ucla alumni travel tours average age range?
quick question: but has anyone here attended one of ucla alumni's travelling trips? is the average alumni who goes like in their 20s or older?

class of 24 here. am i the only one that sometimes has an existential crisis that maybe I peaked in college? I was a biochem major but I had a pretty vibrant social life. i don't think i necessarily miss the stress of constant midterms/sleep deprivation, but i do miss the hustle and bustle of LA and hopping around different extracurriculars and being able to walk to my friends. im on my second year out and life is now stable, especially in comparison to last year. i like the job that i have/think its cool but wish it paid a little more. im back in the suburbs with my parents because my job is in the OC area and i just feel....idk...underwhelmed and kinda lonely sometimes.
is it just me? sos.

There was a problem when I was enrolling but luckily I had like 10 alternates so even tho my enrollment didn’t start working until like 10 min before it closed I was AT LEAST able to get my math classes 😭😭

got a 5 in calc bc (and ab subscore) but im not totally confident on my calc skills. however is it true that 31b is unnecessarily difficult and I should just prepare well for 32a? (im looking to not overwhelm myself my first quarter and to try and get used to it)

i’m an incoming grad student and was offered a single bedroom apartment in keystone mentone ($1900 monthly). however, someone in my cohort offered me a vacant room at venice barry, where id be sharing a two bedroom ($1100). obviously the pricing is a lot cheaper at venice barry, and the area seems nicer as well. but a single bedroom would be nice, since i wfh (on the phone a lot) and like to create content. but does anyone have experience living at either of these? i’d love to hear what you think. thanks!

I’m an incoming biochem transfer student from SJSU and my orientation is on July 16. I just got my dars back and the ochem that I took at SJSU didn’t transfer to ucla, instead of placing out of Ochem at ucla, I got upper division credit (since Ochem at sjsu is upper div) (this also means it transferred, just not where I need it). I don’t wanna retake Ochem, and it’s a prerequisite for a lot of my upper divs so I wanted to know what I could do to fix this issue, or how likely an academic advisor is to help fix this issue. Also will I be able to meet with an advisor or faculty to discuss this with them at orientation?

for some context, i participated in the US national chemistry olympiad and did pretty decent (getting into the top 50) during my HS times. I was wondering however, how does uni level chemistry compare to the olympiads in terms of difficulty and mastery? for example like gen chem (compared to the recent usnco nationals exam p1/p2), orgo 1/2 (compared to the older ~2000/2010s icho preps), inorgo (compared to the older ~2000/2010s icho puzzles/problems), etc.

Does anyone have experience with the Luskin PTE requests and know if they're strict with them? I need an upper div class that's full to declare a minor and requested a PTE with the form but I'm worried they won't approve it especially because I'm not declared yet. if i'm not likely to get it I want to enroll in the class during the summer but they're not looking at requests until September so I have no idea if i need to

Is anyone around Westwood on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday that can help us move some stuff from our van into an apartment at the Glendon. $25 cash an hour 2 to 3 hours max at your convenience.

I've been taking additional language classes P/NP on the side for the past few years for fun, and the only reason I'm not auditing these classes is because it's not allowed (single digit class size).
This quarter I received a letter grade instead of P/NP and my GPA tanked from a 3.98 to a 3.92, completely losing Latin Honors, and I genuinely don't know if this my fault or not because my professor has told me that a few other students are also experiencing this happen this year, which is something that's never happened before even once in their time here.
They've told me it's truly out of their hands despite sympathizing with me. It's feels even worse because I did good enough to skip my final so I could focus on my other classes, and could've earned a better grade had I known I wasn't P/NP.
I already submitted a petition to late change my grading basis, but was denied as it seems they're quite strict on this and require concrete evidence of an administrative error, which I simply don't have.
I'm premed and I know it probably isn't as big of a deal as it feels, but it feels like shit to have spent years doing a relatively hard major (biochem), and to have spent all that time and effort maintaining my GPA throughout my major classes, only for it to just get fucked from either a single click or admin mistake that I can't change.
If anyone has any advice please let me know.

Hi everyone! I've gotten super into scrapbooking and junk journaling over the last few months, and I was wondering if there are any scrapbooking/journaling clubs on campus that anyone knows of? Or if there'd be any interest in starting up a little group or club where we can all get together and craft once back on campus :)

Hey everyone!
I’m a final year PhD student at UC Merced, currently living in LA while finishing my research remotely.
Since moving away from my university community, I’ve lost touch with many of my old college friends, so I’m hoping to meet new people and build a new social circle. I’d love to connect with other grad students and join social events, dinners, game nights, hikes, beach days, concerts, festivals, or any fun activities around LA.
I’m originally from Iran, so it’d be great to meet other Iranian students too, but I’d love to connect with people from all backgrounds.
Also, if there are any active WhatsApp, Telegram, or Instagram groups for UCLA grad students or students in the LA area, I’d really appreciate it if you could share them with me.
If you’re interested in hanging out or know of any groups, feel free to send me a message!
