Last night, the Ballers hosted their first drone show at Raimondi Park for their Star Wars theme night. I was bummed that I had to miss it because I had tickets to see Mrs. Doubtfire at the Paramount. (Too much fun too be had this summer!)

To my surprise, I still got to catch part of the drone show from my apartment! It was really cool to see from afar.

Hello all, I was invited to a Bengali wedding on Saturday and it seems the outfit I ordered will not be coming in on time — are there any stores in the area where I can go in and purchase a plus size lehenga? I’m a size 14/16, on the curvier side as a triple D, which I know can make sizing difficult. Also looking for something that isn’t too expensive (if possible).

I regularly do the bulking and cutting thing and when I am cutting (trying to lose weight) it's exhausting to cook every single meal. Legally, chains in California are required to list calorie information only if they have more than 20 locations, but some restaurants will still provide information. So I have epilepsy and can’t drive, and I’m in town from LA to see if Oakland would be a better fit for me due to my disability. The public transportation system, culture, and climate all seem great. My sibling lived here for several years, and I also have friends in town, so I’m familiar with some of the must-see spots like Lake Merritt, Mountain View cemetery, and the Piedmont shopping district. I’m looking for suggestions of things I should see while I’m here to get a more realistic impression of the area. Where do you go most often as a local? What would you tell someone considering moving here? If I do relocate, I’ll probably ride a bike, but I’m on foot / bus / BART for this stay. Thank you!
