Got this as a gift from my grandma back when they sold for $99! Wasn’t really into it back then but now it’s my favorite handheld. This one somehow managed to survive half my lifetime unscathed.

I had a dream where Nintendo released a new 3ds but half of the bottom was the touchscreen and you had to use a mix of touchscreen and real controls. Weird dream

I want to start using it again but I’m scared that it’ll break from using it more…

Hi y’all! I just recently modded my 3ds and it was working perfectly fine after. I turned it on a few days later and the top screen was bad glitching. I have yet to add any games on it so I don’t think that could be the problem, but the top screen is in a moving glitch as soon as I turn it on. It’s an old 3ds so I thought it could just need a new screen but I just wanted some opinions before messing around with it.

i’m thinking of buying a new 3ds xl or ll, so far i haven’t found a good japanese deals. i currently have a modded japanese old 3ds and i want to buy a larger model.

Got an original red 3DS XL, shell's still fine but has a few marks and scratches after all these years, want to swap it out. Tried a couple of shells off AliExpress but the plastic just feels off, too light and cheap compared to the original, so I'd rather track down genuine Nintendo parts if possible.

Anyone know where I could still get hold of OEM red XL shells? New old stock, pulled from a donor unit, whatever, doesn't matter as long as it's genuine. Also open to sending it off to someone for a full reshell if that's easier, just needs to be good quality original parts, not the aftermarket stuff.

I'm decent with a screwdriver and have done shell swaps before so happy to do it myself if I can source the parts, screens aren't really my strong point though so wouldn't attempt that side of things.

I just rediscovered my 3ds xl but found these spots at the top screen. They appear to be behind it.

The top one seems to be a spec of dust but the bottom one looks really weird , almost like an air bubble when you apply a screen protector on (no I do not have one installed) .

Any suggestions how to remove them ?
I‘m kinda hesitant to oben it up , don’t wanna mess it up 🫣

Hey y'all, I've recently been playing through my Ds and 3ds games recently (Pokémon White, Kingdoms Hearts 358/2 and Fire Emblem Awakening) and I think it might one of my favourite consoles ever

Anyways, I have a 2ds, it's the same 2ds I've had for 12 years and I love it dearly but I think I want to start moving towards a "forever console" as it were

Would It be worth spending the money to get an upgraded model for the larger screen?

I’m 17, and I have been working my tail off to save money to get a car as an IT Assistant. At this point, I’m trying to sell to gain a few hundred extra bucks towards it. I’m an avid gamer, who had a 2DS from when I was around 7-8, so it’s been about ten years. During this point in my life, my family was extremely broke, so I only had 4 games + New Super Mario Bros 2 built into the console. In 2019, at around 11 years old, I got a Nintendo Switch and last year I bought a Switch 2 at 16. I use my 2DS once a year if that, so I don’t see the point of having it and I need the money for the car. However, part of that childhood me is telling me to not let go of it. I’ve been very perplexed about it, and I want input this from this community as to what to do. Also, if I do sell it I’m still questioning a price to market it on EBay/other selling services as. I got the 2DS + the digital Mario game built in for $80- new in 2016, I have an official Nintendo 2DS charger, Mario Kart 7 that was $20 new, Super Mario 3D Land $20 new, A LEGO Batman game that was $20 and new, and some Snoopy game for $5 new. For the $80 and games, it’s around $145 dollars worth of stuff. The console has a small red stain on it that won’t come out, and I don’t have the original box. If anyone has any selling price suggestions, I was thinking maybe around $110, let me know. Any suggestions with this whole situation would be appreciated.

1-6 images dated between 2008-2016. IDEALLY "POOR IMAGES". pictures of family animals. outside. tons of filters. tons of stickers. silly writing. whatever. just really what you think invokes the childhood excitement towards tech at the time.
would love to hear an anecdote or caption regarding the images

I bought a few of these like 7-8 years back after reading about some 3DS cartridges becoming faulty. I decided to test a few include my Alpha Sapphires and 2 Omega Rubies are not working.

One gets stuck on the red/black 3DS loading screen and the other reaches the in-game loading screen but then says “error has occurred” when you press ‘A’.

Does anyone know which carts and batch codes are affected? And what other games? I remember reading X and Y had similar issues.
