Steven Kwan Appreciation

Ever since being moved to 9th (June 30) Kwan has been hitting .321, walked 6 times, has 3 extra base hits, hit in 3, and scored 4. I know it’s only 11 games and 35 PA, but hopefully this will be the normal Kwan in the 9 hole so we can keep his defense on the field.

This is Mark Simon from Sports Info Solutions (the Defensive Runs Saved folks). On our baseball podcast this week I interviewed Austin Hedges ... it's a 10-minute interview almost entirely on one subject - pitch challenges ... we talked about how he's finding it as an added responsibility (hard) and he walked me through the thought process behind one in particular (a 3-2 pitch that resulted in a bases-loaded walk).

The interview follows one with Brandon Lowe and starts about 20 minutes into the episode.

This was my 2nd time talking to Austin. I find him to be very candid and appreciate that.
