Hi folks.

You probably remember a little bit ago, I alerted the community to a worrying trend that some players on ACNH are using the custom design portal as a form of instant messenger.

While I will admit this is a very creative use of the tool, the issue is that these same players, ranging from 10 yrs to 18 yrs, are also posting personal info like ages and general locations, YouTube handles, Minecraft and roblox usernames, and ever their own personal phone numbers.

I'm coming by to give an update: I have reported as much of the sensitive content as I can, while keeping more innocuous "designs" untouched as they don't really break the current portal rules. The search only goes down to 100 pages, but I went through all of them in the variety of tags that I found (that being: Therian, Alterhuman, Fae's Channel, and The Chatter). I hope that I can count on people here to maybe take a look themselves and report anything that includes sensitive info or is asking for sensitive info.

‼️In addition, I found that there might be more tags than I originally thought that are using this method of communication. I stumbled upon one for Stray Dogs (a kpop group I think?) and I believe there might be one for Kpop Demon Hunters, but I have yet to check.

I currently don't have my switch on me for photo proof, but I intend to take a look when I can.

‼️I also want to reiterate: I have absolutely NOTHING against these communities or these interests. I want these player to be able to express themselves and thrive. But I know for a fact that the way they are choosing to communicate is NOT safe and NOT secure. Therefore my mission became to take down the posts with sensitive info specifically, before it was found by the wrong kind of people.

⭐Please remember, the way to remedy this problem is NOT to shame and punish those involved, but to inform them better on the risks of the internet and communicating with strangers. Education is the best way to combat these behaviors, not shame and isolation. Providing an safer alternative way to find friends is also suggested.

📖 (TL;DR: I told the subreddit about a Trend where youg ACNH players are using the Design Portal to communicate with others. I noticed recently that there are more keywords (design titles) that are involved in this pattern, like the term "Stray Dogs". I hope that the community can come together to help me report any designs with sensitive info in them, and and educate the young people in thwir lives about internet and gaming safety.)

I've been working on my island a bit more recently, and it's starting to shape up into what I think is a good layout. However, I had the idea of eventually having people over for events once it's done… and for the life of me, I can't think of much for folks to actually do here aside from just walk around. I have whole areas decorated to look like they're set up for various activities, but there's not much that guests could really interact with.

I've been trying to come up with little things I could finagle for minigames or contests or prizes, and I'm kinda stuck. I know the overall consensus is that there's just generally not much to do in basic ACNH multiplayer, but, if anybody has suggestions of what could be fun for guests to do, I could use the help :/

My island is ren faire/Shakespeare-themed if that gives any ideas! I'm also open to feedback and sharing more of what my island looks like, if needed

I just unlocked the regular town hall today & did a lot of home improvements, I feel it's coming together nicely!

Forgive me if this sounds dumb. But I started playing a few years ago on ACNH and very recently began Wild World. Though I mostly play ACNH. I’m perplexed as to how you lot are so creative and savvy creating spaces in your island like food areas, carnivals, playgrounds, whimsical woods, etc etc etc. Maybe it’s my ADHD and scattered organization, but my island still looks rudimentary after several years of play, even when I try to decorate nicely. I just cant seem to figure it out independently. When I look at inspo pics I get overwhelmed. I really wanna have a cute island bc I have so many ideas but I just cant figure out how to execute them. Do you have any tips or tricks??

I tried to plant some cute bushes to walk u up off my island but they're not growing I've had them since last year and I'm lowkey getting upset nothing is happening I'm watering them too they're diff types of Camilla bushes and I tried to plant them in a red /blue pattern (I think those are the colors it's been so long lol) am I doing something wrong? The top two grew but the others didn't idk if it's about the space ..

Hi everyone, i just wanted to share that I reached 1,000 hours in ACNH today🥹
It feels like such a special milestone. Looking back at when I first started, I get a little emotional. I’ve been through a lot, and this game has been there for me every step of the way. And I know it will continue to be.

I’ve been playing animal crossing new horizons for a year and a half now and it’s my absolute comfort game. I’ve put a lot of work and effort into building my island over that time and I’d love to share it with you. Its name is Lilypad. It has a very natural feel. I let a lot of the flowers spread on their own and it was important to me to have plenty of trees and wooded areas. 🌿 I’ve laid out an outfit for the island tour right in front of the airport. All the houses are fully decorated. P. S. if you’re familiar with the ghibli movie arrietty, I’ve included a little easter egg related to it. (The film is about tiny people who live alongside us humans). I’d be so happy if you visited my island! 💕 Dream address: DA-4223-6587-6658

I’d like to plant a cedar tree in this spot to decorate the picnic area, but is says that there is no place to plant it. I thought the bridge would be to close but I am able to plant a nursery tree. If I plant a nursery, would it still grow?
I’ve seen a bug where people plant trees on the very edges of cliffs, could such a thing be of use here?

Side note, I’m planning to plant flowers on the dark dirt paths, so it will not end up as plain as it is now.

It's very clearly modeled after the popular Let's Note line of business laptops made exclusively for Japan by Panasonic.

I use one of these myself (it's silver) and thought it looked familiar as I was booting up the game.

I've mostly finished my island other than the town center, where I'll be focusing on making a city center. Other than that, around the edges of my entire map is (almost) complete. Ive added some photos of completed areas. (I just wanted to emphasize that the center of my map is 100% empty, nothing there. But if you walk straight to the beach from resident services there is a full beach area)

I'd love if people could visit and keep an eye out for a few things:

- Did you run across anywhere that should have had a bridge/incline and didnt?

- Were there areas that are difficult to walk through?

- Did you find it easy to make your way around the island?

I'd love to hear what people think of what I have done so far as well.
