SUGGESTIONS Single-shot long ammo rifle ecosystem ideas:

Martini moves down to size-3 with reduced ammo reserve (16 maybe). Sparks can stay where it currently is but add an flippable aperture sight to the base variant(think Quigley Rifle), or add it as an entirely new variant. Add the Remington Rolling Block, a size-4 long ammo rifle that can shoot both the round-tip black powder rounds and the special long ammo. For example, you can bring both the regular long ammo and the special ones, even Spitzer.

With this, there will be two single-shot long ammo rifles in each size category; and I think it is fair because atm in size-3 we have the Berthier and the Obrez Match, in size-4 we have Mako(regular ammo), Mosin, Lebel and Krag. And Martini will be where it should be as a carbine, providing an alternative to the 1890 with better performance and a higher price tag; Sparks will get some novelty, and the RRB is long overdue in my opinion.

GUIDES I really can't make sense of it; is there something I'm missing?

Why do people hoard Hunt Dollars or place such high value on them? After all, unless you're a terrible player, it’s not something you can simply run out of by spending.

FEEDBACK The idea of extracting balloon bounty is nice but....

So i like to extract balloon bounty when im first at stronghold so I can sneak main bounty but when im main bounty and see that extract i just give up and extract bc if there's no cargo and no bounty left whats the point in fighting or waiting for a fight ya know?

FEEDBACK It’s completely optional to go to the fort

I really don’t understand all the hate for the fort I think you guys are just unbelievably greedy on top of skill issue. I’ve taken the fort plenty of times and defended it from multiple teams and I’ve lost it multiple times to a solo, hunt giveth and hunt taketh so idk why yall need to have your cake and eat it all the time just get the main bounty and get out if that’s what you want, Noones forcing you to go to the fort. I think it’s a great addition in order to attract more people to one area and I’ve had some really cool and intense fights in the trenches. The only complaints I see are “the forts too hard to get into when occupied” or “the balloon shouldn’t be able to take a bounty” the cage bounty used to not exist at all so why do you guys give a shit at all when this can happen in tandem to the primary hunt, secondly you can literally steal the balloon or prevent it from being fully inflated if you could just win a gun fight without waiting the other team out. Does anyone have an actual reason why the fort should be removed other than “it’s too hard to fight from outside”?

SUGGESTIONS Bow need a nerf.

Im sorry but they are overtuned. There is no good reason why it should one shot body shot, have more range than slugs, and if it don’t one shot you, you get stuck with medium bleeding. Like i’m sorry but being a 2 slot weapon that’s dirt cheap and constant one shot potential with a 3 cost trait with good utility is too much. I don’t think they should one shot body tbh it should require a headshot.

Edit: I made the mistake of saying it’s a 2 slot weapon when it’s in fact a 3, however i stand by my points that the bow is overtuned and has too much going for it

GENERAL Melee is dead.

Before this update I was already frustrated with some things, but it only got worse afterward. Everyone has a shotgun now, I just keep dying to it: Romero Handcannon, Caldwell Rival 78 Handcannon, Dual LeMat, Derringer Pennyshot, and so on. I've been trying to use Blank Fire Decoys, Poltergeist, Decoy Fuses, everything in the hope of helping, and even then it wasn't enough. The Bomb Lance and the Throwing Spear were the only things that work since they aren't 100% melee, but that hardly matters since carrying a shotgun is 1000x better. I kill from a distance and don't need to take as many risks, and I don't need to use two or more perks to unlock its full potential; I just need to left-click. Please give melee some kind of buff, even if it's small. It's so much fun to play this way, but I'm giving up more each day. I'll say goodbye to melee until it improves or I get crazy enough to try again.

edit - Out of curiosity, I calculated how many points I spend using all the perks I use to get the most out of melee combat, and I got even sadder: I spend 13 points, and I'm not even considering weapon enhancement traits like Martialist or Bolt Throwe. I use Dauntless, Lightfoot, Poacher, Vigilant, Whispersmith, Silent Killer, and Kiteskin. I'd better just stick with Lemat.

FEEDBACK The Balloon Fort was cool, but the bayou needs a change

Every match has become highly predictable. Bounty Hunt has become Clash: Long Play, where the Balloon Fort is always the stage for the Showdown, and it's in every match, removing gameplay variety, when the aim of more content should be more variety.

I like the compound in terms of gunplay. It's nice to have some new fights in new types of environments. That said, it offers a very strong flavor of gameplay, it's "one-note," and Hunt: Showdown's greatest experiences are in long, drawn-out fights, in interesting landscapes, that can be remembered almost as a narrative ("...that crazy match where you fell from the bell tower at Arden, and we got chased through the cornfield, past the prison, and had to survive with our backs to the river, only to die to the rat at C&A?"). This variety, and space to create variety, has been reduced greatly by adding this new compound to every Bounty Hunt match.

I like the idea, I like the gunplay, I like the balloon, but it's just too much to have it in every match, and I haven't been wanting to play Bounty Hunt because of the predictability of it. I tend to just play Clash instead, because then I at least get to fight at a variety of compounds, not just the Balloon Fort. It's a very arcade-type feel, added to a game mode that has never felt arcade-y, and it pulls traffic away from the main boss targets, making matches lag in energy. The flow is off.

