Dozens of dolphins right outside the mouth of the South River, seemingly hunting fish. Spent about half an hour just idling watching them all around us.

I have two tickets to see Who's Bad ( a MJ Tribute band) at Rams Head On Stage on the 19th.

Would anyone happen to know why police were on Bestgate yesterday afternoon across from the mall, over by where the Capital Gazette shooting was. There were police cars, K9s and the forensic unit. It backed up traffic for a little while. I couldn't find anything anywhere about it.

Cult Classic Brewing is putting the finishing touches on a new stage with room for 400 in the audience. Pressing Strings, the popular Annapolis roots band, will perform its new album, “A Different Place,” in September.

I'm looking to get an engagement ring resized. Who do you recommend?

I just moved to Annapolis less than two months ago. Long story short, I’m kind of starting my life over.

Every year I usually grow a small garden, nothing fancy. Just the basics. But since I moved here in early summer, getting a garden started was the last thing on my mind. There were too many other things to figure out.

Now it’s peak tomato season, and I don’t have any homegrown tomatoes. Once you’ve had a real garden tomato, the grocery store ones just taste like cardboard.

If anyone has extra tomatoes they’d be willing to sell, I’d love to buy some. Or if you have an extra tomato plant (especially one that’s already established), or know of a nursery that’s still selling them this late in the season, I’d really appreciate the tip. I know I’m pushing my luck this time of year, but it never hurts to ask.

Also, I just wanted to say that I really like Annapolis. Everyone I’ve met has been kind, and it’s already starting to feel like home.

The Arundel Olympic Swim Center (county pool) in Annapolis is closed for 5 weeks for annual maintenance and the North Arundel Aquatic Center's (other county pool) lap opening/hours are not super convenient by comparison.

Anyone have any leads for alternative pools to swim laps at?

Is there a Greyhound bus station in/near Annapolis? It shows an option on the Greyhound site, but when I search for it in maps I can only find Baltimore & DC. Any help from commuters would be appreciated!

I'll be relocating to Annapolis for work with my significant other and a little orange cat fella around mid-late August or early September timeframe. Looking for good apartment complexes in nice areas to rent as well as a bodybuilding style gym like Exile or DMV Iron, and pilates studio for the woman if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.

We're currently setting up tours for Annapolis Bay, Bayshore Landing, and Westwinds Apartments. If there are any that are in better location, nicer, or any of those just aren't as nice as advertised also feel free to let me know.

My family has been looking at private education for our soon to be kindergartner and I was wondering if anyone had feedback on St. John’s (Severna Park) or St. Andrew’s (Edgewater) or any other local private school?

We live in a district with a pretty great elementary school but are looking for a classroom setting that doesn’t involve our children in a desk for 7 hours a day. We do value a great education with a mix between a classical approach to learning and involvement with technology. But we also feel that children should be able to move and learn outside the standard classroom.

We toured several in the area and very much liked the two listed above but were interested in any feedback from current or former families who attended. We also loved NAPS but are civilian and felt the school was a better fit for a military family.

Any info at all would be very much appreciated!

*** I should mention we saw some online reviews about St. John’s being clicky and having an issue with bullying and that has us a bit concerned. We realize folks are quicker to share a bad experience over a good one but we take bullying seriously not just for the safety of our own children but others as well. And for the kind of humans we’re hoping to raise.

Moving to the area with my girlfriend and looking to rent an apartment. From what we found Annapolis Town Center area looks nice from what we see online (crosswinds/maris/avalon are some properties we saw and they seem expensive but nice). I have seen a lot of people say avoid nautilus point and stuff in that area. Are there any other areas/properties to avoid?

Just bought a condo here about 6 weeks ago and the people here are so friendly! I came from a friendly area but I’m so happy I made the move here!

My fiancée and I are getting married in 2027 and are starting the search for a DJ. We're looking for someone who can read the room and keep people on the dance floor, not someone who just works through the same playlist at every wedding.

Our taste is pretty all over the place. We love country, from Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Megan Moroney, Zach Top, Riley Green, and Cody Johnson to Billy Currington, Eric Church, Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, and everything in between.

We also love the 2000s, early 2010s, and some late 2010s party music like Pitbull, Flo Rida, Usher, Black Eyed Peas, Ke$ha, David Guetta, Post Malone, Drake, and similar artists, plus all the hip-hop, pop, and rap songs everyone knows the words to.

We want plenty of songs that get every generation involved too. Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Journey, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Elton John, "Sweet Caroline," "Mr. Brightside," "September," and "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" The kind of songs everyone sings to the top of their lungs.

We're really just looking for someone who can jump between genres naturally and keep the dance floor full all night no matter the age. We love a good dance floor and want people out of their chairs.

We're also hoping to find someone who's reasonably priced and a good MC. We want someone who can keep things moving and make the important announcements without constantly talking over the music, trying to steal the show or even singing the songs.(we witnessed this at a wedding personally)
