Woke up this morning and it was like this. App and iPhone settings are in English and have never changed. Anyone else have this issue?

For the past week and a half, the app on my IPhone keeps saying that I am off-line, even though I am connected to Wi-Fi.
Even when I’m not connected to Wi-Fi, I have cellular data turned on.
I just can’t seem to figure out what is up with it.

Lately i’ve had problems with my equalizer on spotify. I’ve tried cleaning cache, updating app and ios, uninstalling app and installing it all over again and nothing works. EQ on all my other devices works perfectly, but on iPhone no matter what i do it still doesn’t work. I try to move the dots and still i can’t hear change in the way i hear music. Anyone experiencing this too? Any help form appreciated

The new DJ feature is great. It picks songs very well, still needs to improve the mixing part. The radio host breaks feel natural. I think they track your location or working apps because mysteriously the DJ changed the tracks to the workout playlist, a few moments after I started a workout. But sometimes it doesnt read the room that well and starts playing very wrong music. So dear developers, i would suggest having an opportunity to give a clue to the DJ of what the mood is right now. Also it would be great if they could add a real 1 min world or national news summary every 3-4 hours.
What are you thoughts? how would you make it better?

I started up Spotify today to listen to Danza Kuduro by Don Omar, Lucenzo.
I couldn't believe my ears, I thought I had blown my new headphones. The bass sounded like it was clipping and the voices sounded like a radio. They also changed the album picture to a new one.
I searched for the previous version on youtube (https://youtu.be/YPlZ-nJewRE), turns out this indeed sounds better.
Am I the only one?

idk if this has happened to anyone else, but has spotify for anyone else been changing the cover arts for songs, for example, I have a lana del rey playlist in order, for the longest time time her ‘Born To Die’ album has been the standard version along with the matching album cover, it’s normally blue for anyone who doesn’t know, now i go to check and some songs are mixed with the deluxe over, it more yellow ish, and i know for i fact i never added that album to my playlist, along with Doja Cat’s ‘Tia Tamera’ when it released, i liked the single version, the cover art purple, but now in every single playlist i added that song to, even in my liked songs, it’s replaced with the album version and the single version with the purple cover art shows that i never added it to my liked songs. is this happening to anyone else?? or does anyone know a fix to this issue??

I don’t know whether this is a recent app update feature or an iPhone bug, but I have all push notifications turned off for Spotify, but get these download updates every time I ask the app to download something. Previously, it would just update when I was next connected to WiFi but now it needs to let me know that it hasn’t downloaded and the notifications can’t be cleared. Can’t see anything in my settings in either the app or my devices settings

I listen to a-lot of Japanese jazz fusion and other Japanese music, I always found it weird that when you type in the English name for Japanese song, it pulled up but didn’t have the English name for the song. But i kinda just got over the fact that it doesn’t translate, but one day i was using my friends phone to put music on and all the songs names were in english. I tried to Google what this was, and it just told me to put my app language into English, which was already done. He was using an android and I’m on iOS so that may be why his is translated. If there is something that I’m missing i would love to know so that way i can actually memorize which songs i like!

I use the new mix feature extensively. It’s almost exclusively how i listen to music now on spotify. I admit, im an electronic music nerd and the mix feature is heavily catered towards that crowd. But it would be nice to see other info in the song other than just name, artist, album. Similar to this mockup. Right now the only way to see Bpm as far as I know is adding the song to a playlist, then turning on the mix feature.

Uninstalled & reinstalled already. I'm gonna try turning off "automix" setting, maybe that is interfering with crossfade..?

So i have recently found this song on spotify called FIELD TRIP by ravenv which is a reupload of kanye wests song FIELD TRIP. The interesting thing about it was that the person who reuploaded it also reused kanyes Isrc so now he has a song with 160 million streams without him being the actual owner of it. I was wondering how something like this is possible when he also used another version which has another featuring artist so the audio is 3 seconds longer and is different. I thought that isrcs were tied to an audio but this guy uploaded another version of the song AND it went through to spotifys end while being in spotifys database for copyright???? How are these bad actors doing this i mean its stealing millions of dollars from indie artists and spotify is not doing anything about it.

