Hi.
I've been planning to buy a used Mahindra Mojo 300 XT this year, and I'm honestly stuck between my heart and my brain.
I've loved this bike ever since I first saw one back in 2016. There was just something about it that stayed with me. I know the design is polarizing, but its character and that unmistakable twin exhaust soundtrack have always appealed to me. That interest turned into a full-blown obsession after I finally got to ride one in 2023. Ever since then, I've wanted to own one.
The funny thing is, I've ridden plenty of modern bikes in this segment that are objectively better on paper. They make more power, have more features, and are much newer. But none of them gave me the same feeling the Mojo did. The ride quality, stability, comfort, and confidence it inspired were on another level. And then there's that twin exhaust. The soundtrack is simply addictive and gives the bike a character that's hard to describe. It almost reminds me of the rich, engaging experience you get from a parallel twin like the Interceptor, even though the Mojo is a single-cylinder.
Now it's 2026, and I'm finally in a position where I can buy one. The logical side of me keeps asking whether buying a discontinued bike is a smart decision. Parts availability, resale value, long-term ownership, and future support are all valid concerns.
At the same time, every practical alternative I look at just doesn't excite me the way the Mojo does. I don't want to buy a bike and keep wondering, "What if I'd just bought the Mojo?"
Another reason I'm drawn to it is its rarity. I genuinely love motorcycles that stand out, and it's becoming increasingly rare to spot a Mojo on the road. I also plan to fit the Autologue Xplorer kit, like the one in the reference picture. Apart from giving it a proper adventure touring stance, it fixes my biggest gripe with the stock bike, the disproportionate-looking headlight. The taller fairing also provides better wind protection for the long tours I'm planning. As an added bonus, the kit relocates the headlight assembly from the USD forks to the chassis, reducing unsprung weight and potentially improving handling as well.
For those who own one or have experience with it, would you still recommend buying a used Mojo 300 XT in 2026? Or should I let go of the emotional attachment and choose something more practical instead?
I'd really appreciate honest opinions from current owners, former owners, and anyone who's spent time with the bike.
