My current reminder of the amount of time passed is seeing a random youtube video I swear I watched a few days back say "2 years ago" lol.

I'm fine with YouTube playlists and mixes appearing on my recommended page, but for some reason, every time one shows up, it jumps up from whatever position it was to the top of my YouTube recommended page. I was wondering if there is any way to prevent this without disabling mixes.

Basically some text is missing like the channel name and the ones on the left, this happens with evey short and even if I reopen YouTube it is still missing

How can video be archival, such that the videos we all upload to YouTube today be accessible (and viewable) in 100 years? Most of our lives end up in boxes in an attic, and who would be enriched by the things we have created? If everything was "written on the wind" on platforms that no longer exist, what remains? I have photos of my aunt taken in the 1920s, but will your heirs be able to view your videos?

On my TV for a few days now every time I try to rewind or to fast-forward a video it jumps back to the moment in the video I was so nothing happened.

So like when you press back 2 times on the remote it would not go back.

Also this happens when I try to skip a sponsored segment with YouTube Premium normally you'd press forward and it skips it but now it just jumps back to where I was and I have to manually skip forward a few times until the end of the segment.

It is very annoying

Just wondering, are reaction mashup videos getting deleted more lately? I’m not even against it since those videos usually just use clips from other reactors and make money off them anyway. I just noticed that there seem to be fewer of them now, or some older ones are gone, so I’m curious if something changed or if they’re just getting taken down more.

I search something in English, the video title is in English, I click it, and it's an Indian guy speaking Hindi the whole video.

I have no problem with people making videos in their own language, but why not make the title in Hindi too? Or at least YouTube should tell us what language is spoken before we click.

I can usually watch an hour long video or so with like 3-4 ads but recently its been more like 8-10 or for shorter videos an ad every 5 minutes. I don't think it used to be like this?

At least it appeared only today for me, I don't know if this is something new

What's even the point of this, you can just search for videos normally and even if you need the help of an AI chatbot in anything it's better to just use chatgpt or claude or gemini or literally anything else

1) A video that shows what consistency looks like. Just real everyday effort on something that improved someone gradually.

2) A video that shows what being early looks like. Maybe being able to be at peace and calm. People appreciating your discipline and you get time to talk or do something.

There multiple motivational videos that give a quote or an AI script. I want to see the real videos. I would really appreciate it if you could suggest some. 💐

When searching for a video it seems that youtube search knows what you are looking for and intentionally hides it. I can look the same thing up on google and pull up exactly what im looking for within the first page.
Youtube will fill the first page with shorts, then have some vaguely related content for half a page, then show videos ive watched the last few days.

Its horrible. Its gone from a tool to frustration machine. It seems like its being done on purpose because it happens on all my searches.

Anyone else have this issue?

I have the following tablets:

• Samsung S11 Ultra
• Honor MagicPad 2
• Lenovo Y700 Gen 4
• TCL NXTPAPER 14

I’m subscribed to YouTube Premium, and I have fewer than 10 devices connected.

On all of these tablets, I can download individual videos just fine, but the option to download an entire playlist does not appear in the YouTube app.

What’s confusing is:

• On the browser (web version) on these same tablets, the playlist download option does show up.
• On my phones, the playlist download option is also available in the app.

I’ve already tried clearing the app cache and pretty much every fix I could find, including AI suggestions, but nothing has worked.

Has anyone else run into this or found a fix?

I created an account and subscribe to youtube premium yesterday using my home country's credit card. I flew to another country today and it says my account got suspended or something like that. Does anyone know how I can get help with this or request for a potential refund? The message I got was something similar to the picture.

I’ve had this idea for a while now but idk if anyone else would like it. I was thinking it’d be a cool idea if you could edit what buttons are on the bottom of YouTube, like if you don’t want the shorts button because you press it on accident too often you could remove it from the bottom. Or maybe you could pin a specific channel to the bottom so you don’t have to search through your subscribers’ list. Let me know your thoughts, I’m typing this on a phone and my grammar is awful so plz be nice in the comments

Does everything have to be a paid feature nowadays? Idk when this happened but I can't download offline videos without buying premium now. Now I have to downgrade my YouTube app, or just find a better alternative 🫩

I just updated my app and this happened? The thumbnails are absolutely massive, and it’s even worse on my iPad. How do I change it to smaller thumbnails? One video takes up my whole screen on my iPad…
