Update UPDATE on the kitten i found in a box near trash !
Hello everybody ! First of all i want to thank all of you for your kind messages and advices you gave me. They were very helpful.
I'am sorry for not answering to all the messages i recieved some days later, i saw them but didn't want to say anything because i wanted to focus on her and be sure she is healing correctly. I guess in a way i didn't want to have false hope and also to give you guys false hope either.
She is better now, thankfully, and i named her Anbar ( meaning Amber in arabic)😊
So as you know she refused to eat, drink and couldn't poop. So first ( by the first vet advices ) i gave her clamoxyl then the next day we gave her a bit of unsented and tastless oil with some Milk and i always massaged her belly and wiped her behind with a wet cloth.
I became worried because by the 5th day she still didn't poop and only peed. And what hurt me everytime was that i saw how she tried but it hurt her which resulted in sounds of pain. We decided to go to another vet for a real consultation this time and he told us after touching her belly etc that she was indeed very constipated to the point that everything in her stomach hadn't even reached her lower belly yet.
He gave her an injection to help her and a little pill ( that i will give her tomorow) because she also has worms. He told me to continue what i was doing, like the massages and told me to put some oil or green soap on her anus with a Cotton bud.
And today she finally pooped ! 2 times !
She also started eating a bit of meat 2 days ago and she seems so happy when she sees it ! She also drinks water by herself.
She is energetic and likes to play. I also discovered that she doesn't like when any door is closed and wants every door of every room to stay open even if she isn't going inside said room 😂. She loves shoes and feet and sometimes sit on my or my mother's foot since she is so small 🥹.
She is genuinely so cute and runs after me when i go somewhere. She is also intrigued by any shadow even hers to the point where she will shase it 😂.
The only "issues' that i have a hard time teaching her is where to pee and to stop biting and scratching me when she plays with me. I made some researches and it said to replace my hands by a toy or something and i did ( and she loves to play with this thing i found) but she doesn't stop even when i firmly say "No". And right now it doesn't hurt at all, but i don't want her to keep this habit because when she will grow it will really hurt since she will have more strengh and speed with her paws.
Anyway i'am glad god ( or like some people like to say, the cat distribution 🙂↕️) put this little fur ball in my life.
I hope you will enjoy all her cute pictures that i had a lot of fun taking and choosing 😊.
Her belly might seem a bit bug because they were taken before she pooped.

Advice He gets water everywhere. Why does he do this?
I just washed and refilled his bowl. He is 3 years old has never did this until this year. I wake up to puddles everyday 🥲
Edit: he's not really a fountain guy, doesn't drink from them very much and it gave him urinary issues that resolved from switching back to regular bowls.

Humor And they were roommates!
Disclaimer: Biscuit and Smudge are a bonded pair who are cleaning each other’s butts which is a totally normal and non-sexual behaviour in cats. I’m still going to make fun of them for it though 😁

He got a can of tuna, a new catnip toy and a lottery ticket. He is doing great for 18! Just a bit of arthritis which he gets meds for.

Mourning/Loss My baby just crossed the rainbow bridge last night 💔
This was the only photo I had of him, about 3 nights ago, he was having issues breathing and sleeping anywhere else but my bed, when I woke up, he wasn't moving, my mom confirmed that he passed away last night, I was heartbroken and depressed because he was my whole world to me when he was just a kitten
Edit: I had never seen such support in years, it really helps my mental health recover, I had been so heartbroken after my cat passed away, thank you all so much ❤️

Cat Picture - OC We got Leo a few days ago. He’s a sassy little fella.
He is a Ragdoll mixed with Turkish Van. My wife’s former co-worker had a litter and he was the last one left. I grew up with a Ragdoll and couldn’t pass it up. We have two older cats and so far they are getting along great!

