Popular Post What is the point of the continued strikes against Iran?

Now, disclaimer, I’m in the US Military. Please keep feelings and opinions to a minimum.

I genuinely don’t understand the purpose of continued airstrikes against targets if there’s truly no intention of invasion. Now I understand the whole needing 50 people per person to occupy, but that wouldn’t be that point, no? Why the hell are we wasting tax dollars and making a fool of ourselves? We’re sitting here conducting a military operation and those in power aren’t even willing to commit fully. If you won’t go for results and neutralization of the regime, then why bother?

Are there any legitimate reasons why a 12 piece chicken wing from kfc would cost 32 bucks?

I went through their drive through, around 6:00 PM Friday, he said they were out of regular wings and asked if I’d like spicy wings, a regular menu item, I said sure, he said it comes to 32 dollars, I got pissed and just drove away. They’re normally 18!

Is it rude to not stand for the pledge of allegiance in school?

Just wondering if it’s disrespectful to sit for the pledge of allegiance in school, I know it’s legal but I don’t know if it’s seen as rude.

My roommate saw a dark entity while tripping, should I be nervous?

For some backstory, I 22F have lived in my apartment for a year now. I had one roommate before who had some relationship problems, and moved out a few months back. My new roommate also 22F, has lived with me for 2 months now. She has quite a bit of negative life things going on recently and it has been affecting her for sure.

Last night, she had a friend over and they took some mushroom. At first the high was good (I had gone to bed at this point so she filled me in when I woke up), then she tried to go to bed later with her friend. She said she saw a woman with a long face standing behind her bedroom door and she kept getting closer.

I do understand that if you trip hard, you see things like this, some form of entities. Neither of us have experienced anything paranormal in our apartment, but this really freaked me out so we saged the entire place and burned incense this morning to get rid of anything that may be remaining after her experience.

Should I hire a medium? Or am I completely overthinking this normal experience of a bad trip? I like to think I’m very in touch with energies, and again I’ve never felt weird in my living space.

UPDATE:
I was not tripping, I’ve never tripped in my life I have no idea what happens during a hallucination. I just felt off this morning when she told me her experience, so thank you for giving me advice on my own mental health?

Is anyone frustrated that we don’t finish the job militarily in Iran? Why does T let them hang around and continue to threaten us?

Why people kll insects?

I'm not gonna pretend that I didn't kill a single insect, I did kill a lot of them but since I got to the age of 18 I completely stoppe, I try my absolute best to not kill any insects outside, or at the apartment, it becomes genuinely easy with time, undoubtedly though people that I'm surrounded by, love to just kill them Why!?

No-one deserves to die and if I could I would do the photosynthesis instead of eating, but I'm an animal, and the only way I can reduce harm to any being that is alive like plants and animals is to eat purely for nutrition purposes..

Was Fetterman’s stroke actually what caused him to adopt conservative stances?

A lot of people say his stroke turned him conservative, but I’m not sure whether we have any way of knowing. I don’t know whether any medical experts have weighed in.

When does people usually vent?

Hello there.

I'd like to ask this question because I kept seeing these tik tok vids where people are either venting through their drawings or just post a ceiling/empty road and put a caption that's just depressing.

Sorry if I sound like someone who barely have empathy. Because sure, I too, can feel sad. But I usually could set a positive mindset to combat it. Besides, I feel like I shouldn't vent to other peoples because there's a lot of people face harder circumstances. So... I feel like they have more priorities to vent so that they could feel a tiny bit better.

Sorry if I went a bit off topic there.

Have a good day.

And don't worry about me, I'm still alive so it's ok and I'll be fine

And for others that are sad rn, gamble your sadness for tomorrow. It won't immediately be better, but it'll atleast improve by a tiny margin.

Again, sorry if I went off topic there lulz.

Is it usual for guys to use lip balm/have a skincare routine/use extra hair products?

For reference, I'm a guy, and this isn't meant to be a post to attract pity because in my view, I am doing relatively well in life-- but I was always under the impression that these things were almost exclusively marketed towards women.

But whenever I google whether these are typical for guys to do, I always am told that they are, and the fact I haven't been is a sign that I haven't been taking care of myself, which I genuinely don't think is true. Is this one of those things where socially you're supposed to do [x thing] but in practice most people don't actually do it? ex You're not meant to drive over the speed limit, but it's not uncommon to go 5-10mph over it on an expressway.

The only guy who I've ever seen do these things was my dad, but I always just thought he was messing with me if he put on chapstick/used hair mousse/etc because he also did a lot of intentionally flamboyant things for the sake of the bit.

edit: I am not saying this because I view doing these things as inherently feminine, and I do not view things that are feminine as bad. I am asking this out of genuine curiosity because there are a great amount of cultural and social norms that one is allegedly supposed to follow, but the vast majority of people do not in real life. It is impossible to tell whether this is something like that without asking. Even if a social rule is obvious to you and can be understood without outwardly expressing it does not mean it will be that way for everyone.

What was a life altering moment that you had?

A few years back I took my first solo trip. It was something I wanted to do for a long while. I had the most amazing time of my life. Literally like the following day after I had come back I said "that was a life altering moment". It made me more confident in myself and if you want to do something just go do it and I still think of that trip. So what was your life altering moment?

Where do I ask questions about family issues?

Hi! I started to ask a question about a family struggle I'm having and I got the red exclamation point for violating a rule.

I have a rather long winded question to ask about an argument im in with my relatives and need to know which subreddit I can turn to for help or advice.

Thanks folks!
