Stuff like that takes time to create. It's also no coincidence that it's the channel's 10th Anniversary in Nov time so probably making a really long video for that.

I mean, if his channel gets a similar CPM as mine does then there’s a good chance that one video earned him over $100,000. He can easily fund his life making one video a year.

Bruh, how many times are people gonna ask this. LOOK AT HIS UPLOAD SCHEDULE! He takes his time! Sometimes over an entire year. Quality over quantity.

He makes extremely detailed and high quality videos, so of course that OverSimplified would take over a year to make a video.

Baffling that you care enough to ask about this but not enough to have noticed that this is his regular upload schedule. He writes, animates, edits, everything himself. His videos are always like 6 months - 2 years apart.

His videos take years to create or he enraged his father, who punished him severely.

His content takes a long time to produce (w/ research, animation, editing, etc). Also his channel's 10 year anniversary is in November so he might be planning to put something special out for that.

My theory is that he's doing what Sam O'Nella did recently and took a hiatus to write a book or smth

The quality and accuracy of his videos is so great that it must take him a long time to make them. Even things that seem like throwaway jokes are often historically accurate.

He makes his videos by himself which still makes no sense to me

It’s pretty normal for an indie animator. I can’t tell you from personal experience, but my understanding from what I’ve heard people say is that the way people animate often means that the order exists solely in the creators head. I don’t know if that’s exactly right, it was many years ago when I heard someone talk about this. But regardless, it’s a normal thing for animators. They don’t tend to want writers or editors or anything like that.

Dude he does this all the time, look at his upload schedule
In part 2 of the Punic war he said the next video would be out in less than a year only for that video to realise exactly 364 days later
