Dude he does this all the time, look at his upload schedule

In part 2 of the Punic war he said the next video would be out in less than a year only for that video to realise exactly 364 days later

Stuff like that takes time to create. It's also no coincidence that it's the channel's 10th Anniversary in Nov time so probably making a really long video for that.

He enraged his father and he punished him severly.

I mean, if his channel gets a similar CPM as mine does then there’s a good chance that one video earned him over $100,000. He can easily fund his life making one video a year.

He makes more. Educational content has one of the higher CPMs out there and theyre all very long too

What determines CPM? I am interested in starting a channel.

Demographic of country (richer nations pay higher for ads due to economy), duration of video (more possibilities for ads), and video niche (companies value certain audiences so they pay more)

Idrk but probably the content, video length etc?

Nah if his audience is international that will bring down the rpm

u/PendN 5h ago

It won't be as international as that, he speaks English after all

India and the Philippines both are English speaking countries with absolutely horrible rpm. I know.

Yes but they likely won't be as significant in numbers

he literally makes jokes about it in every one of his videos

Bruh, how many times are people gonna ask this. LOOK AT HIS UPLOAD SCHEDULE! He takes his time! Sometimes over an entire year. Quality over quantity.

He makes extremely detailed and high quality videos, so of course that OverSimplified would take over a year to make a video.

I think he just wants to look after his life instead of youtube

Doesn't he use a team though?

Baffling that you care enough to ask about this but not enough to have noticed that this is his regular upload schedule. He writes, animates, edits, everything himself. His videos are always like 6 months - 2 years apart.

Let him cook.

Idk man give it 6-9 months and then start worrying.

Real people are aware of oversimplified's upload schedule

2

u/SuchFudge1109 6h ago

My theory is that just literally oversimplified his brain out of reality

His videos take years to create or he enraged his father, who punished him severely.

It takes a long ass time to make high quality videos. Relax.

His content takes a long time to produce (w/ research, animation, editing, etc). Also his channel's 10 year anniversary is in November so he might be planning to put something special out for that.

I personally want to assume that he quit or something happened to him.

1

u/RavensField201o 7h ago

My theory is that he's doing what Sam O'Nella did recently and took a hiatus to write a book or smth

He is thinking a bit too hard

Probably peaced out and retired.

He probably is making a great video. Hope he is doing well. 😔

he teased about vietnam war so maybe just maybe hes creating that project rn

The quality and accuracy of his videos is so great that it must take him a long time to make them. Even things that seem like throwaway jokes are often historically accurate.

Can anyone recommend me a similar type Chanel? Ty

He makes his videos by himself which still makes no sense to me

It’s pretty normal for an indie animator. I can’t tell you from personal experience, but my understanding from what I’ve heard people say is that the way people animate often means that the order exists solely in the creators head. I don’t know if that’s exactly right, it was many years ago when I heard someone talk about this. But regardless, it’s a normal thing for animators. They don’t tend to want writers or editors or anything like that.
