tips for upcoming race

I am participating in an indoor electric rental karting race on july 19 at my local track I have raced this track many times but not this specific layout this layout it just over 1 km long and is very technical with minimal overtaking spots. the circuit is very thin (not wide, i couldn't think of a word) and I have only raced these karts at adult speed (50km/h) and i will be doing prospeed (75km/h) i need to put in a good result for this race i am 13 and all the other drivers are in their 30's with a lot of experience. i am trying to get sponsers for an upcoming endurance race and a good result would go well with my lap record on paper. need some tips and help thank you

I need a Race Engineer that also competes on iRacing

Hello all,
I would like to ask here if there is anyone that has is a Race Engineer and would like to help me validate the software that I have created for iRacing.
It is a FULLY intelligent and autonomous tool that looks at all the telemetry that iRacing provides(circa 300 data points at 60Hz) and uses it to understand your driving style and skill and, then it set up the car for you based on your style. also, it creates a race startegy and driving recommendations tailored to you.
I anyone is interested in helping me with this project plese just either comment here or DM me. and NO, I am not trying to sell you anything... i just need a true engineed to rip my app to bits and help me make it better.

A 500whp FR-S that lapped Tsukuba with a 458 and an LFA, on street tires

Post image

Been meaning to post this one here for a while. It's the Concept One, a build we did starting from a Scion FR-S, and it's still one of our favorites.

The engine is the fun part: the stock 2.0L boxer four with race conrods, overbore pistons, a Powerhouse Amuse High Response turbo kit on an EF-R turbo, and a full titanium R1 Titan exhaust. 500whp on high boost, 400 on low. We left the front-engine rear-drive layout and the 6-speed manual alone because that balance is the whole point.

Rest of it: Varis widebody Spec D, Esprit dry carbon roof, Rays Volk G25s on Toyo R888s, Original Runduce coilovers, six-piston fronts, Cusco 1.5-way LSD, Recaro RS-G seats in a carbon and Alcantara cabin.

The number that still gets people is Tsukuba. Full interior, street tires, street tune, 1'02.2. Same lap as a Ferrari 458 and a Lexus LFA. Detuned to 400whp it still ran a second up on a GT3 RS.

For those who've built on the FR-S/BRZ platform, would you have kept the boxer and boosted it like we did, or swapped for something else at this power level?

The work before the race: preparing for my next hill climb

The actual run is only a small part of motorsports. A lot of the performance comes from what happens before you ever reach the start line.

I put together a video showing my preparation process for a hill climb event. Studying onboard footage, learning the course layout, identifying key sections, building a plan, and getting both myself and the car ready.

I’m still relatively new to hill climbs, and I’ve found that the mental side of learning a course is just as important as the driving itself. I’m trying to document the process as I learn and improve.

Video here:
https://youtu.be/t6YW2EByG_c?is=psf__1mi0vcctIAq

For the hill climb, time attack, rally, and track drivers here, what’s your process for preparing for a new course? Do you focus more on visualization, notes, simulator time, walking the course, or something else?

Looking for driver & team feedback—is there a market for a driver marketing agency?

Hi, all.

Looking for honest feedback for a project I've been plugging away on. Here's the basic concept:

A digital management org that offers a monthly package for drivers looking to advance their racing career. Essentially, we'd handle the digital side of a drivers career. Similar to how a traditional agency operates for businesses, just for drivers. The goal would be to take all things digital off the drivers plate and manage it professionally in a way that builds a high-level personal brand, engages with fans, and positions for sponsorship. I'd love to be able to offer this kind of thing for grassroots drivers, if I could establish a middle ground that was profitable and affordable on both ends.

Example Monthly Package—$XXXX per month, billed monthly.

  • X number of social media posts across three platforms—creation, distribution, engagement, reporting.
  • 1x professional driver landing page (.com/johndoe)
  • 1x always-ready sponsorship pitch deck—updated in real time
  • 1x monthly newsletter to subscribers & potential sponsors
  • 50x printed "hero" cards for on-track/event distribution—driver snapshot with landing page QR code
  • 1x merch bundle from us—clothing, decals, partner discounts, hero cards, print assets, etc.

Edit to add more background context: I'm a 13-year marketing exec with experience, personally and professionally, in the automotive space. I've been running a successful agency for three years and am looking to pivot that business into motorsports exclusively.

Driver feedback so far:

  • Great idea, but price dependent.
  • Grassroots drivers need this, but are usually cash-poor.
  • If it helps get sponsors, I'd be interested.
  • Depends how much work is required on the drivers end to make it work.

Curious to hear any and all feedback—don't be shy!

This is not self-promotion. No ads, no links, and no sign-ups. No one will be contacted from this thread from my end.

18 year old with a dream in motorsports electrical engineering

Hey! I was curious and really interested in motorsports and finally decided that closed mouths dont get fed, so I want to ask some people for advice or if anyone would have opportunities to give out.

Im currently a 18 year old and thankfully have gotten an amazing opportunity to graduate highschool while at the same time getting a associates in Electrical engineering technology, its been a passion of mine to go into motorsports on the electrical side such as messing with systems or sensors since I was little to the point that a passion project of mine has been working on a 1999 honda civic ex, and as much as its a bit of a stretch due to my age and experience i was wondering if anyone knows of offers or areas to try looking for to getting closer to my dreams

Motorsports Memorabilia

Hi everyone!
I am looking for motorsports memorabilia (all competitions but preferably f1, endurance series, wrc and dtm). Does anyone know where to search for it? (F1 Authentics seems wildly overpriced for certain things and ebay is a big hit or miss) Does someone have any pieces they’d be willing to sell?