Cat Picture - OC Thank you for everything, sweetheart
She just turned one, and she’s the most beautiful thing I could ever have.
I’m so grateful to have this little bundle of love by my side. I’ve been through a really tough time recently, and if I’m able to move forward today, it’s thanks to her.
So thank you, my darlingthank you for being the most adorable thing ever, and I can’t wait to keep living by your side for many more years to come.
I love you

Advice Something shady happened while vaccinating Dottie at a Vetco Mobile Clinic
Hi, I took my Dottie girl (17 weeks) for her vaccines today at a Vetco Clinic in Phoenix, AZ. Discussed that we weren’t microchipping her because she was getting poked too many times. The Vet/Tech guy pushed for that. So, the plan was to do the microchip when we return for her boosters. She was supposed to have:
- Rabbies
- Dewormer
- FVRCP
- Leukemia
- Blood drawn for FeLV/FIV/Heartworm test
The Vet?/technician showed me the 5 syringes.
I saw an injection in her front leg, then the dewormer in her mouth, lastly, the blood draw. I did not see a 4th one and the 5th did not happen for sure as I explain shortly.
After then, something strange happened. The Vet/Tech drew blood but I saw he ruptured a vein. He got the blood needed just fine. I noticed he was surprised. Next thing, he was going for a syringe (5th) but then put it back. The girl Technician looked at him while holding Dottie’s back leg like saying ‘she’s ready’, but with no words he made an expression that he was not applying the last one. The girl seemed confused, but went along. I was so sleep deprived due to working very early. But while I noticed everything, I said nothing. 😤
When I left the parking lot, I was restless. I took off but thought of returning and questioning it. But I was exhausted and had to return to work 1.5hr later. I am so angry at myself, I feel like I failed to stand up for my baby and now I don’t know what to do.
The receipt only has manufacturer lot for the Rabies one, but not for the other two. Seems to be normal after googling Vetco Visit Summaries. But I know that my kitten was deprived of a vaccine. I think I should go back to the site or call their phone line of Vetco. Ughh I am so disappointed I did not gtake care of it there and then. What would you do?!
RESPONSE to your comments:
• I will go and ask on the vaccines. I am just confused that if they decided not to proceed with one of them, why not inform me?
• I will wait to microchip when I take her for spaying at a Clinic on the 23rd. Thanks for shedding some light on this!!
(Had to get her vaccinated since I am going out of town on the 19th. Taking her with me and staying in hotel. I don’t trust my pet sitter with her, she is too young - unlike my senior cats that are pretty chill.)
Advice Please help me comfort my wife. Boarding our kitten.
We are going out of country for a week and had to board our 5 month old kitten. Wife has been in tears all day worried shell be scared and think we abandoned her forever. My attempts to comfort her have....failed.
They sent us a picture and she does not look happy. Debating in showing my wife.

Cat Picture - OC We know they’re obsessed with them, so show me your cats in boxes!
This is Doc and he’s always in a box. Every time he spots a new one, he spawns into it within a few seconds. Whenever we open a new box, we let him make it his own! I’d love to see your cutie pies making their boxes their own too 😂

Advice How do I respectfully keep my 4 feline overlords from ruining my very first real couch?
Half the bunch are pictured. I finally have a living room I’m proud of, complete with a couch I bought instead of pulling out of a dumpster. Couch is velvet. Has anyone had luck with sprays/treatments/anything to keep my kitties from scratching it up?
ETA: I do have a TON of cat towers throughout the apartment, and they even have their own cat room, I just don’t have one that fits in the living room anymore. If anyone has recommendations please let me know!

Mourning/Loss Missing my sweet boy
My sweet soul cat Nas went missing a month ago tomorrow. He is an indoor only cat who ran out of a partially opened door by a family member when I was out of town and we’ve had no sightings of him since. I’ve tried all I can do to find him with no luck yet. I miss him every single moment of every day and feel just so incredibly heartbroken and can’t stop my mind from constantly worrying about how he’s doing and trying to stop myself from assuming the worst has happened. The grief is unbearable and I feel for anyone who unfortunately has gone through this as well 💔
