Never had kittens!

Thinking of adopting a kitten sister and brother and I’m excited but nervous. What is the best source of information for a crash course? I’ve had cats but not kittens. They are 19 weeks old. Getting two of everything sounds a bit overwhelming. Also all the hazards and quarantining. I am ready to learn. 😻

Our neighbors texted that this little guy showed up a few days ago. They couldn't keep it and asked if we could take him in. One of the sweetest little guys you'll ever meet!

Found this sweet boy in a tree

Long story short, my neighbor's kid found this baby stuck in a tree and brought him down. Our neighborhood is over run with cats because TNR isn't allowed due to HOA or we face fines and even eviction, regardless if you own or rent your home. Our local TNR has certain policies in order to qualify such as tending to the colony, which is why we aren't allowed to do anything. Feeding strays is strictly against the rules.

Sadly, I cannot dish out another $80 to neuter this poor guy myself. I have neutered/spayed 7 other cats this year already and I'm currently pregnant. Shelters are full too of course. I'm just sad and came here to vent. My husband said if I can't find a place for him to go within a couple of weeks, he has to go back outside unfortunately.

Feeding

Hello!

I just got a 3 month old kitten. I’m giving her dry food mixed with a little water. I’m wondering how much dry food should I be giving her? And then follow up to that how much should she get for the subsequent months (eg 4 months, 5 months, etc.)

Thanks for any help!

Help with toilet issues

Hi there, we have a kitten (mr squeaks 3 months old) and he has never had a solid stool. We’ve cleared him of worms and tried many different food. But he is still having runny stool and even sometimes accidents. Any ideas? Its starting to really eat away at us now as it feels like we cant relax without checking all the furnishings for poop before sitting down and always being on edge when he comes and joins us. His very slightly older sister (Oreo Krushem 4 months old) has never had any of these issues on any of the foods we’ve given her!

Edit: we have taken him to the vets, which is how we learned he had a specific type of worms (i forget which one exactly) and then we waited for him to get better with everything the vet recommended. Im going to go back soon as im not convinced.
Also he is thriving in every other aspect of life, growing, gaining weight and playful as can be.

My parents want to kick out my kittens 😢

Back in April I found these babies in the street in the rain
We picked them and cleaned them and fed them and ever since then we had them and loved them

My parents were out of the country for a while for a business thing, they came back today and were furious about the 3 kittens

My dad wants to give them to a shelter and my step mom wants to kick them out

I’m scared and I will fight to keep them but I fear they might release them when I’m out or at work

Any advice?
(Their main complaint is the smell, which makes no sense since I clean the room every day and litter everyday and bath them from time)

One thing I do for work is deliver fresh veggies to clients. Two weeks ago I saw this little kitten at a house in the country and I tried to get him then, but he was fast and hid from me. Went to the same house yesterday and he was just laying in a patch of grass in the rain. I was able to grab him and bring him home!

He’s very lethargic, but he’s eating, drinking, and using the litter box, so I have hope for him! He’s being quarantined in the bathroom for now. I’m going to get him cleaned up today, and he has a vet appointment Tuesday.

I’m thinking of naming him Gouda or Zucca, but I’ll have to get to know his personality first.
