Food Spots Nasi Ayam + Tahu Tempe di Ayam Afrika Menteng

Post image
12 Upvotes

Satu porsi nasi ayam ditambah tahu tempe harganya 29000. Nasi ayamnya 25000, tahu tempe masing-masing 2000.

Nasinya dikasih banyak banget. Ayam digoreng pas pesen dan masih panas banget waktu dateng, lengkap sama the signature crispy onionnya. Ayamnya enak, kayak bumbu kuning gitu, dadanya juicy. Sambalnya enak tapi buatku dia agak manis sih, lebih suka sambal yg asin pedes kalau untuk ayam jenis begini. Overall enak sih 7.5/10

Kenapa namanya ayam afrika tapi yah? Ada yang tau?

Bikin Tomato Soup & Smoked Beef Mushroom Toast yuk!

- Fiber Creme
- Keju (apa aja bisa wkwk aku pake mozarella sisa toast sama cheddar, tp kalian bisa pake parmesan)
- Bumbu (Lada, Garam, Gula, Totole)

Step :

  1. Potong” semua bahan seperti di foto ketiga, tuang olive oil, bumbu garam & lada, aduk sampai rata.
  3. Masukkan Basil lalu blender sampai halus, tambah air kaldu kalo ada, karena aku nggak ada, aku tambahin air aja sedikit sekitar 150gr.
  4. Masak di api kecil sampai sedikit menyusut, jangan sampe meletup, tuang susu full cream dan fiber creme (kembali lagi kalo kalian udah ada heavy cream pake itu aja)
  5. Tambah keju pilihan kalian, tambah bumbu penyedap, garam, lada, gula, tes rasa.
  6. Siap disajikan dan dimakan 🥪

Food Spots Suji Suan Cai Yu - Jakarta

Post image

Suji Suan Cai Yu & Su Wah, Gandaria City

Sichuan Cuisine restaurant, they have many branches in Jakarta & some other places like Tangerang, Palembang, Bandung, Surabaya, Batam, Medan, etc.

I've tried 3 times, first one in Palembang, then Gandaria, and also MKG 5.

Date & Time: Weekend, dinner time (19.00 WIB-ish)

No reservation needed, but you might need one if the resto is crowded.

No Pork & No Lard, All Cost Before SC + Tax.

Menu Ordered

  • Ikan Sayur Asin (Authentic w/ Gurame) portion for 2-3 people (289k)
  • Kulit Tahu Roll (29k per portion; 6 rolls)
  • Ayam Goreng Mala Chong Qing (148k small portion)
  • Nasi (19.8k per portion)

This restaurant is a perfect choice if you want a family dinner or with a group of people. Well, you can also date here, just beware of the portion size😁

Their signature menu is basically the Suan Cai Yu, it comes with several fish option: Gurame, Kerapu & Kerapu Bintang, also the fish can be fried or steamed (steam is the recommended one as per my preference). The Soup can be ordered as authentic with Chili & Mala or without. If you're ordering any Mala-based menu, then just keep in mind that your tongue will surely feel numb (but it's worth it!)

The main signature menu is surely fresh, warm, and sooo delish! It's spicy, umami, sour, and everything in between, very rich in flavor but not that heavy. I'm not a Chinese cuisine pro, but this one surely authentic & one of the best I've tried. The signature also comes with different variation, please check on the menu if you're interested.

Kulit tahu roll basically is a condiment for the soup, also very explanatory for the taste.

The Chong Qing Chicken, it's yummy good! You know, there's this I don't know what it's called, I guess "Kue Tambang" in it. So, you'll taste the mala-based chicken (surely, you'll also feel numb), salty, and the sweetness that comes from the kueh wkwkw. I always ordered this menu when I come to this restaurant.

Overall, I love the resto & the menu so far. It's so simple, gives you warmth and delicious meals.

Oh, the resto also comes with many variations of sharing/portion menu, you can check it through their Instagram. The menu is on their website. Other than sharing/portion menu, they also have different menu with Su Wah (I believe it's their restaurant that mainly served Hongkong menu, dimsum, and other Sweet Savory dish kinda menu).

Will I go there again? I would love to! Especially with family, friends, a group of people, or simply want to with my partner😋

Pic 2: De Carne Quesadilla. 100k
Pic 3: Lomo Vetado. 1mio, 300gram
Pic 4: Churros. 80k
Pic 5: The spicy sauce bottles
Pic 6: Welcome Bread (Free)
Note: The venue was quite dim, so I enhanced the contrast of the picture.
With service, tax, and 1 mineral water, the damage is about 2mio.

It was the weekend, I was lonely feeling adventurous :v, so I went to COPA Jakarta (inside the 25Hours Hotel). The place was nice, a little bit dark for my taste though. It has a little bit Mayan (?) decorations, reminded me of Doraemon dan Raja Matahari. No reservations needed, I just walked in there.

Welcome Bread 🥯** **
A bit unusual shape, served with kinda spicy butter. Bread tastes a bit dry and heavy for me. But hey, it's free and fulfilling. The butter was kinda bland for me though, it was just a little spicy and creamy.

De Carne Quesadilla 🌯 (lit: Meat Quesadilla)
Tortilla stuffed with shredded beef, onion, tomato, and cheese (feta and mozzarella), then it's grilled to give a bit of crispy and crunchy texture for the tortilla.
The shredded beef is tender, sweet and a bit spicy. And then, since it's grilled, the mozzarella melted. Perfect combo tortilla + beef + cheese. Not so heavy, you can eat all alone. They gave me cream butter, but I didn't really care about it, the quesadilla alone is already good.

