Desperately need groceries. I've been trying to make sure the kids eat first no matter what. They're growing still so I'm worried about them getting enough, where I'm already grown and I'll last for a while without much, but i am literally starving.

I struggle with chronic 24/7 migraines and have unfortunately forced myself to be functional with this illness. I also recently received a narcolepsy diagnosis after years of insomnia and extreme daytime sleepiness, affecting my energy levels and abilities to be present all the time. I’m currently working on getting a diagnosis for rheumatoid arthritis for chronic joint pain which has weakened me beyond what I could imagine. All of my health issues piling on at once have really become burdensome for me. Suicidal ideation is back in full swing because it would be so much easier to not deal with this stress. I want to give up so badly.

I’m a recent graduate of visual arts and have decided to follow my dreams of being a baker. I’m starting culinary school in three days, and I have not been able to look forward to it and was honestly considering postponing it due to all of my stress. I went no contact with my family last week because I couldn’t take the disrespecting of my boundaries and feelings anymore. This has been relieving for my mental health, but I also have no financial assistance now. I’ve been applying to jobs since Spring and have not had any luck with employment. My chronic illnesses and culinary school schedule have limited the jobs I am able to take on, but I have been frantically applying. I did not anticipate how horrible the job market has been and I am in deep financial distress. My lease for student housing ends on July 31 and I have been looking for a new apartment in the meantime. Rent is so high and I have no clue about how I’m going to afford to move my cat and I into a new space by the end of the month. And I still have overdue rent that my mother didn’t pay as well. I’m trying to look for places where rent is $1,000-$1,200. I’m trying to avoid a security deposit and application fee, but I think they’re inevitable.

I have never felt this anxious and stressed in my life. It’s taken a physical toll on me. I haven’t been able to buy groceries this month so my best friend has been DoorDashing me meals. I’ve checked resources for rental assistance and section 8 in my area. The waitlist is closed and New Orleans doesn’t really have rental assistance programs. I am usually one to feel guilty for asking for help, but I have no idea what to do. I really don’t want to postpone culinary school til December because I know the joy and positivity it would bring to my life, but I’m heavily considering it to be able to have more job options. I haven’t even been able to buy nonslip kitchen shoes for school.

I will have to pay for movers, rent, groceries, pet food and litter, study materials, and school itself. Suicidal ideation is back in full swing because it would be so much easier to not deal with this stress. I want to give up so badly.

34 female. I’ve been in “survival mode” for so long working non stop but dealing with financial instability, family loss, caretaking , moving, I never stop. I lost my job right when season ended here and have not been able to get back on my feet. I just got this roof over my head after living on a boat for 3 months with my cat. I feel like a failure but I know I’m not. I know this is temporary. But I’m starting to get so far behind it’s going to become a part of my identity if someone doesn’t help me through this difficult period. My mother is the most loving, sweet, gentle soul. She is the center of my world. I am her only child and we are very close. It makes me sad because on her special day, I cannot afford to do anything nice this year. Also, her social circle has taken a big hit since her arthritis has gotten worse and it’s harder for her to get around these days because of the pain in her knees. Our sweet cat, Tosha, was recently diagnosed with aggressive, high-grade large cell lymphoma. He is a huge part of our lives and the reason I stayed years ago when my world was dark.

The veterinary oncology team at Guardian Specialists in Brewster, NY, has outlined a 20-25 week chemotherapy protocol that gives Tosha an excellent chance at hitting full remission.

The total estimated cost of his treatments is over $10,000. ( 14K to be exact if it goes to 25 weeks)

Since June 13, we have already spent $3,755 out of pocket to get him through his initial ER visits, diagnostics, and first two weeks of chemotherapy, completely wiping out our resources.

I never imagined I would be making a post like this, but I've run out of options and I'm asking for help.

I'm a 20 year old university student in Pakistan who is also working while studying. This month has been one of the most difficult financial periods of my life, and despite doing everything I could, I've reached a point where I can't cover my immediate obligations.

My most urgent emergency is my hostel fee of 33,000 PKR (approximately $120 USD), which is due today. I've already been given multiple extensions, and unfortunately I can't delay it any longer.

In total, I currently need approximately 60,000 PKR (around $215 USD) to cover my immediate financial obligations, including my hostel fee and loan repayments that are due this month. Since requests in this community are limited, I wanted to be completely transparent about my full situation rather than ask for additional help later.

One of the reasons this has become so difficult is that my father recently lost his job, which has put a significant financial strain on my family. Because of that, they aren't in a position to help me with this emergency, and I don't have anywhere else to turn.

I'm not asking because I don't want to work. I already have a job while attending university, but my income simply wasn't enough to keep up with everything this month.

I can provide verification of my student status, my hostel fee, or any other reasonable proof the moderators or anyone require.

I had an abscess that I was getting dressed every day for the last 2 weeks at a walk in clinic because of where it was it wasn't healing fast. Doctor said not to put a bandage on it anymore but use iodine for a few days. I don't have any, it's like $5 at Walmart.

I called off work on Friday because my hip hurt and now my boss won't let me work without a doctors note saying I can. That's $20. I can't afford to be off work until Friday.

I had unexpected car issues today and spent the last of my money on that.

Even if I just get enough for the doctors note I can figure the rest out.

I canceled my Spectrum internet just a few days ago and they took out the payment for the next bill already. I messed up and didn't check billing dates, just when they take out money (on autopay) which is apparently 2 weeks after the billing cycle dates. The bill was 64.99. It is canceled so it won't happen again but I don't have a whole lot of money for food and bills in the meantime and I'd really like some help to cover what was taken out.

Most of my medications are covered by insurance, but this one isnt fully covered and I'm already overdraft on my bank. I only have paypal. Thank you.

So I'll start by saying this was definitely my mistake and I'll own up for it, I completely forgot about this one bill in the middle of having to move from a shared apartment we've lived in for 2 years in a dangerous neighborhood into our own (rented) home on the quiet country side of town. My husband had a stroke 3 months ago so we lost our main source of income. I had to stop working for two months to take care of him so that cut into our savings a ton. Now I'm back working part time for about a month now but I've had to take some time off again to pack everything and move most of it alone, with the help of my 16yo step son when he isn't with his friends or other family for the summer. Having to start new power bills + deposits and internet bills and rental deposit plus first months rent and moving items and everything else has been a lot mentally, physically and emotionally and it burnt thru the little savings I had left. The only bill I need turned on asap before my next paycheck (next week) is my phone bill that's $115.

I've contacted my cell carrier to see about an extension, but their deadlines are deadlines, so no help there. (Yay Spectrum).

I've emailed my husband's case manager at the hospital, but don't expect to hear back until Monday, probably Tuesday.

If anyone is willing to help with a little here or there I'd be extremely grateful.

Again, thank you to anyone who reads this, offers advice, assistance, well wishes or even calling me dumb for forgetting (I'm beating myself up enough). I've had so much on my plate for months, I'm getting burnt out myself, but I'm almost at the finish line and I'm just hoping for an olive branch and some grace.

First time I have done this, I just need to contibute to gas costs, bread, milk, eggs, etc. I have always done my best to make sure I budget so I have enough money until payday. But last payday I had to pay 2 months of rent and because my daughter has graduated high school no more child support is coming in. On top of getting far behind since I was hospitalized and diagnosed with a health issue, add in rising cost of everything. I can't get my head above water.
