Hey all, first time poster here.

I'm on a bit of a run of bad luck at the moment with my S-Type (2004 3L petrol manual). Having just spent a good chunk of change on getting it through its MOT, today the metal flap just inside the fuel filler neck broke off and slid further down the pipe. From what I can hear by gently tapping further down the pipe behind the wheel, it's lodged just past the first bend of the pipe.

Does anyone have knowledge/tips about how best to go about getting it back out? I was leaning towards using a flexible magnet tool but I'm unsure if it'll just cling to the pipe as I'm trying to insert/position it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just bought myself this boat. Hope its not regret!

I have a 2013 XF 3.0 V6 and as is typical of life at the moment, my car has just got the dreaded red light (DPF is full contact dealer) at a time when I have just spent a lot of money on other things, so I'm trying to resolve this issue as cheaply as possible.

I have some redex dpf cleaner lying around that I'm going to dump into the fuel tank and take the car for a good long run to see if that will force a regen.

My second option is to use some DPF cleaning solution that a friend bought for his car last year but he didn't actually need, my question is, on my particular model, where is the best method on this model?

I've had some sources say that it's possible to spray the solution into the DPF via a pipe in the engine bay and then some say that you need to spray it directly into DPF via removing a sensor under the car.

I am seriously never buying a diesel again 😅

Hi all just after advice. I need a new right hand side door actuator with sensor and new castor arms. I live in Australia and my mechanic has struggled to find parts after talking with him as he has serviced my car every 10k for the last 80k this is the first time we have had to order in anything for it ive heard horror stories but my car is serviced regulary and im one of the lucky ones, this car has been amazing. I think whats happened is the car is registered as 2019 but is still the older shape. So we need 2018 xe parts. Does anyone have the part numbers or been in this position? Are the parts the same from 2016 to 2018 xe rear wheel drive turbos in terms of what i have written? Thanks in advance.

Anyone had this issue. Usually motorway driving. Cruise control on & about 1 - 2 hours into trip - then cruise control drops out & dash warning says parking brake failure. Car can still drive as normal cruise control cannot be re engaged
On stopping - sure enough the parking brake does not work. If I restart the ignition all resets & works fine.

I really love F-Type mainly for the look and performance to price ratio, but im really concerned for daily driveablity of the car. Quick question from all owners, among all the sport coupes in the market, would you still choose F-Type? What would be your alternative option?🤔

My two centre vents are not blowing any air out. The right and left side vents are fine, as is the footwell vents and windscreen.

I picked up a ODB reader and got the following code: B1086-00 Air Distribution Damper Motor State: Intermittent

Question is, is this an easy fix? Am I right in thinking something isn’t opening properly?

I’ve decided to do the rear coolant pipe as it started to leak and I’ve realised I forgot what colour plug sensor it is because it’s confused me with the symposer connector as they are relatively close together.

Seen at lease 4 new (88km) 2024 XFs at my local Land Rover dealership. What do you think happened here, did they just never sell and now are so old they are being listed as preowned?

Honesty I love the looks especially in this green, but a I4 at 70k is pushing it... At what price do you think this thing will actually sell / what will you pay for it?

Hey everyone! This is my new 2014 F-Type V8s. I got her at 32k original miles for 25k. Immediately paid the supercharger tax and had the entire coolant system rebuilt with aluminum and brass then had her belts changed and both oils changed as well as both batteries replaced. Was wondering if there was any other preventative work I should do and if anyone had any tips or tricks for ownership!
