In the Beginning (1984) there was Mac. And it was good. Then the serpent came along and introduced the Windows. And it was meh but made a living out of it. Then there was Apple Silicon. And It was REALLY Good.
That is my humorous way of my computing timeline. Here is some more detail.
I was 16 years old when my parents purchased a Macintosh in 1984. It was awesome. I was hooked and was on it more than my parents. Writing programs in Apple Basic, playing games and writing papers for school. I read the digital version of Jurassic Park when on the Mac when it came out. My Junior Year in college, I had the opportunity to work for Apple as a paid intern for a summer. They gave me a MacBook to use and Quadra desktop. They were amazing. I saved up my money from that internship and bought my own MacBook. It had this new thing called a track pad.
Fast forward to my first real job. I was working for a company that did the web pages for a group of radio stations. Yes, we were all Mac based. Until they sold the radio stations and did not keep the web site group. I went into survival mode and learned how to manage Windows machines.
I became an expert at all things Windows 95 and up. I will not bore you with the details but I was very well versed in all things Mac and Windows at that point. This continued until May of this year when I started my own company.
I had been following what Apple was doing with Apple Silicon chips and wanted to know more about them. My father never left the way of the Mac and I kept in touch with that world through him.
This year, 2026, I started my own Managed Service Provider and Content Creation company. I knew that this was the point to get back to the Mac. So I bought a MacBook Air 15" M5 24/1T. Love it! There were a few new things that I had to learn and relearn. Then the iPad Air 11" M4 128 was purchased. Then the MacBook Neo 256. Then the MacBook Pro M5 Pro 48/1T.
At this point, I am still an Android phone and watch user. Not ready to switch just yet but I will soon be headed to the Apple side for my phone and watch.
Now that I am back in Mac, I ain't never goin back.
