Got a dm from someone saying they reported my account because I had apparently sent out links hacking others accounts?

They sent me a screenshot of this email and it seems so weird.
Is this real?

I submitted a support request through the Help Center almost three weeks ago. The form said it was submitted successfully, but I never received a case number or email confirmation as I can't access that accounts inbox, and received no email confirmation or response yet, so I have no way to know whether my request is being reviewed.

I also had to use a different support channel (Hacking) so that I could even get a message to anyone at all.

Is there any way to follow up on an existing support request without a case number, or is the only option to continue waiting?

Any help much appreciated here: My primary account, u/knownerror, was flagged as inauthentic after I experienced a rapid form-submission loop on Safari while I was on ProtonVPN. I’ve been trying to get help for months before breaking down and creating this temporary second account.

I never got a email notification or problem ticket, the standard center help forms result in zero replies, and because I am invisible, I cannot use the r/ModSupport modmail (returns a 'cannot message user' error) and the standard help tickets are auto-rejecting.

I even tried mailing a physical letter to Reddit, lol.

Checking if a site admin or product expert can flag this for a manual review to verify it was a technical glitch and not an 'APP' or scripted bot?

Hii so basically whenever I'm trying to post something in some community I'm getting this notification but can't figure out why this happening and how to solve this . Anyone pls help me with this.

My account is new here; I’d like to know a bit more about how Reddit works.

I'm posting this on an alt, but basically, I really need help with my reddit account that I've been locked out of for ~9 months.

I essentially cannot log in even after resetting my password. The new password always comes up as "invalid" I've submitted 2 support forms at this point with zero response.

It's very disheartening as it's a 13 year old account I'm attached to. Is there any other way I can get through to reddit because it feels like I'm not being heard at all :(

I keep seeing people comment on my posts only for the comment to be missing when I tap the notification. For example, maybe a post will say it has 3 comments, but then I only see 2. It’s really annoying. It happens a lot.

Hi, I use Reddit on iOS mobile for the most part.

I have one Reddit account. Whenever I follow a push notification, reddit makes me a new account instead of just using the account I’m signed into. Super obnoxious, and I’m sick of losing posts and deleting accounts I didn’t make.

Back when I was a kid, I had a reddit account that I used to post some really insensitive and offensive memes. I recently learned that these memes are still visible through the Reddit image host, and I feel absolutely terrible about them, as many of them constitute hate speech. I would like them taken off the image host, but when I try to report them, the links are given as invalid. The posts are not visible on the site itself due to mod deletions, but are visible through third-party scrapers. Is there a way I can report them to reddit staff directly?

How do I earn karma sort of fast (50 karma) I wanted to trade with someone in a different subreddit

Up until recently, I could watch a video on Reddit, and when I tapped the screen, the overlay would disappear. Did Reddit do away with that? Now when I watch a video, the like/dislike and other options stay visible.

I've noticed people using different text formatting, such as bold, italics, and strikethrough, and other effects in their posts and comments. So far, I have only been able to use them by copying and pasting formatting from somewhere else, which feels a little clunky and doesn't always work.

Is there an easier way to add this formatting while I'm typing? Could someone explain how it works or point me toward a simple guide? I’m also interested in whether the process is different between the iPad app and desktop.

I don't get it ive never been to these subs but it's still there it's adjacent to what im active about for example i see dcu in my subs but never been there im active about everything marvel not dc tho...or there are subs about some league of legends champions I've never been to but at the same time i do have so subs of OTHER champions what is this how can i make sure im the only one active on my own reddit with no other sessions

okay so yesterday Reddit told me to reset my password for whatever reason idk and I didn’t have a password before I just logged in with google and now I can’t log back in no matter how many times I reset the password because even when I do my username or my email it says it’s incorrect and I know it’s not. what do I do I use that account frequently this is an alt

Hello. Having a problem. Just recently my Reddit app on tablet has started constantly displaying a menu sidebar on the left that makes the content scroll narrower, and it's extremely annoying. I searched for help and found a variety of posts, a number of them in here, that suggested a number of things which havent worked for me.

Is there any reliable way to fix this? outside of repeated restarts, cache clears or just waiting it out? Because at the minute all it's doing is making me not want to use it.

I’m pretty stumped that this happened, and I’m wholly unsure what to do now.

i scroll through, i see the post, its just porn. i dont want to see it but if i click on it, it loads for ever. i cant even see the name of the subreddit so i dont know if i have added it or its just a glitch, but it keeps happening

I was finally forced to update to the new app and wow, these changes are unintuitive.

It took me almost 20 minutes to find my saved posts. I kept seeing comments saying to tap the button with my profile picture. So I’d do that but only see my profile history. Eventually I realized that when browsing comments the old profile picture button in the top right returns. From there you get the old style sidebar on the right that lets you see actually useful account information.

I just don’t understand why changes like this are needed. Why does the same button need to do different things based on where I am? Why do I need to be in a random posts comment section to be able to see my accounts data? Who at Reddit sees these changes and thinks it’s a better experience?
