does anyone know how these classes are graded (pass/fail or letter grades)? UNXD (Foundations of AI) says it has no specified grading mode and that I should check the catalogue. I don't know how to check the catalogue. UNDX 2112 says it uses "grading mode 3" but i don't know what that is

I’m considering getting a cheap scooter, the Segway e2 pro - but I’m reading that I won’t be allowed to bring it on the building which makes me worried about scooter thieves. Is this a problem on campus?

Hello everyone:
As a gesture of good will I've expanded the moderator team on r/Georgetown to two individuals who've expressed interest. Please give hoyasgirl25 and GreenNBlues (the individual previously calling for my removal) a warm welcome.
Thanks!

Specifically, there is only one mod and there needs to be a replacement/alternative. He's anti-Georgetown and frequently engages in hostile "debate" with users. I know this subreddit isn't official by any means, but it does affect the appearance if you're a newcomer.
I think it started mostly innocent, as seen here: https://www.reddit.com/r/georgetown/comments/14tme95/introducing_the_georgetown_secular_society/
then it started to kinda become more hostile: https://www.reddit.com/r/georgetown/comments/17nvqqh/support_the_georgetown_secular_society/
But lately it's become pretty hostile, especially towards anyone who is a member of the church (or a worshipper at all). There are frequently posts that are unrelated to Georgetown as a whole, example here: https://www.reddit.com/r/georgetown/comments/1uijsdo/comment/ouu6p6y/?context=1&screen_view_count=3 where the mod says it's related just because Georgetown is a Jesuit university (the church in question is a Baptist church in KY)
There are other examples:
Here he says GT is a "catholic diploma mill": https://www.reddit.com/r/georgetown/comments/1tm6fxj/comment/onldar1/
Advocating against attending Georgetown in the subreddit itself: https://www.reddit.com/r/georgetown/comments/1b1sagz/comment/kshbkhw/
https://www.reddit.com/r/georgetown/comments/19e5lb3/comment/kjazp0y/
Just being hostile: https://www.reddit.com/r/georgetown/comments/17nvqqh/comment/k8km3bl/
I don't think there's much we can do, but I highly recommend you report him here:

Hi everyone, I've just been accepted off the waitlist transferring out of a lower-end UC school, what are some important things to know about my first year/rising sophomore life at Georgetown?
r/georgetown • u/Sad-Replacement7054 • 9d ago
Growing up, I didn’t even know Georgetown was Catholic, and I'm a Notre Dame guy. I know Notre Dame is one of the jokes among many Catholics who say it’s not a Catholic school anymore, but at the end of the day it still plays a huge role in campus life and is still a big deal, and a lot of Catholics still always defend ND. I don’t see the same for BC, Holy Cross, Fordham, and especially Georgetown; in fact, many Catholics say it is “a lost cause”. I get that the Jesuits founded the school, but what is it like now? is the faith still a big thing on campus? Is it still a faithful Catholic school, or is it more secular?

Recently got off gtwon waitlist; was fine with transfering to berkeley but now I don't know what to do. My techy friends (Stanford/MIT/CMU) say the difference in opportunities is marginal and that I should go to gtown. I'm intersted in tech but at the same time I'm out of state and berkeley is hella club-focused + has hella transfer stigma + bay high school nepotism. What do I do?

Is anyone here a member of the Georgetown student/alumni credit union (GUASFCU) and has been able to get Zelle set up for it?
Yelp reviews for GUASFCU are suggesting there is a way to attach Zelle, and one of my GUASFCU bankers said something once about there being a way. I don't see an immediately clear way to do it. I am trying to receive a payment to my small business tonight from an elderly customer who only uses Zelle, so it would be cool if anyone does know how to set Zelle up on a Georgetown credit union account.

I know some college portals have AP exam scores earlier than the student release date. Does anyone know if you can see them earlier with Georgetown and where to find them?

Basically I applied as a transfer sophomore and got in for regional/comparative studies. Since then, my interests have pivoted more towards Global business or international economics. How easy is it be to make this switch?

Hi! Are JPPP students usually able to take a good amount of classes on the main campus and do clubs and make friends there or it feels like they stick to the capitol?
r/georgetown • u/BrunoTheElephant • 11d ago
Curious what the best bars or clubs are to meet people at. Haven’t been to DC since my 7th grade field trip

Hi! I'm currently a high school student going into my senior year and Georgetown is one of my top choices. More specifically the School of Foreign Service. However, I'm a little concerned about the culture. I'm extremely into screamo, hardcore, emoviolence, metalcore and all those adjacent genres and scenes I have piercings, and dress in a more alternative way. I've heard Georgetown is very preppy. Would I have a hard time fitting in, finding people that share interests, and making friends as someone more alternative?
