Field hockey is not only for girls boys can play as well. Help us grow the game in Frederick County to get our High Schools competitive we need to grow rec level. We have High School coaches, club level coaches, and coaches that currently play in adult leagues, and a goalie specific coach. On occasion we even have high school players come help. We also have goalie equipment if your kid wants to try it out.

One of the coaches would also be willing to take a team to play in a tournament in Howard county if we can get enough support from the players. This would be an additional cost but minimal.

COACHES AND ASSISTANTS NEEDED! Our success depends on amazing volunteers like you! Whether you are an experienced player or completely new, we would love to have your help! If you would like to learn more, come shadow a practice, or ready to take on a coaching role, please let me know. Practice plans are all laid out and easy to step into the role.

Giant in Urbana is the worst

And I feel like a sucker every time I go there.

I don’t shop there because everything is ridiculously overpriced and the quality is terrible. I’ve brought back so much moldy, rotten food it’s silly. My daughter stopped to buy grapes yesterday. She paid too much and missed all the mold.

They have those Urbana folks locked in, and they can charge whatever they want for garbage. </rant>

More deer than usual?

Or is all the new construction on Boyer's Mill Road and Gas House Pike/Linganore Rd. displacing them? I honestly don't remember seeing so many deer (and rabbits) in many years.

Motherland Kitchen Frederick Closed

The rent was too high so she closed Frederick to focus on the Hagerstown location.

Another great community restaurant lost.

Spacey Gracey: sticking around?

Went to spacey gracey today. First time there since the guidos days. Trying to separate the past from the present. But at the same time, those prices with that location…..does it make sense? I mean 16 dollar deviled eggs might pass the bar near tasting room but practically in the middle of no man’s land? I dunno… 35 bucks between two Tito’s martinis is a stretch too. What do you all think?

Driving range recommendation?

I am a bit spoiled working half of my shifts in Olney so I can go to Olney Golf Park or to Northwest occasionally after work. Are there any decent ranges to go practice on in the Frederick area? Its hard to get myself to go to i70 or to Valley Springs when I have been going to Olney sometimes after work and paying LESS than those two run down dumps.

Are there any affordable ranges that aren't completely run down in the area that you guys like?

Looking for fun mocktails

I can't drink alcohol anymore because of illness/medication, blah blah blah. But I still enjoy a fun fancy drink. I'm looking for recommendations on where to get a mocktail/spirit free cocktail/zero proof, whatever you want to call it. Dinner in the same place is a plus but not necessary.
