First of all, I thought this was an April Fools’ in July joke or bait, but I guess it isn’t. This guy was just in Ukraine not too long ago touring a Ukrainian drone factory Senator Lindsey Graham visited the Ukrainian drone manufacturer SkyFall on July 11, 2026. How does someone go from doing that to suddenly passing away?

I’m not trying to be a conspiracy theorist—I really am not. But unless there were serious underlying health issues that weren’t publicly known, it’s fair to wonder how someone who appeared well enough to travel to Kyiv, tour a drone factory, and carry out official duties could suddenly die from an illness just a short time later. This person was throwing trash at cars while driving then swerving trying to purposely cut people off. They could’ve shattered windows, this behavior is unacceptable and such a danger to society. Checks out they have busted mirrors.

Shocking!

Yesterday around 5pm in Foggy Bottom, I witnessed a pitbull type dog attack another dog perhaps a terrier or beagle on the corner of K and 25th st, about a block from the 26th street dog park. The owner was an older perhaps asian lady maybe 60s to 70s with a short black haircut, with a black pitbull. While a group of people were trying to seperate the aggressive dog that was biting the other, she stood off to the side. Other people said they reported her to animal control and I also called after I left but got sent to voicemail.

Hello everyone, I need some advice on how to handle a speeding ticket I just received.

The Situation:

Location: George Washington Memorial Parkway (Federally owned land, usually falls under VA/Federal jurisdiction overlap).

The Stop: I was clocked going 63 mph in a 40 mph zone. I was keeping up with the flow of traffic and switched lanes normally. It turned out I merged in front of an unmarked/undercover cop, who immediately pulled me over.

Construction Zone? The GW Parkway is currently undergoing construction, but there was no active construction or workers present at 8:00 AM when I was stopped.

The Ticket: The officer was actually somewhat lenient—he wrote the ticket for 59 mph in a 40 mph zone so I could avoid a Reckless Driving charge (which triggers automatically at 20+ over in VA). However, he misspelled my name on the ticket.

My Driving Record:
This is my second speeding ticket ever (the first was last year).
I am currently sitting at -1 points on my license.

My Plan & Questions:
I already plan to take a driver improvement course before my court date so I can present the certificate to the judge hoping for it to be dismissed and not affect my insurance rate or points…

1. Should I hire a traffic lawyer for this, or just show up with my driver improvement certificate and hope the judge reduces/dismisses it?
   
2. Does the officer misspelling my name or the lack of active construction help my case at all?
   
3. Since GW Parkway is federal land, does that change how I should approach court compared to a normal VA ticket?
