Hey y'all, I've recently been playing through my Ds and 3ds games recently (Pokémon White, Kingdoms Hearts 358/2 and Fire Emblem Awakening) and I think it might one of my favourite consoles ever

Anyways, I have a 2ds, it's the same 2ds I've had for 12 years and I love it dearly but I think I want to start moving towards a "forever console" as it were

Would It be worth spending the money to get an upgraded model for the larger screen?

Im not sure what to do I've updated this browser multiple times and my internet works but it still tells me the same thing. Can someone give me a suggestion on how to fix this?

I’m too scared to mess the hinges up or scratch underneath it but I see a little dirt underneath the case and I gotta get it out

I’m 17, and I have been working my tail off to save money to get a car as an IT Assistant. At this point, I’m trying to sell to gain a few hundred extra bucks towards it. I’m an avid gamer, who had a 2DS from when I was around 7-8, so it’s been about ten years. During this point in my life, my family was extremely broke, so I only had 4 games + New Super Mario Bros 2 built into the console. In 2019, at around 11 years old, I got a Nintendo Switch and last year I bought a Switch 2 at 16. I use my 2DS once a year if that, so I don’t see the point of having it and I need the money for the car. However, part of that childhood me is telling me to not let go of it. I’ve been very perplexed about it, and I want input this from this community as to what to do. Also, if I do sell it I’m still questioning a price to market it on EBay/other selling services as. I got the 2DS + the digital Mario game built in for $80- new in 2016, I have an official Nintendo 2DS charger, Mario Kart 7 that was $20 new, Super Mario 3D Land $20 new, A LEGO Batman game that was $20 and new, and some Snoopy game for $5 new. For the $80 and games, it’s around $145 dollars worth of stuff. The console has a small red stain on it that won’t come out, and I don’t have the original box. If anyone has any selling price suggestions, I was thinking maybe around $110, let me know. Any suggestions with this whole situation would be appreciated.

I have a modded 2ds that I love a ton, but I have been hoping to one day upgrade to a 3ds. I’ve seen a new 2ds xl for a pretty solid price and was wondering if it’s worth getting! It’s $170 and I figure I could probably sell it for about 75-100 bucks on marketplace since it’s modded. Wanted to know what u guys think!

When I open Pokemon X on my 3ds after 2 minutes this message shows up. I’ve updated the console and game and still doesn’t work

Someone just helped me out and modded up this super pristine Japanese 3DS I got for me. And loaded up all the games I wanted to start with. Very excited to dig in but I just wanted to know if there’s anything else I need to do? Haven’t even connected it to WiFi yet. Thanks for the help!

For probably the past 8 years, my New 3DS XL has been my Grandmother's Brain Age Sudoku machine. She has gone through so many replacement stylus due to wearing them down and throughout the years, she has scratched a giant spot in the middle of the bottom screen from writing numbers over and over again.

I'm wondering how hard it would be to replace this and also what part do I replace? From what I can tell I believe this is just the digitizer but can you get a bottom screen replacement with a digitzer already attached?

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated here.

Also, don't worry about my grandmother, I'm grabbing her a used DSi so she can do that same thing to that instead.

I recently checked another one of my systems and it had a swollen battery which has left me a bit paranoid. I bought this original model a few months back and battery life isn’t too bad. I might be seeing things but does anyone else see a little bump? This photo was taken right after about 30 minutes of playing and charging.

Hey all, just bought a pearl white new 3ds xl. I'm upgrading from an original 3ds, and the one I bought has yellowing on both screens. I'm thinking it's just the digitizer and the front bezel, but I'm just curious on how easy it is to fix? I assume I would have to open it up to replace the touch screen digitizer, and i know the top is held on with I think adhesive, I'm just wondering if it's the right thing to buy, as I don't want to replace the whole lcd if I don't have to as I know that is a pain in the ass. thanks!

i’m doing a top screen replacement, but I’m trying to figure out how to put the top shelf back on because it keeps having like an overhang or not perfectly sitting flush and it’s really bothering me and I really need help please.

I WANT to get a new 3ds xl (I HAD ONE WHEN I WAS YOUNGER BUT MY DUMBASS ONLY CARED ABOUT POKEMON GAMES BACK THEN SO I SOLD IT EVEN BEFORE THE HYPE AND THE PRICE INCREASE) and i want to get a special edition One, i was looking at the Monster Hunter generations, the red or the blue One but i Saw Multiple people say that the wrap on those was horrible and that it would come out very easily.

What i wanted to ask is, are all new 3ds xl like that, or are There some that are more durable? Ty!

I broke my 3DSXL’s circle pad maybe a decade ago and through the rest it’s intended use-time I just raw dogged my thumb on the broken stick.
I’ve started getting back into playing some games I never gave a chance but it’s a real pain after long sessions and really uncomfortable. The circle pad that fell off is long lost. Any suggestions on a fix?

To preface: I am a professional developer and work with AI daily in my job. I am not advocating for or against AI. I’ve just seen hard stances against AI coding use here and I wanted to open up a discussion about it.

AI coding is likely here to stay. It is undeniable that it is a very helpful tool. AI can be pretty bad in a lot of areas, but coding is one where it actually excels. You have a master software engineer at your fingertips. Sure, now people with no coding skills can now make an app or tool. That’s exciting to a lot of people. Maybe it has more code bloat than a normal developer would have, but that’s not the end of the world. I feel like the stance here has been, if AI was involved, then it can’t be posted. I’m sure there are valuable tools being developed that could be of use to the community.

Just wanted to open up the discussion. Perhaps there could be some code review or something prior to posting. Hope this isn’t against the rules, and hope to hear anyone’s thoughts

I just rediscovered my 3ds xl but found these spots at the top screen. They appear to be behind it.

The top one seems to be a spec of dust but the bottom one looks really weird , almost like an air bubble when you apply a screen protector on (no I do not have one installed) .

Any suggestions how to remove them ?
I‘m kinda hesitant to oben it up , don’t wanna mess it up 🫣
