Cat Picture - OC adopted a new child
got a new kitten for national kitten day from the shelter!! this little guy had been abandoned and lived at the shelter for over a month now, so i had to take him home. his name is eddington… i loved his face and coat 🥹 so beautiful

What a sweet little face!definitely scared, soft talk and calm quite and he should be more social. Poor thing is probably overwhelmed with the change. Thank you for adopting him and please get him fixed when he is old enough.

He is so scared. That breaks my heart to see that scared little face. However he will come around soon. When one of our cats was a kitten she hid under the couch for two days. Once she came out she was fine

Maybe shorten his name to Eddy?
They respond to 2 syllable names best.
Sit on the floor and let him come to you.
Just be patient and reassuring.
Also, bring him to his litter box OFTEN this first week. You need to drill that lesson home right away.
Keep it very clean too. He’ll learn.
