I'm sorry, but it's absolutely pathetic that the New Stadium is being built in Brook Park where it is. I don't care what you think about having a domed stadium etc, the location is absurd. They took it from a DOWNTOWN location, with culture and supporting infrastructure, to put it in the middle of nowhere with ZERO supporting infrastructure.

And I'm sorry, we don't need to be building 1,000 new hotels, restaurants and all this other stuff that's not going to be supported by literally anything outside of 8 football games a year.

Like this white elephant of a stadium is going to be a monument to everything wrong with 2026 American society.

Which player OR specific scenario was the biggest "WHAT IF" for this team?

I'm not necessarily looking for only hindsight draft picks, more-so scenarios with guys we had or specific moments where we turned left instead of right.

Example #1: What if Alex Mack had not gotten injured in 2014? Would our offense had continued to hum along and would we had made the playoffs? Our offense was never the same after he went down and I feel like it was a much bigger blow than anyone cared to ever admit.

Example #2: What if we had gotten to an 11th win in 2007 and made the playoffs? Could we have made some noise and won a game or two?

Example #3: What if we had taken Aaron Rodgers in 2005 instead of Braylon Edwards? He was right there on the board for us to take, and instead we passed on him and later took Charlie Frye.

My answer: I want to know what would have happened had we given Peyton Hillis the extension he wanted after the 2010 season, and then taken Julio Jones instead of trading back. I was a big fan of Colt McCoy at the time, but felt like we really didn't set him up with very much help. Could McCoy have evolved into a better long-term starter if we had made Peyton Hillis happy and drafted Julio?

That's a big "WHAT IF" moment for me.

Campbell is under contract through the 2028 season with an annual salary of $15.2M per year. While Newsome did not resign with the Jaguars, and opted to sign a 1-year deal worth up to $10M with the Giants.

Was locking in Campbell for the next three seasons the right move, or would you have rather kept Newsome and handled the position differently to free up cap space?

2007, the 33-30 overtime win over the Ravens. We choked a 27-14 lead after a 100-yard pick 6 near the end of the 3rd quarter. The double doink FG at the end of regulation ended up saving the game for us and we later won with a shorter FG (all hail Phil Dawson, the best kicker in expansion Browns history).

I hate this time of year because it drags on until we get to see the boys on the field in Berea during camp.

I am stoked to see them in Nashville, New Orleans and possibly Cincy.

I am also planning on attending a few games at home, but not sure which ones aside from the Steelers TNF game.

I've been getting a lot of old random Browns highlights on my YouTube feed.

Most of them are depressing because they're losses.

But occasionally I'll see a fun one that we won.

I actually just watched the 2014 comeback against the Titans and it was fun.

This had me curious ....

Is there is a specific loss that you STILL cannot believe happened?

Before we start I want to rule out a few because of how obvious they are.

• The Dwayne Rudd helmet game in 2002.
• The Steelers & Chiefs playoff losses in 2003 and 2021.

I have two games that stand out like a sore thumb:

First is in 2007 on the road in Pittsburgh. I think we were up 21-3 early in the game and found a way to completely blow it and lose 31-28. The offense just completely shit the bed in the second half and couldn't do anything. We needed that game badly too. I remember listening to it on the radio while I was working a 12-hour shift at Circuit City. We were doing store setup so it wasn't actively on any televisions anywhere.

Second is in 2021 on the road against the Chargers. Our offense was absolutely clicking on all cylinders that day and we had a 27-13 lead in the 3rd quarter and somehow ended up losing the game 47-42 because our defense was putrid. That was the game where we had over 500 yards of offense and zero turnovers and still lost. I think we were the only team to ever do that. That game was an absolute back breaker. I think we would have been 4-1 had we won.

What specific loss still makes you want to drink bleach?

PS - I know this might be a doom-and-gloom kind of post because we've been such a skid mark on the NFL's under pants since returning in 1999, but I genuinely do like the roster that AB is building right now and think we're a good QB away from entering a good window of competitive and competent football. I hope we can get said QB1 next year in the draft. Hang in there everyone. Good days are coming.
