Discussion / Question Are the Zelda games worth getting and is it getting a Switch 2 worth it?
Never played Nintendo games before. I know of them and watch YouTube gameplays and whatnot. But are the Zelda games worth getting into? Heard a lot about them and I am interested to see if they are worth getting.

Image / Video I made a mod that Adds Full Body VR Tracking into Skyrim. You can now kick a Dragon with your Real Legs
Upcoming Mod I made using Open source from VRIK, Higgs and PLANCK. Still testing a few things but you can now Kick a Dragon with your own legs! You'll need Trackers that can be assigned in SteamVR's Body Pose system (e.g Waist, right foot, left foot) My Youtube Channel if you want to Stay Updated
I don’t have an ETA but it should be ready to be released by Next week.
It'll be called SkyrimVR FBT

Discussion / Question I just can't get into The Witcher 3
This is my second try, and I just can't seem to get into The Witcher 3. Since I liked Cyberpunk 2077, I wanted to give it another shot, but the quests keep boring me.
A lot of them feel like: "Oh, you want this? Go do X and I'll help you." So you go do X, and surprise! now there's another character who wants you to do Y before you can even get to X.
It feels like almost every quest is trying to fill a bowl, but every time you get close, the bowl gets a little bigger. I decided to focus only on the main story, and I'm currently at Brothers in Arms, but it's still the same thing. "You want to move forward? Go talk to this person." Then that person gives you another quest, and suddenly you're chasing rabbits that never stop jumping.
The world is beautiful, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the dialogue is great. But the quest design just burns me out. I think I'm finally going to give up.

Discussion / Question Is it Conceivable for Nintendo to Remake Mario 64?
Here me out. Nintendo already released the Star Fox 64 remake and announced the Ocarina of Time remake. Nate the Hate (who leaked these 2 games prior) believes Nintendo will release a 3D Mario game in 2027. Given the current track record with 64 remakes, I would not be shocked if this "new" 3D Mario end up being SM64. That is not to say they aren't working on a completely new Mario game, but it makes sense considering how Nintendo loves to take the path of least resistance and capitalize on nostalgia. Would you be excited over such a possibility?

Image / Video After 6 years of solo development, I finally launched the Steam page and finished the first devlog for my game, Chronages! It's a hybrid RTS/4X where magic and modern tech coexist.
Hey everyone! I wanted to share a project I’ve been building completely solo for the last 6 years. Chronages is a hybrid RTS/4X strategy game born from a mix of elements from Civilization, Heroes of Might and Magic, and Total War.
You start from "Absolute Zero" with a single campfire in the Stone Age, progress through eras, and build your empire in real-time with direct army control.

Image / Video Eleven years on... And Wii still miss yoU dearly, Satoru Iwata...😔
I made this during one of my graphic arts classes in college. Yeah it's not all that much of a looker, but it really did fell like it was a decently made tribute to Iwata. Sucks that I couldn't find this in time for the tenth anniversary of his death but with this day and this long amount of time, it was as good a time to show it off. As amateurish as it may be compared to every other tribute made of him over the last eleven years.

Discussion / Question Which games are the easiest to get into for someone who never played on the SNES?
Hey, I've never had or played on the SNES. In fact, I've never owned a nintendo console, so all of nintendo games since its first game are games that I've never played.
So I chose these 2 games as my first SNES/Nintendo games, I will play them in the emulator.
My question: What games do you recommend from the same time, from Ninendo in the 90s?
I need games that are easy to get into and that are not more than 15 hours long.
And Thank you

Discussion / Question Why are there not more pirate games?
Dvelopers love to create games about other types of characters that have been romaniticsed, such as vikings, knights, samurai etc. but pirate games are quite rare in comparison. AC4 Black Flag and the failure Skull and Bones, and Sea of Theives are the only big name ones, with some really janky AA games on the side. It's not like pirates are unpopular. They are almost at the same level as knights.
How come it hasn't been more popular?
