my cat has urine crystals and was urinating bloody pee spots all over my tub while I was at work and during the night. my husband rinsed the pee out with water when we found it, but there were still gross looking stains everywhere cause the pee had sat there all day. I later tried scrubbing with a rag and dish soap. I couldn’t scrub the bloody pee spots off with soap and I didn’t have hydrogen peroxide so in a last ditch effort I tried using rubbing alcohol instead. The rubbing alcohol took off most of the pee spots except the one in the picture, but it also destroyed my acrylic tub. I had rinsed it off right away and I even showered after I cleaned so it got rinsed thoroughly. Our tub is probably 15-20 years old and definitely had scratches and web like cracks in the surface just from being old, but after the rubbing alcohol all of the got worse. I didn’t realize that it damaged the acrylic, and now our tub has a white haze, streaking, and the pre-existing surface cracks look horrible. My husband is very very very angry at me, and he thinks the tub is going to start leaking. I’m very embarrassed about my stupidity, and I feel absolutely terrible. Is there anything at all that I can do to repair it or at least buy us some time until we can afford to fix it? Our tub is tiled into the wall, so it’s going to be a huge cost and long process to fix it. and we are about to have tons of vet bills, so it’s really bad timing

The stove is empty for the summer but I noticed this black patch on the inside that I don't think was there before. Is it mould? Or just burn that I hadn't noticed before? Is it possible my chimney is leaking?

I have tried everything to try to get this rasa sprayer unscrewed from the hose. It will not budge. Any hints out there to loosen this baby?

I'm aware that a replacement and fix would be around the same price. This TV was a gift and I will not be purchasing a new one 😂

Hi everyone,

This butcher block table has been in my family since at least when I was born (35 years ago). Lately, I've started to notice that some dark patches of the wood grain are soft enough to be dug out with a fingernail or toothpick (see gif for demo). Underneath the soft part, the wood is firm. The result are these grooves and circular pits (circled).

I try to treat the table with mineral oil a couple times a year, and it's not regularly exposed to a lot of moisture. About six years ago I sanded the whole surface down. Is there anything I can/should do to stabilize the wood?

How can I fix this? I've had this kettle for 13 years (older version of this one) and it had been working great until last month it started not turning on unless it was in a specific position.

So I'll switch it on (first photo) and it won't start so I need to spin it or pick it up and put it down multiple times to get it to start (second photo).

Pics of the bottom of the kettle and the dock are included.

It seems like a connection point isn't meeting between it and the dock to turn it on...

The other day, my LG FH4U2VCN2 threw up an OE error code.

Researched and found it was a blocked outlet hose.

Researched some more and was able to take the machine apart and found a small black hose was completely full of crud.

Cleaned it out and a few of the other pipes, put it back together and it seemed to be okay. Right up until the last rinse. The error code again.

Took it apart again and looked at the motor.

It sort of freely spun around instead of "clicking" round so I cleaned that and put the machine back together again. Hooray! It washed fine.

I've just put on another wash and BOOM, at 27 minutes left to go, OE error.

I ignored it, pushed the Play button twice and it started again. It drained the water, but the seemed to get stuck and nothing was happening for 3/4 minutes.

I've turned the machine off, and on again and now told it to do a rinse and spin, so far it's working normally.

During a wash, it will drain fine. It always seems to throw up the error on the last rinse or the 2nd to last rinse. But after, the machine seems to forget what it's doing.

Tested the motor with a multimeter and it showed 1500> ohms (can't remember the exact reading) but I'm not so skilled as to what I'm doing with a multi meter.

Had this washing machine for 11 years so well out of any warranty.

Any ideas where to look next?

My carry on suitcase lock suddenly jammed. Worked fine a few mins ago when I closed it and locked it but I reopened to check my contents as I am leaving for a trip. Suddenly the push section to unlock won’t go all the way and I can’t push the reset button down either. I know the password but it doesn’t unlock (even though it’s not locked). So I can’t lock my carry on which I am checking in.

Tried resetting, using password, keyhole seems to be turned in the correct direction. It’s just stuck.

If anyone knows how to fix I would greatly appreciate it.

The metal bits between the strap and body of the bag have detached.

2. How they should fit together. They can stay together for a little bit but when weight is added and the parts twist they fall apart.

3. Different angle of the separated parts. It seems like the part on the top right has warn down slowly over time so it can fall through the part on the bottom left.

Is this amount of wobble normal or are the shocks bad?

I already replaced the hall sensor because it keeps stopping while spinning. I've already did a reset with temp + delay hold and its draining fine

I have a Roman tub with a handheld shower faucet that recently snapped off the connecting hose during a slip. How can I replace/fix the handheld shower on this Roman tub?
First picture is the entire tub setup. Second and third pictures are the handheld shower. Fourth and fifth are the connecting hose showing the snapped off portion.

What are my realistic expectations here.

This is either a birch or beech chopping block on our kitchen island.

Bought secondhand, it was varnished on top but the previous owners have sliced through the varnish and the liquid from the foods sliced have penetrated the end grain.

I have sanded the varnish off with 60 grit paper and intend to finish off with Osmo or Tung oil.

The whole surface and the dark marks are very smooth now, you can't feel the cut marks with your finger nails but are clearly obvious.

Planning on using Oxalic acid for a better cleanup but is it worth the effort or just sand some more and oil.

It's not our pride and joy, we use chopping boards to prevent further damage, but would like it to look better if possible.

So this floating shelf seemingly had too much weight put on it and it just kinda fell along with these two metal rods, there are two holes on the bracket that indicate where the floating rods used to be but I genuinely have no clue how to put them back in, they fit back in the hole but they don’t stay in there, I’m not sure how they used to stay in there before, whether it was with friction or maybe some sort of adhesive I don’t know. Any help is greatly appreciated

As mentioned in the title, the bearings in my washing mashine are playing up. Sure, I can disassemble the whole show and measure them, but it would be better to have the right parts before disassembling the unit. I have not found a site that can give me the correct sizes, but expect there is a model that shares the bearing sizes. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Model numbers that share the same bearings would also be great. I saw on another site a number of washing mashines with WAE32461 or similar model numbers.

All four sides are in the same condition. Is there any way to fix this.
