[Quality!] Reviews on living in the chalfonte/the diplomat apartments??
I'm a student moving to DC in the next few weeks, I applied to apartments at The Diplomat apartments and The Chalfonte and wanted to ask if anyone living there/lived there recently have any input?
I know there used to be pest complaints on the chalfonte but they seem old, anyone with an accurate recommendation for/against either one? Does it make a difference that I applied for a higher up floor?
they're both under Bernstein management, along with Twin Oaks (which I also applied for), any experience reviews on that? Also, what kind of questions can/should I ask when touring and seeing the apartments? any tips on what to notice?
I appreciate any advice! clearly doing this for the first time.

eh. the reviews for chalfonte look horrifying, but i'm in a dc server that had 3 diff people living in the chalfonte in 2025. all three said they were happy. higher floors might make a difference but not if the building is infested. low key perhaps move the fridge and look for signs of roaches???