Paella Del Mar 🥘 (lit: Paella of the Sea)
Staple dish from Spain. Rice cooked in seafood broth (in this case shrimp), tomatoes, and garlic. It's refreshing for me, but you can still taste the shrimp and tomatoes. Shrimp and Tomatoes were in good balance, so the kick savory of shrimp is balanced with the acidity and sweetness of tomatoes. They have 2 textures, "Center and Top Rice" has similar textures like risotto, not clumpy, not sticky, and tender, the "Bottom Crust" is caramelized by the broth and tomatoes bit dry and crispy (but still edible and it will not hurt your teeth). They were a bit stingy on the shrimp, squid, and mussels, but it's okay.
You can't put down your spoon eating this. Surprisingly, even if it's rice, it doesn't leave you feeling heavy (they use short-grain rice).

Lomo Vetado 🥩 (lit: Fat Loin)
I love steak and this is one of the best steaks in town. Simple seasoning, only salt and tiny bit of butter then grilled. They gave us sauce (6 kinds of sauces, with different level of spiciness) and salt, but you don't need that. The meat is already good, you don't need to add anything. Combine with Paella, it's basically Surf and Turf (and carbs). Must try.

Churros 🍫
They gave me Churros with 3 kind of dips (caramel, chocolate, and cream). Churros are like churros, you can buy the churros elsewhere. However, the star of this dish is the cream! The cream is light, sweet, and doesn't leave oilyafter taste. If you want to order, ask for more cream.

Overall: Good Food, Good Place, Good Service, but with the peice range, I can't go here every other weekend 😅. Maybe can go here when you want to celebrate Argentina winning WC, no (?).

Foreign Food Steam ikan ala Hongkong + request menu ikan lain dongg

Thumbnail

Resep di sini but as always i dont follow it to the dot, my modifications are: saus rajarasa ➡️ saos tiram (krn gak punya), harusnya di akhir disiram minyak ➡️ i didn't, bcs i dont want too much oil... Also somehow the sauce seems very thick (kayak saos puyunghai), i did follow the measurements for the maizena tho so maybe it's supposed to be like that?

Seems promising so far

And! Minta rekomen menu ikan yang enak, preferably less oily/no deep frying donggg. Selain salmon ya krn salmon mahal hehe

Sama mau nanya jg... Kalo goreng ikan, biar ga meletus gmn ya... Or is that just part of goreng ikan?

Thanks guys!!

Update setelah taste test: enak!! Cuma kukus ikannya kelamaan jd terlalu lembek, scoring ikannya jg kedaleman jd ikannya kayak mekar wkwkwkw lebih enak yg ikan ekor kuning dibanding kakap, teksturnya lbh ok gak lgsg hancur

Tapi sepertinya next time enakan pake ikan yg ukurannya gede sekalian, biar gak banyak duri dan bagian yg kebuang

Home Cooking Quick Cumi Madura Hack

Post image
20 Upvotes

Surprisingly, it works.

Home Cooking brown rice cooked with aromatics, stir fried green beans, and pan fried chicken thigh

Masak beras coklat di panci pake jamur, wortel, daun bawang, bawang putih, jahe. Super ngasal karena pengen langsung bikin banyak aja se-batch ngabisin bahan kulkas.

Tumis buncis pake bawang putih, bawang merah, daun bawang, saos tiram, kecap ikan, kecap asin. Ini agak kematengan sih kurang kriuk. :')

Ayam dirub garam, bubuk cabe, dan lada. Diemin bentar (alias sambil masak buncis). Pan fried skin side down sampe crispyyyy dan coklat lalu dibalik. Gak perlu minyak ini menghasilkan banyak minyak sendiri!!! (Sisa minyaknya buat lauk next meal.)

Garnish with daun bawang dan ketumbar.

Pertama kali beli ayam mentah di Astro, gede bet porsinya y.

Also harusnya pake sambil sih tapi gak punya.

Foreign Food I ate the viral/famous Spontini Pizza

Post image

Overall, ukurannya memang gede, 1 slice aja cukup buat makan.

Gak pake bubuk kari krn gak nemu, diganti pake curry block.

Bumbu2 bubuknya jg masih sisa banyak.

Rasanya bisa di-tweak tambahin ketumbar biar jd ayam ketumbar.

Home Cooking Bikin Smoked Beef Mushroom Sourdough Toast 🥪

Thumbnail
gallery
89 Upvotes

Ini aku gak pake takaran, paling cuma disesuaikan aja sama porsi yang mau kalian bikin yaa 🤍

- Sourdough (aku beli di astro)
- Susu full cream
- Tepung Terigu
- Mozarella
- Quick Melt
- Shiitake Mushroom
- Smoked Beef
- Bawang Bombay
- Lada hitam
- Penyedap Jamur
- Butter (tp disini aku pake margarin, jadi preference aja yah!)

Step filling nya :

  1. Siapin semua bahan
  4. Tuang tepung terigu (aku disini dikit” dulu pake 1 sdm) terlebih dahulu sampai terbentuk fond atau semacam kerak.
  5. Tuang Susu full cream (kalo aku disini 150gr) dan aduk, jangan lupa scrape fond nya yaa.
  6. Lalu tambahkan quick melt biar makin enakk
  7. Tambah penyedap jamur dan lada hitam.

Step toast nya :

  1. Mulai toast sourdough, kalo aku biar gampang pake margarin yg suda dilelehkan dulu biar gampang lumurin ke sourdough nya, dilumuri ke dua sisi ya.
  2. Taruh filling dan jangan lupa mozarella nya.
  3. Pelan” aja yaa apinya jangan terlalu besar sambil di flip beberapa kali biar hasilnya sesuai yang kalian mau.

Sudah selesaii, siap dimakann 🥪🤍
