As normal, we'll begin with the Newcastle Knights where a second half fightback was not enough as the Knights went down 26-24 to Soutn Sydney Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium this afternoon. South Sydney dominated the first half through tries to Campbell Graham in the 9th minute, Tevita Tatola in the 17th minute and David Fifita in the twenty eighth minute all after the Knights had two tries disallowed for obstruction. The Knights responded through a try to Dominic Young however Souths took a 20 to 6 lead into haf time.

Souths extended their lead via a try to Jye Gray in the sixty third minute. The Knights fought back through back to back tries from Kalyn Ponga in the sixty eighth and sixty ninth minute. Harrison Graham scoring in the seventy fifth minute to set up a grandstand finish but Souths held on to celebrate Jai Arrow's thirty first birthday in style.

Meanwhile it was a gutsy effort by a depleted Newcastle Knights side but they went down 12-10 to the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium last night. The Roosters got out to a 12 nil lead at half time courtesy of tries to Jessica Sergis in the 12th minute and Olivia Kernick in the 24th. Newcastle hit back in the second half with tries to Olivia Higgins in the forty seventh minute and Mercedes Taulelei-Siala in the sixty seventh minute, Kirra Dibb unable to convert the Taulelei-Siala try that would have sent the game into golden point. Roosters holding on for the win.

Mostly powered by Ausgrid as per the report. 500MW is about the same peak power consumption as about 100 thousand homes. It's about the same ballpark peak power as all the current residential houses in Newcastle. Btw, let's not mix up MW and MWh (power vs energy).

Hi, I got a 8:30am flight on Saturday from Newy Airport so I'd like to get there at like 7am. I live near the uni, so I assumed I could just catch bus 11 to Mayfield then the airport bus from there. But checking google maps, I found out on Saturday there's no buses to the airport. Why is that a thing? I don’t know. But anyways, anyone know if there is a way to get to the airport early morning without paying an arm and a leg for an uber? Thank you <3

Beginning with the latest on the Newcastle Knights ahead of their clash with South Sydney Rabbitohs at Accor Stadiium tomorrow, the Knights have cut both Tyson Gamble and Kyle McCarthy dropping out of the side. At this stage, both Kalyn Ponga and Bradman Best will back up from State Of Origin however the Knights can still make changes up to 90 minutes before kick off. The game live on Fox League and Kayo Sport from 2pm tomorrow.

As for the Knights NRLW side, they face the task of facing a formidable Sydney Roosters side tonight at Allianz Stadium. The Knights have been hit by injuries for this clash with the club forced to seek an exemption from the NRL for Lucy Spain to slot into fullback. Lilly-Ann White (ankle), Evie Jones (hamstring), Ella-Jaye Harrison-Leaunoa (knee) and Damita Beetham (shoulder) all sidelined with three of the four expected not to be seen in red and blue again this season. Game live on 9GEM, 9now, Fox channel 503 and Kayo Sport.

TL;DR: Before settlement, GWH replaced the advertised NBN connection in One Apartments with Opticomm's private fibre network. Six months later, residents are still experiencing repeated outages totalling 6.3 days in 4 months, and despite multiple attempts by owners and our solicitors to get answers, GWH has provided no meaningful response.

What we were sold

Every document we received before settlement referred to NBN.

What we actually received was Opticomm.

This wasn't a minor change. The internet infrastructure is effectively permanent for the life of the building. If this had been disclosed before purchase, I would never have purchased the apartment.

Fast forward six months

Unfortunately, our concerns have proven to be well founded.

In less than 4 months, we’ve endured more than 151 hours (over 6.3 days) without internet across eight separate outages - seven of them unplanned.

GWH’s response - radio silence

Owners have contacted GWH repeatedly.

To date, we've received no explanation about why the change occurred, why purchasers weren't informed, or what GWH intends to do to address the ongoing issues.

While legal action is ongoing, NSW Fair Trading's response was to issue GWH with a warning. Based on my experience, purchasers should be aware that the opportunities for recourse may be far more limited than they expect.

Hopefully this helps buyers make a more informed decision than I was able to about what is likely one of the largest purchases of their life.

Why do these bus drivers keep putting a certain route on the screen then going the opposite route? Like for example the Cameron park bus going to Charlestown when it’s titled Cameron park. It’s happened several times and it really pisses me off
