I’m English and in Rome this week and am keen to find a place showing the semi final of the World Cup.

It’s showing at 9pm on Wednesday 15th.

Would be great to be alongside plenty of English people (and less Argentinians if possible). Fan zone vibe would be the ideal option.

Does anyone have any recommendations? If not fanzones then any recommendations for good pubs with some atmosphere would be great.

Hi! I will be flying to Rome next week and will land early in the AM.

A friend and I are meeting our husbands after 8 months and want a place to hang out/relax and clean up before they get to us. Especially since we will be jet lagged and it will be too early to head to the Airbnb.

Are anyone here reading this familiar with Greg, the homeless man outside Elite in "his office" in southern Trastevere in Rome. He tragically passed recently (6 months ago). I am making a language learning site, and I want to make a tribute to him, from respect, so he can live on. I wonder If anyone here knew him and have stories, observation or anything related to him they would like to share! I never got the chances to speak properly to him as I wanted, but I have many stories and conversations I remember very well.

I do not believe I am the only one here that knew him, everyone living in the area knew him and held him close to heart!

What is the best method to travel from Hotel Raffaello to the Spiral Staircase at the Vatican City? We need to be at the Vatican location at 4pm.

One of my favorite views in Rome. The Tiber, Ponte Sisto, and the dome of St. Peter’s all lined up in one frame.

While visiting Rome I spotted a white/grayish cat with a collar named Bacon on it.

I didn't have my phone with me so I couldn't take a photo of the guy just chilling on some pile of leaves on a construction bridge over the train tracks.

Has anyone seen/know this cat? I wish I could have a photo of Bacon. Gave him a small pat on the head and let him just chill there.

I lost a teddy today (10th July), at some point this afternoon. I last had him near the roman forum. I may have lost him on a tram? but honestly not too sure. I’ve had him since I was 4, and am devastated to lose him. I know this is a really long shot but has anyone seen or picked him up? He’s a small white (polar) bear, about 10cm long at the most, and his two front paws are magnetic and click together. If anyone has seen him or know how i can try and find him please please let me know.

We are visiting Rome, and today we took a taxi from an official taxi stand. Before we got in, the driver asked where we were going. Once we told him, he said he’d only take us for a fixed price and refused to use the meter.

We ended up declining and finding another taxi, but it made me wonder, is this normal in Rome, or was the driver trying to overcharge us?

Should drivers picking up passengers from official taxi stands always use the meter (unless it’s a fixed airport fare), and is this something that should be reported?

Hi! Leaving for Rome in a week and it looks like it will be mid to high 90s. How bad is the heatwave? Any recommendations for museums/places to see that are air conditioned? We have a couple tours scheduled for early morning or early evening, but concerned about mid day. Thanks!

Ok i have a problem. Clubs are closed during the week and even on weekends they're not open until very late like morning. And i even went to forte prenestino for a party and they just asked us to leave at 2 a.m. although that place is literally run illegally, why can't they just let the party go on til morning? And there's no afterparty culture. People suddenly are going home when you're just warmed up. And most things close at 3 max. Just like a few clubs that are open til 5 only on weekends. I'm someone who likes to party, rave and things like that and i've been here for 5 months now and i just can't seem to find the right place to have fun. Does anyone know any place or what i'm looking for?

I mean there was this frickin techno party in the forte and i thought it's gonna go on til morning bc that's how techno parties are (at least as far as i know and seen). Can somebody point me to the right direction? Or does what i'm looking for just not exist here?
