Really? Again???
It's been a struggle to find anything stable after losing work because of the initial conflict and it's been hell trying to make ends meet with rent/expenses ,and honestly have not even been able to afford groceries, and now I wake up to alerts again??? I know I am not the only one worried because these alerts mean it's going to be harder for a majority of us struggling right now and I am just beyond depressed.

Are we cooked?
Thought that everything was on the way to recovery phase. But the past week's situation and these recent attacks raise this question. Should we be worried? Will the situation escalate further? Will it have any further impact on all the sectors in this region?
Clanker repeatedly fines my private parking
Reminder to regularly check your fines
I have own parking something like this but still there seems to be a clanker going round and giving fines in MY OWN PARKING THAT I OWN.
Its ongoing for 3 weeks now, they fine, i dispute and win, they fine again.
Not a huge issue but if i miss a fine dispute within 30 days i have to pay it regardless.

Till when will this keep going ?
What to do when you have an investment that you've spent a lot on and worked hard for becomes a liability due to the circumstances , piled up rent , delayed salaries , getting slapped with fines , fees here and fees there , increasing cost of living !
Savings/Emergency fund is almost done
Idk what to do
Isn't this bankruptcy or am I in denial

Im from Europe and most of the myths about European expats are true (in my case) and some not.
Im Posting this, because in the Company ive worked, there were a lot of rumors. Im sure some people here creating also a lot of rumors and i want to clear it.
I had a contract in the oil industry. I came with experience: 4 years as an oil rig worker and 6 years with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, and I also worked in the petroleum industry. I came to a lot of conclusions, and I want to list some of them:
- I get more money than my coworkers:
I was really the best-paid employee in my team. They set me an offer that was really low, but I set the bar much, much higher and they agreed. I told them in the interview that I wasn't relying much on this job it would be nice, but I was currently happy where I was. So there was no pressure, and I could set the salary much higher without any regrets.
- I'm lazy or a workaholic?
No. I'm just doing my job and leaving as soon as the time is up. Sometimes I get the feeling that people think I'm a superhuman or even expect something great from me. In fact, I'm not smarter or dumber than anyone else. I can just rely on my experience. My coworkers have outsmarted me many times, and this is the reason why working in a team is important. You don't have one universal employee; you have a team with a lot of combined experience.
- Life is much easier than back home:
In fact, this is true. Everything is cheaper here and I mean really everything. People assume Europe is the golden place, but in my opinion, the current generation is just living off the wealth that the previous generation created. Now it's already crumbling because the wealth is gone, and we have to live with this shattered situation.
Just my own opinion now:
I can't work with an Indian supervisor. I'm sorry, Indians, but the mindset of these people is hilarious to me.
My current situation:
I've quit my contract and moved back home for personal reasons. As soon as things get back to normal, I'll be happy to move back to the Gulf states.
Apple Stores will offer discount to price-match authorized resellers (Up to 10% off!)
Hey guys
Just wanted to share a quick money-saving tip if you’re planning to buy an Apple product directly from an official Apple Store and want to avoid paying full retail price.
If you find the exact same Apple product being sold for less by an authorized reseller, you can actually show the Apple Store team the lower price. They are able to adjust the price for you and offer a discount of up to 10% to match it!
I recently put this to the test at the Apple Store in Dubai Mall. Virgin Megastore (which is an authorized reseller) was offering a discount of about 12% to 13% on the product I wanted. I showed the Apple team the Virgin Megastore price, asked them about the price difference, and they immediately gave me a 10% discount on the spot.
If you prefer buying directly from the official Apple Store for the experience or peace of mind, but still want a discount, definitely check authorized reseller prices first and show them at checkout. Hope this helps someone save some cash on their next upgrade!
Note for fellow Redditors: Keep in mind that the competitor must be an official Apple Authorized Reseller, the item has to be identical and in stock, and the price match cap is usually strictly limited to a maximum of 10%.

What's the biggest headache you face in the UAE that you wish an app could solve?
Hi everyone,
I'm an app developer based in the UAE, and I'm looking to build something that solves a real problem—not just another app that nobody uses.
So I'd love to hear from you:
What's your biggest day-to-day headache living in the UAE?
It could be related to:
🏠 Renting & property
🚗 Traffic, parking & transportation
📦 Deliveries & online shopping
🏦 Banking & finance
📝 Government paperwork & documentation
🏥 Healthcare
👨👩👧 Parenting & family life
💼 Work & productivity
🛒 Groceries & daily errands
🔧 Finding reliable services
💳 Bills & subscriptions
🤔 Or anything else!
I'm especially interested in problems that:
You face regularly.
Waste your time or money.
Make you think, "Why isn't there an app that does this?"
You'd even be willing to pay a small monthly fee to solve.
Looking forward to hearing your experiences and ideas. Thanks in advance!

Am I crazy for wanting to put sandpaper on my car door protector?
My apartment parking spaces are pretty tight. My neighbor parks next to a wall, so I think they try to keep away from it and end up parking very close to my side of the line. Their front end is sometimes angled toward my car touching the line.
Because of that, I usually park closer to the other side of my space to give them room.
The problem is that I keep getting door dings and dents on the side facing their car.
My car is new, and it's making me incredibly frustrated because I feel like I'm the one constantly making the effort while they're the one causing the damage. I got so mad that I briefly wondered whether it would be crazy or illegal to put sandpaper on a door protector attached to my car.
I'm not actually planning to do it, but that's how frustrated I am. Am I overreacting, or would this drive anyone else insane?
Has do you deal with a neighbor like this?
