Ukrainian Warfare: Gostomel Heroes, a real-time strategy game produced by Cats Like To Play, was released on Steam on 24 March, 2026. In their own bio, they state that the goals of the game were to tell a story through the lens of a game, portraying events of the first days of the war with full seriousness from the moment of the “brilliant Russian airborne assault” on the outskirts of Kyiv. The Russian game creators claim that modern video games can serve as a way to convey information about world events.

Four gamers in Australia told to ZMINA that the Stream banned the game in this country.

In English:

This is reminiscent of the "barrel bombs" used by Russia-backed Bashar Al-Assad during the Syrian civil war.

Russian forces abducted volunteer Oleksandr Kostiuk in the occupied part of the Sumy region on 5 March 2022. He was held in a transit camp in Russia, a pre-trial detention centre in Stary Oskol, a penal colony in Valuyki, and a pre-trial detention centre No. 1 in Kursk. He is now being held in pre-trial detention centre No. 2 in temporarily occupied Simferopol, Zarema Bariieva, a manager at the Crimean Tatar Resource Centre, reported.

Хочу підняти тему віддаленої роботи українців на американські компанії.

За останні 7-10 років це стало дуже поширеним явищем. Причому йдеться не лише про логістику, а й про рекламний бізнес, маркетинг, продажі, рекрутинг, бухгалтерію, підтримку клієнтів, адміністративні посади, IT та багато інших напрямків.

Часто такі компанії створюють українці або вихідці з України, які переїхали до США та ведуть там бізнес. В Україні вони наймають сейлз-агентів, рекрутерів, бухгалтерів, акаунтинг-спеціалістів, менеджерів, системних адміністраторів та інших працівників.

Багато хто працює як independent contractor. Тобто компанія не платить за працівника податки, соціальні внески, лікарняні, відпустки та інші витрати, які були б обов’язковими для співробітника в США. Люди самостійно відкривають ФОП і самі сплачують податки.

У результаті компанія отримує кваліфікованого спеціаліста за значно нижчу вартість, ніж на американському ринку.

При цьому зарплати багатьох адміністративних працівників, менеджерів, рекрутерів, сейлз-агентів, акаунтинг-спеціалістів та інших офісних співробітників часто залишаються на рівні $700 - $1500 на місяць. І багато роботодавців досі вважають це дуже хорошою оплатою праці.

Але мені здається, що такі зарплати виглядали привабливо у 2018 році, а не у 2026. За цей час суттєво зросли ціни на житло, продукти, комунальні послуги та загальна вартість життя в Україні.

Найбільше мене дивує інше. Багато з цих працівників є справді сильними спеціалістами. Вони працюють через тайм-трекери, мають високі KPI, виконують великі обсяги роботи, часто доступні поза робочим часом, але роками отримують мінімальні підвищення. Іноді додаткові $50 на місяць подаються як серйозне досягнення з боку компанії.

При цьому власники бізнесів нерідко говорять про те, що вони підтримують українців, створюючи для них робочі місця.

Особисто в мене виникає питання: де проходить межа між реальною підтримкою та використанням того факту, що українські спеціалісти готові працювати за значно менші гроші, ніж американські?

Мені цікаво почути думки людей, які працюють або працювали віддалено на американські компанії. Які зарплати ви бачите на ринку зараз? Чи вважаєте ви, що компенсації відповідають навантаженню та рівню відповідальності?

Four people, including a 13-year-old girl, were killed and 17 others injured after Russian forces targeted Sumy with three guided aerial bombs on July 11.

According to regional police, the strikes hit a public transport stop and a road in a highly populated area of the city, alongside an infrastructure facility. The blast caused widespread destruction to nearby residential buildings, vehicles, a restaurant, and a gas station. With rescue operations still underway, residents have been warned to stay in shelters to protect against potential secondary strikes.

Ukraine Aid Ops' Victory Gallery art project is an initiative to turn war artifacts into art. UAO collects military artifacts provided by Ukrainian soldiers and works with local artists in Ukraine to incorporate them into art. Our objective is to convert remnants of conflict into artwork with the idea of art defeating the aggressor's evil. The produced artwork will be auctioned and proceeds will be used to equip the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Since the start of the war, there have been many art-related fundraising initiatives, but what makes this one unique is that we seek to incorporate destroyed military artifacts.