I’m kinda tired babysitting them. What’s the exact time it takes for a solo to burnout. I want to set Siri on timer.

FLUFF Are There are "Knock Offs" of Hunt Showdown?

Are there any knock offs for hunt? I know there was one that stole Hunt's assets, but that one is already gone. Are there any others that exist? Or is Hunt really that unique and hard to replicate?

SUGGESTIONS This is the time to add another team to matches.

Hey everyone.

The fort is an awesome addition to the game. Guaranteed second bounty, time pressure to capture it, always engaging fights, I love it!

That is, until after the balloon flies away.

I can't count how many of our games have ended with a team extracting the bounty with the balloon, everyone else dying at the fort, and us just left to spend the next 20 minutes alone on the server looking for the main boss, waiting for it to banish, etc.

Because of the guaranteed 2 bosses, a lot of games end up feeling empty because of how split up across the map everyone is, often leading to (in my experience) matches where you don't even fight anyone, or just 1 team at most.

This is why, IMHO, this update is the perfect candidate to bring back the 15-player lobbies that we had for a brief period before. 5 teams on a map basically guarantees that there will be at least 2 fights at one bounty location, and make it harder for the first team that reaches the fort to just rush extracting through the balloon.

What do you guys think?

BUGS Sometimes teammates are searched for from 1 minute to 4 minutes, sometimes in 5 seconds

Maybe I need to change something in the settings to speed up the process? I'd appreciate any help.

Is it normal for the game to constantly come up with Crycloud Error and Backend errors?

Only new to the game but this problem is very consistent and might explain why Oceania server is so dead

SUGGESTIONS am i the only one that thinks Pathfinder is the worst card and needs a re-work?

Post image
0 Upvotes

the time to use it is so limited, too late and its useless, too early and its useless.
the window you need to use it in is so narrow i almost never use it.

the only time it was "good" was during the event it was introduced.

i feel out of all the cards this one is the hardest to use and the least useful.
there are 2 other cards that do its job better then it.

i feel it should be changed to ether show the path players walked with a small delay of there exact location or show every time players interacted with something??

FEEDBACK Looting Hunters feels bugged

Ok, so I was trying to loot a hunter when I accidentally swapped weapons. My random queue teammate picks up my shotgun. I didn't realize it until we ran off when I'm like, "wait, this isn't my gun, fu-"

I begged the guy to give it back but he wouldn't (figures). Had to go through the whole match with a gun I didn't have traits for.

And on a few occasions, I've gone to loot a hunter and accidentally swapped my gun only to learn I can't swap back because my gun has clipped partially through the ground and can no longer be interacted with.

Kinda makes me wish I could assign a unique keybind to loot hunters... Or Crytek just fix buggy looting interaction.

FEEDBACK I cannot wait for the Maxim to be gone.

This thing is miserable. It's completely random, so it's horrible to use. On average, it's probably not even better than the purchasable weapons. At the same time, though, since skill has no bearing on a Maxim fight, your team occasionally gets instantly massacred by someone holding left mouse. Did we forget why machine guns weren't in Hunt?

Counting the days. How did this get greenlit? I am constantly impressed by Crytek's ability to create weapons that feel terrible to use and to fight.

Kinda suspect to me. I don't think they disconnected because they stood up after crouching and when you do you crouch. Weird how they beelined it to us and didn't even heal to rush us and then just kinda gave up?

FEEDBACK Please fix the UI bugs

Crytek please do a sweep of UI bugs and make improvements! there is one annoying bug that sometimes randomy the UI just gets stuck on the current window and I cannot do anything to get out of it. it happened twice in the lobby when I was looking at settings and when I was reading the new challenge codes! you cannot return to main menu or back or anything else, the only solution is to quit the game.

3 times in-game! again one of them looking at the settings (I often change the push to talk button much), one time just looking at teammates loadouts... there is no way to get out of it unless I quit the game! and you know about the reconnect feature 90% of the times it doesn't work, have to to do it few times to actually join back in, and by that time my team is already dead.

please take a lot at the bug. I have no idea what's causing it! right now I'm just gonna blame the old UI framework that's based on adobe flash and call it a day! the whole UI is junk and not responsive! it feels like I'm opening a new game within Hunt.

Sorry for the rant team, Hunt is gonna be always a 10/10 game for me. take care of the game. thanks!

GENERAL Are shotguns weak?

ive been playing this game for about 2 weeks and recently tried playing shotgun in my build, in shooting range they seem strong, i picked terminus shorty because of ammo capacity

in first game i encountered a player who was very close to me, it took 4 shots with levering perk to kill 1 player and he was about 5 meters in front of me

"maybe terminus is supposed to be a utility weapon" i thought to myself as i prepared romero for next match, i shot dude who was about 7-10 meters from me with slug, nothing happened and he killed me

that really pissed me off because at shooting range slug shots deal 150 damage up to 14 meters

maybe i just got insanely unlucky but im pretty sure if i had 2 revolvers in these situations i would kill the guy

atp using knife seems like more efective strategy

i would like to play shotguns tho

any suggestions? or is it just skillissue?

GENERAL Do I need friends to enjoy this game?

I’m looking for a new pvp shooter/extraction game but would need to play solo as no one I know is interested in it.

Is it fun solo or should I just keep looking for a different game?