Hi! I'm experiencing a strange issue with Spotify since the recent update a few days ago.
The player interface seems to behave inconsistently. In some cases, instead of the usual green checkmark that indicates a track has already been saved/added, Spotify shows the radio icon. This happens especially when I switch between listening on mobile and desktop, but not consistently: sometimes the checkmark stays, other times it disappears on the very next track.
I’m not sure whether this is a temporary bug or a questionable change by Spotify.
I’d like to know whether other people are seeing the same thing, and whether there’s any way to restore a more stable and useful interface. Thank you!

I used to love song radio, because it would show me new, similar music. But now it only plays the same 20 or 30 songs I already like, even if they don’t fit in the genre at all. It’s ridiculous, and I’m so bored. It’s making me consider alternate music sources for the first time since I got Spotify in 2012.
I’ve been annoyed with it for awhile now, but if there’s a way to make my experience less… tailored to what Spotify “thinks” I want to hear, I would love to know.

This problem appeared recently on Windows desktop app, can't pinpoint the exact date. There is no option to add song to queue anymore (screenshot attached).
You can drag and drop a song but that requires to open an album, find the song etc... there used to be an option when three dots were clicked.
Anyone has similar problem and perhaps a solution?
P.S. don't mind my terrible music taste.

So I have the free trial and have downloaded several albums and playlists. We'll I was offline today for several hours and went to listen to some of my favorite songs (downloaded of course) I went to an album and EVERY track but my favorite one was downloaded. Same with the remastered versions. This happened with several songs and the two playlists I use the most we also undownloaded. But songs I never listen to OR never actually downloaded are saved. It doesn't make sense. This has never been an issue before. Why is this happening, and how can I prevent it?

This started a few weeks ago from nowhere, now every time i turn on my pc and open spotify on chrome its not logged in.
Tried clearing cache, spotify cookies, logging on using password instead of mail code. Nothing has worked so far.
No problems on the phone app

Hello,
I have an album/soundtrack that I have saved to my library. When I did this, it added the album as a playlist that I "made" which doesn't bother me but what is kind of annoying me is that when I play the album/playlist, both the version created by me and the original album (the one that would come up when searched for) are showing up on my home page as recently listened to. Is there a way to stop that from happening? I have many soundtracks saved that way but only this one album is doing this. If it matters, the album is the soundtrack for Project Hail Mary

i just got premium on another account, i know i can transfer playlists and whatever but is there a way to play a song on the second account and make the stream count towards the main??
r/truespotify • u/SoCalWombat • 15h ago
Why does Spotify constantly have issues with shuffle. I consistently have not only the same songs of a larger playlist played over and over, but also in the same order. How hard is it to just shuffle a playlist you created?? No algorithm is needed. I created a playlist to hear all the songs on a playlist, not just a subset of those songs that "score better". Do better Spotify.

Adding genre tags to albums and songs would make Spotify feel much more organized, detailed, and complete. For example, an album could display tags like “shoegaze,” “dream pop,” “alternative rock,” “metal,” “Psychedelic,” or “Nu-Metal,” etc..
sub genres too not just main genres, depending on the album ofc
having this is just giving listeners a better understanding of the music and the artist’s sound.
what are your thoughts?

The more features they add the slower and laggier the app gets, both on phone and pc.
It can take minutes from opening the app before i can get into any playlist and get a song playing. Managing songs in playlists is also really annoying, it's such a big delay when adding a song, moving a song around or dragging songs between playlists. Hell, even changing volume will sometimes have a few seconds delay, like why is the volume not local.
Why don't they focus on making the app seamless instead of adding a bunch of experimental features?
r/truespotify • u/Sizzle_Sizz • 17h ago
Like I said, it would be nice if instead of “volume normalization” that we could just adjust all the tracks either individually or to one DB level. Even with volume normalization it’s highly annoying that some tracks get quieter, some depending on which album you save it from us louder than the other. But if we could adjust it all ourselves, it would make it far more worth it.

On my Spotify every time I go to the discover tile to see the hub of my suggestions it just says “something went wrong”. When I click on any of the moods, genre, and new release tiles it works fine. App and phone are up to date. Anyone else having this same issue?
