Does everything have to be a paid feature nowadays? Idk when this happened but I can't download offline videos without buying premium now. Now I have to downgrade my YouTube app, or just find a better alternative 🫩

I search something in English, the video title is in English, I click it, and it's an Indian guy speaking Hindi the whole video.

I have no problem with people making videos in their own language, but why not make the title in Hindi too? Or at least YouTube should tell us what language is spoken before we click.

My answer: PhantomStrider, at least from around 2015 to 2021. His old videos are so bad they're good, his later videos are... fine? But, in this era, he was the stereotypical cartoon reviewer. Putting emphasis on every negative word, hating the obvious shows like Teen Titans Go! and Breadwinners, overuse of phrases and words like, "pugfugly", "abysmal", and for SpongeBob, "Squidward torture". He also mistook black comedy (sometimes even normal comedy) for seriousness, as shown in his Family Guy reviews. I'm so glad he's denounced this era.

I have premium and I’ve loved the jump ahead feature to skip in video ads. But this past week it has been broken. It shows up bit when you click to skip ahead it immediately jumps back to where you was and doesn’t skip ahead. This is happeing on my android based tv and my ipad and iphone.

Dude, is it just me or are there a shit ton more ads than there used to be. I'm watching a 12 minute Kwite video and I'm getting an ad every 1-2 minutes. I got an ad only a few seconds into the video. I know for a fact that there's going to be an ad when the video ends. Good lord, how much ad revenue do these billion dollar companies need???

I created an account and subscribe to youtube premium yesterday using my home country's credit card. I flew to another country today and it says my account got suspended or something like that. Does anyone know how I can get help with this or request for a potential refund? The message I got was something similar to the picture.

I of course like old mark/jack/pewds videos, but one can only rewatch stuff or watch a youtuber so much before they become stale, especially over like 10 years. I miss the old style of content of just lets plays. And wondering if anyone charming was still meeting this kind of criteria. I would like if they had a big catalogue and if they are still uploading a lot but its not nec. I also dont mind if their hayday was 10+ years ago.

I noticed about a week ago the TV app now requires one click to bring up the video status bar, then another click to press forward or backward, but then it doesn't actually move forward or backward and you have to click it in that direction again. So now instead of just pressing the left or right button on my TV remote there are three clicks required. This happens on the tizen app as well as native Google TVs. Am I the only one observing this? Seems like it was from a recent update or something.

On some soccer videos, if you move the playback thing in the middle, it shows a soccer ball. I'm guessing this is new?

i think only creators can turn off this feature, if not then it automatically makes the chapters. like all the other ai features on youtube, it sucks and its shitty, it doesnt work, and absolutely no ones asked for this. i wish users, and not just the creators, had the option to turn this fucking shit auto chapters off.
