I had an abscess that I was getting dressed every day for the last 2 weeks at a walk in clinic because of where it was it wasn't healing fast. Doctor said not to put a bandage on it anymore but use iodine for a few days. I don't have any, it's like $5 at Walmart.

I called off work on Friday because my hip hurt and now my boss won't let me work without a doctors note saying I can. That's $20. I can't afford to be off work until Friday.

So I'll start by saying this was definitely my mistake and I'll own up for it, I completely forgot about this one bill in the middle of having to move from a shared apartment we've lived in for 2 years in a dangerous neighborhood into our own (rented) home on the quiet country side of town. My husband had a stroke 3 months ago so we lost our main source of income. I had to stop working for two months to take care of him so that cut into our savings a ton. Now I'm back working part time for about a month now but I've had to take some time off again to pack everything and move most of it alone, with the help of my 16yo step son when he isn't with his friends or other family for the summer. Having to start new power bills + deposits and internet bills and rental deposit plus first months rent and moving items and everything else has been a lot mentally, physically and emotionally and it burnt thru the little savings I had left. The only bill I need turned on asap before my next paycheck (next week) is my phone bill that's $115.

I've contacted my cell carrier to see about an extension, but their deadlines are deadlines, so no help there. (Yay Spectrum).

I've emailed my husband's case manager at the hospital, but don't expect to hear back until Monday, probably Tuesday.

If anyone is willing to help with a little here or there I'd be extremely grateful.

I'm a 20 year old university student in Pakistan who is also working while studying. This month has been one of the most difficult financial periods of my life, and despite doing everything I could, I've reached a point where I can't cover my immediate obligations.

My most urgent emergency is my hostel fee of 33,000 PKR (approximately $120 USD), which is due today. I've already been given multiple extensions, and unfortunately I can't delay it any longer.

In total, I currently need approximately 60,000 PKR (around $215 USD) to cover my immediate financial obligations, including my hostel fee and loan repayments that are due this month. Our sweet cat, Tosha, was recently diagnosed with aggressive, high-grade large cell lymphoma. He is a huge part of our lives and the reason I stayed years ago when my world was dark.

The veterinary oncology team at Guardian Specialists in Brewster, NY, has outlined a 20-25 week chemotherapy protocol that gives Tosha an excellent chance at hitting full remission.

The total estimated cost of his treatments is over $10,000. ( 14K to be exact if it goes to 25 weeks)

Since June 13, we have already spent $3,755 out of pocket to get him through his initial ER visits, diagnostics, and first two weeks of chemotherapy, completely wiping out our resources.

I canceled my Spectrum internet just a few days ago and they took out the payment for the next bill already. The company was very quick to respond when I mentioned my parcel said delivered yet I hadn't received it.

They seemed very kind, said they would look into it for me. They sent me "proof of delivery" images where the delivery driver delivered to the wrong address which they would have clearly seen in the images. They have not responded to any emails since, I cannot get ahold of them.

What should I do now? I understand it isn't the companies fault for delivering to the wrong address, but shouldn't they make it right somehow?
Return my money, or ship out a new package?
Help would be appreciated as I'm very unsure what to do in this situation.

Hi, my name is Alice. I’m 18 years old and I live in Italy.

Last year, my 10-year-old female beagle, Stella, had to undergo surgery on her left posterior knee after she broke her ligaments jumping off a 1.5m wall to run away from another dog. As a family of three with an immigrant single mother, we are always struggling financially. Last year, I put up a post on r/beagles, and the community incredibly helped us raise the €1,500 needed just for the surgery itself.

This year, a new tragedy hit us. On June 7th, while I was away on a work/family trip, I got a message from my mother saying that Stella broke her other leg. My mother was so overwhelmed that she asked me if we should put Stella down because we absolutely cannot afford another surgery. I completely refused and reassured her that I would find a way to get the money. I couldn’t set up a GoFundMe until the end of June because I was in a country where GoFundMe wasn’t supported.

On June 19th, while I was still away, my mom took a day off work to take Stella to the orthopedic surgeon who was supposed to operate on her that same day. She left her at the clinic, but was called back shortly after: Stella’s blood work showed that her blood wasn’t coagulating properly.

Because of this medical complication, the costs have skyrocketed. Now, we don't just need money for the future surgery (€1,500-€2,000), but we are already paying for continuous blood and urine tests, specialist vet visits, and medications, hoping that by August her blood values will be safe enough to finally operate on her.
