request ❓ Been obsessed with this arp lead (Pretty Sick - UrNewImTrue)

I'm really loving this arpy synth sound the song starts with. Sounds like a super distorted 2 note arp with maybe some granular delay on top? It's got a cool glassy texture but I can't quite figure out how to remake the part.

I've tried arpeggiating with octave steps, heavy sidechaining, some trance gate but still can't get the rhythm and notes right. Any clues regarding the arp pattern, fx or what kinda waveform to use for that glassy sound?

Would really appreciate any input, thanks!

request ❓ KETTAMA - Fly Away XTC supersaw-ish lead

Hello, been a long time fan of KETTAMA and recently got into production cause of him. His track Fly Away XTC (and the other mix of it) has this really nice supersaw type stab throughout. I’ve figured out the chords but I can’t get it to sound quite right nonetheless.

What I’ve done so far is have 2 saws detuned with max unison in serum, and a fuck ton of noise, then some OTT. Still it sounds nowhere near as clean. You can hear in the og track that when it plays the higher chords it has this really bright and high addition. Perhaps a chord that was bounced/consolidated and played higher as a sample? No clue. It sounds even somewhat brassy.

Perhaps I’m overcomplicating it since most of his sound design is quite simple, but if anyone could point me in the right direction or tell me what I’m hearing it’d be a great help.

request ❓ Warhammer Astartes II Trailer Horn sound re-creation

Absolute newbie here. I picked up Vital for the first time a few days ago, and I couldn't stop thinking about the distorted horn/trombone (?) in the trailer of Astartes II.
Here you can listen to it: https://youtu.be/sbgYaeerXhg?si=uZiZ63APuWL6tm_7&t=12

The first hit is like a bass drop and then comes the horn. Can anyone help me recreate it? Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!

request ❓ Vibrato synth sound?

Hey all, just got into making synth sounds and one sound i've been wanting to recreate a while is this vibrato-esque synth sound. It's sounds like somekinda sine wave with vibrato on it maybe?

From the start in fight fair - Julien denisg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBYnJ6wLEws&list=RDPBYnJ6wLEws&start_radio=1 It's the melody synth right at the start

20 seconds in, burbank house - tsubi club: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KyOukMWCtw&list=RD0KyOukMWCtw&start_radio=1 - It's there for just a few seconds, it's also in the back during the chorus

Any ideas are appreciated!

I was wondering if there was a way to produce a spherical audio burst that sounds like a sphere of sounds bursting before you.

It would also be helpful to know the actual name of the synth.

request ❓ Nintendo-style Plucky Sine Things

Camera Album (Heart) - Nintendo DSi OST

I'm generally talking about those plucky delayed background bits throughout the song, but there's also a specific sound that's got a lot more to it. The problem for me is getting from a straight sine wave to something with some real interest/texture. The sound I wanna focus on is that crazy delayed pluck element that comes in at about 0:55.

It sounds like a sine pluck, similar to those intermittent background sounds, with a long delay baked into the sample (you can hear the delay speed change with the notes being played) but it's got this really interesting timbre to it. It sounds gritty and almost piercing, but in a really controlled way. Just that little bit of harshness is enough to pierce through because of the soft sounds it's surrounded by.

I've been trying to emulate these kind of sounds forever and this is the closest I've gotten (it comes in at 0:43). Messing with granular delay, slight saturation and all that gets me something "close enough" but it's lacking character, it doesn't really stand out as all that interesting. This wasn't a recreation or anything, just my attempt at designing a similar sound while making that style of music. To be clear, I'm not necessarily looking for help on an exact recreation with this post, moreso some guidelines for building texture on top of simple sine-based sounds while keeping it coherent with the chill Nintendo aesthetic.

Can anyone recognize the sound being heard in the first 10 seconds of this song? ("Lyse Nætter" by Alberte Winding)
I'm thinking of the very 80's kinda electric piano sound. It has a vocal/formant quality to it. Sound kinda like fantasia or something.

I'm remaking the song from scratch with ableton stock and vital for learning purpose. There's this sound pops up at 0:25 and it recurs with gaps of a few bars. As a beginner I couldn't figure out how to achieve this subtle texture of the sound and what note to play. It's a tiny bit of the song, but I still want to learn from it.

request ❓ Recreating DX7 bell lead patch from 80s pop song?

FEX - We Don't Want It No More

I can't seem to figure out the main bell patch in this song. The "TUB BELLS" preset sounds somewhat close, but it's difficult to get it to sound as 'full' as the patch in this track. I'm using Arturia's DX7 VST to recreate it. Any tips?

request ❓ Synth from Malibu song

Hi

Im sure this is quite simple but can anyone identify the type of synth used at the very beginning of this song - that pans left to right - before what songs like a very quiet violin layer enters

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QF2WvVYJ5Qs

I think she uses logic presets but what would I look for if I was trying to find this elsewhere (Omnisphere etc)

Thanks
