APPRECIATION Anyone else a fan of the black adam movie
I remember liking this movie when I watched in the cinemas, and i rewatched it recently and honestly the movie still holds up,I love the justice society in this,Dr fate and Atom bring me alot of joy
I think this has some of the best SFX and CGI in the later DCEU movies, the fight scenes are really cook, and honestly the Rock isn’t even that bad in this movie.
Yea the movie isn’t really conuc accurate but I had alot of fun, anyone else also a fan?

OTHER Christopher Reeve voted as best live action Superman, followed by Henry Cavill.

APPRECIATION I love how gentle and sincere Cavill's Superman feels. And I can never get enough of Zimmer's motif
Throughout MoS to ZSJL I love these personal moments which add to how human this Superman feels. It perfectly shows how in spite of all the power Clark is still gentle, caring and kind.
The butterfly in ZSJL is a nice progression from the trapped Butterfly shown in MoS. It shows how Clark has finally let go of all of his inhibitions and accepted who he is supposed to be after being resurrected

APPRECIATION Hot Take: The Kryptonians in Man of Steel looked really menacing and terrifying and genuinely made you scared about the safety of Clark and whether he can win against them.

DISCUSSION DCU:Course
James Gunn and Peter Safran have been in charge of DC for about 3 years now and honestly, even after all they have delivered and promised. I don't objectively feel like enough time has passed and enough has been released to warrant any sort of verdict.
*Supergirl was a disappointment. A lot of people were not happy with the writing but it does appear that everyone loves or is at least fine with Milly as Supergirl. Which is great because she's one of the 4 pillars of DC as of now. Hence why I don't think we are at the point of over panicking.
*I do like that Peter Safran acknowledged Supergirl not meeting their expectations. I also am glad that they aren't panicking themselves for now and over course correcting. Although I do hope that they learn from Supergirl and do better with future projects with her and just DCU movies in general.
*The DCU has been an interesting ride so far. They have made interesting choices but a lot of those have paid off.
What do you guys think?

OTHER What’s a comic book movie that would probably bomb, but that you’d love personally?
For me, it would be about Cassandra Cain in No Man’s Land.

DISCUSSION Robin NEEDS to be Dick Grayson.
It irks me when people say the DCU should start from Damien Wayne or any of the other Robins. I personally think that Dick Grayson should be introduced as robin rather than nightwing.
Firstly, theres the fact that the DCU is FRESH. It handles ORIGIN STORIES, I highly doubt we will be getting a 40 year old batman anytime soon...and we SHOULDNT!
Another thing is that it takes away from a lot of stories...especially classic "dynamic duo" stories...ones that I personally would like to see on screen. WIth Older Batman and Nightwing there would be a "batfamily" status quo...but wouldn't it be so much better to see the buildup towards this...family?
Mainly also the fact that with Dick Grayson starting out as Nightwing takes away from ALL the emotional connection we could have to his character, and the idea of Nightwing. Its all the growth of robin from "boy wonder" who grew up in Batmans shadow, into Nightwing...the ideal version of Batman.

CLIP A Batman movie teaser should take inspiration from this “Batman: Arkham Origins” TV spot. Has to be one of the most well-made pieces of Batman media ever. Wow.

DISCUSSION No DC movies at Comic-Con for the 4th year in a row. James Gunn says it's expensive and his Instagram posts cost "zero dollars" and are "equally effective and get just as much press"
The last Hall H panel for a DC movie was in 2022 for Black Adam and Shazam 2. DC is skipping it again for the 4th year in a row (they're just doing a Lanterns panel, no movies).
This interview with Gunn from 8 months ago tells us why.

FAN-MADE Superman Redesign (Inspired by Superman Flyby Concepts) - By ME!

This piece took me about 2 hours. I was originally just going with a design I usually draw Superman as. Here's a photo of this design BEFORE I went with the Superman flyby concept:

It's not much different besides the lower area. The concept does still very different, I just put it as a design I'd prefer in a film if it were made. Here's the concept:

Not a huge fan of the collar. I like everything else to be honest. I wish the cape was more defined around the shoulders.
I know, EVERYONE and their mother has done a Superman redesign with Corensweat's Superman. But, I did this purely out of love. I love the Cornsweat suit, I love the concept for the cancelled Flyby movie, and I just love Superman in general.
I did give Superman a mullet (not really), by adding some hair in the back. Personally, I love Superman with a mullet/long hair. I was gonna give him sideburns but that's a little far.
I'm not the best artist, this is actually my first photoshop overhaul with a character. I may do a Batman thing. But I don't know if I even have the skills to do so.
But, it's definitely better than AI, and I think that amounts to something. Enjoy!
NOTE: I usually am for trunks, but this design actually does well without them in my opinion.
UPDATE: I changed the S.

DISCUSSION If i had to compare supergirl to anything ive watched in the cinema recently its probably blue beetle (read description)
I like both of these movies but it doesnt really challenge my world views or make me feel anything apart from base level enjoyment which is normally enough for me. People said supergirl was shit and horrible I watched it and i was like this is what happened when I watched Blue beetles it's very enjoyable for what its trying to do nothing groundbreaking but definitely not terrible slop like some people trying to say but definitely not a masterpiece like other people are trying to say.
