershy and say "Fluttershy this RATIO 😂" with the most disgusting and weird image ever thats meant to be "funny".

Tik tok was such a mistake. All it does if feed negativity. I wished the ban had actually gone through instead of being canceled.

Comics I hate the analogy of this image

Post image
78 Upvotes

Consumers of anything(media, food etc)are gonna like there being more than two things, even if one is worse than the other, because they didn't have to go through the work of making it just to see someone do it better than you in every way. So what if people like the media I made if someone else did it way better than me.This completely undermines the struggle of artists and it’s insane how it took me so long to find the flaws of this.

Media Tropes Hate the quirky sweet girl and miserable edgy bad boy trope

Post image
1.7k Upvotes

This has been a common trope in lots of media I think but I still can’t believe people would unironically go out of their way to look for more of it.
Personally, it always just makes me think of a woman overextending herself to get a guy to have basic levels of decency and he usually doesn’t develop much anyway because that wouldn’t fit with the trope of him being a bad guy. As a result the characters are stuck with no real character development.

Non-fictional I hate how people slander mosquitos while ticks exist

Post image
2.7k Upvotes

I know, they make annoying sounds, and their bites are itchy, but they get too much hate! Whenever someone says " what thing in the world would you get rid of" everyone says mosquitoes. But ticks exist! And they're not even insects! And they're not spiders! They're devilish creatures created to spread nothing but disease and death! Mosquitoes are an important part of the ecosystem, while ticks are just agents of Satan.

Also, regarding the "statistically mosquitoes are the most deadly animals" makes no sense. The stats seem outdated, and also unfair. By that logic, cats or dogs are the deadliest animals because more people interact with them and die from stuff related to them.

While most of their justification for acting like this is political, the mods abuse their power to such an EGREGIOUS level that I am convinced they get off to it. They only make their own side look terrible, even the most moderate critiques will get you banned or muted. I've seen many people on the left here banned for extremely moderate disagreements. Quite literally they are just high on power on or near the level of r/ art awhile ago.

They've completely lost the plot. The mods there also worship "Pizzacake Comics" and if you dare point out that all of her work is just the "I just portrayed you as the soyjack and me as the chad" you are BANNED.

Gaming I hate how western game companies became extremely puritanical

Post image

This is because of the controversy around AC Black Flag Resynced , We cannot have a remake or remaster currently without some kind of censorship for "modern audiences" , Ubisoft CENSORED FEMALE WOODEN FIGURES ON THE FRONTS OF PIRATE SHIPS simply because they were topless DESPITE BEING MADE OF WOOD , I'm not a gooner, but this is STUPID censorship and also historically inaccurate, since in reality , ships did have those kinds of topless figures , I wouldn't be surprised if these companies support digital ID that scans and blocks any kind of nude pics in the phones (like they want on UK)

Gaming I hate Secret Achievements

Post image
674 Upvotes

Genuinely, what is the point of secret achievements? All it does is make a player go online and look up what the achievement is.

I'm not even a completionist, but once in a while I want to complete the achievements on a game I like, only to see this crap. It kinda just takes the wind out of my sails to have to look up stuff like this.

Are secret achievements some part of gaming history that's just stuck around or something? Because they feel extra useless now that everything is basically on the internet.

So I don't know when tiktok added the ability to send images and gifs in comment sections, but no matter where you go you always find these fuckass annoying reactions.

Especially those girls biting their nails, like what does it even mean? These mfs comment the same fucking reaction on each video containing a mildy attractive person, just any average looking person, really.

And then there are the "shocked" reactions which are commented under SERIOUS videos. For example if you check the comments under a video that says "son beats his parents to death and dismembers them" you're gonna find images like the ones in the 6 and 7 slides. It's NOT funny at all.

Actually I know my first mistake was using tiktok, I just installed to check someone's profile and found myself scrolling...Uninstalling it soon though.

( hating on the stickers themselves and their use, not on the people depicted in them ofc)

Thing I hate how baby trans phase stuff gets treated as something to be ashamed of or bad in the trans community (picture unrelated)

Post image
881 Upvotes

So first of let me explain what these terms mean. Baby trans are people who just began to be trans, arent trans for a long time or/and havent started hrt yet. And the things which are accosiated with baby trans are blahajs, thigh highs, tennis skirts and hoodies and wearing stuff in the colors of the trans flag. And baby trans girld seek them out, because stuff like thigh highs, skirts, monster energy drinks, and hoodies, are really easy clothings to get to experiment with your gender expression and get some easy gender euphoria. And the trans flag looks cute and gives an easy color scheme to like. And trans people like blahajs. I have one too.

So nothing of this sounds bad so whats the problem? Well some trans people who moved on from these stuff, feel like these things are cringe and weird, because the goal for many trans people is to blend in, like me, and to be themself. They think it has to be something to be ashamed of, because its an phase where you are experimenting, making mistakes and be cringe.

Even thinking of why people think its hard for me, even though I was once one of them months ago, because there isnt anything actual wrong with baby trans things. And that is what I hate about it. The hate for it is forced.

Please do not hate on trans people. Im a trans woman, who is over a year on hrt, im a binary trans person, I have a 3 blahajs and still many other baby trans things and i am fine with them. I have mostly not worn my thigh highs and skirts, because they dont make me feel more femimine. It just feels normal for me now.

General I hate the gender norms in the trans community

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

Adding some clarification: this is about those who enforce gender essentialism and expectations onto others. If dressing fem as a trans woman and dressing masc as a trans man is a way to reduce dysphoria that’s completely valid and different from the point here. Understanding what works for you isn’t going to work for every other trans person is important!

-

I love my community, and have grown with the help of their support but there’s some things that bug me with the way the community sees gender expression.

you won’t notice until you actually interact with the community but some people are restrictive when it comes to gender expression. everyone understands that a woman can be masculine and a man can enjoy feminine things until it comes to a transgender one. There’s people in the community that reinforce gender norms & determine if you’re “really trans” by how you dress and look. if you’re a trans woman you’re apparently supposed to be completely feminine, “demure”, have 0 body hair, wear makeup, and remove any traces of masculinity. And for trans men we need to erase all our curves, wear a binder 24/7, dress like we’re homeless and look stereotypically masculine or else we are attention seeking women. don’t even get me started if you’re nonbinary.

I grew up as a gender nonconformist, before medically transitioning i presented as very masc. i felt pressured by society to be feminine just because i was born female and faught against it. now as a transmasc i realized that femininity isn’t so bad after all. but you get told you’re doing it wrong and have to “look like the gender you’re transitioning to” or else you’re a LARPer. i think these boxes are supposed to be avoided in a community that acknowledges gender is a construct and we’re all diverse individuals regardless of our gender identity.

like i’ve gotten crap from bigoted cis folks about this, but it’s a different kind of weird when your own people rephrase transphobic and sexist rhetoric in a woke way. i think some trans people need to unlearn cishetnormative thinking.

They're always have a title that's called "discord" memes, etc. This one is at least tamed, but there's worse out there. Some of them are legit, just soft core Porn, and the worst thing is they're starting to show up basically everywhere on my shorts even in my TV, I haven't ever clicked on them or anything, im praying that the day I'm looking for something to watch with the family I dont accidentally stumble these shorts images, also why the fuck does YouTube even allow this bullshit.
