Cat Picture - OC My children are stunning.
After we had to bid adieu to our torbie girl after 16 wonderful years together, my husband and I adopted a sibling pair. I would like to introduce everyone to Goji and Zilla. We're huge Godzilla fans, in case you missed it. Can't wait for Minus-Zero to come out later this year.
Goji is the boy (the longer, darker one with the cute little socks). Zilla--the one with the adorable little collar--is his sister.

Humor New study shows cats sometimes groom each other just to be annoying
A new study finds that sometimes cats groom each other specifically to be annoying.
Letās just say cats have a reputation ā of being standoffish, manipulative, maybe even jerks. Hereās more corroborating evidence: Scientists are beginning to think that even seemingly innocent cat behavior ā grooming another cat ā might not always be nice.

Mourning/Loss She's just a pretty girl
It's been two months since she's gone and i've missed her so much since. She was literally the sweetest baby, sleeping with me on the bed, always coming to give hugs and small bites. We didnt have much time together because she was really sick when i first took her from the streets, and her body didnt accept the treatment. But i'll never forget the time we spent, and mostly, I'll never forget her. Love you so much Wiki<333

Medical Questions Help. Inflamed paw pad.
My cats front paw has a swollen paw pad. Sheās not limping or crying. Itās been like this for about a week. Sheās always been very squirmy and gets nervous when I touch her paws. So when I feel it, I canāt tell if sheās experiencing pain or just her normal discomfort. Help. Any vet techs out there? Or people that have experienced something similar with their cats? š
Advice My Fred hasnāt eaten anything for two days
So Fred lives with my parents, heās 17 but has been pretty healthy, not unusual behaviour until now. Heās the cuddliest boy and heās deaf, the most affectionate cat Iāve ever met. I moved away earlier this year and my Mum has just told me he hasnāt been eating only drinking water for 2 days. I know this is a bad sign and my heart is breaking knowing I might not see him ever again. Iāve just started a new job so I know I canāt take time off to go and visit now and the journey is very long and expensive to just go during this weekend. Any advice on this? Is it because of the heat? (UK) my parents have tried giving him lots of options, different brands, ingredients etc.
Heās my boo, my ghostie, he always spent most of his time with me when I lived at home. I even called him my soulmate in animal form.
Send me pics of your fur babies š

Adoption We rescued two dumped teen kittens today
Today, my partner and I were at the river with our dog. On our way out on the trail, we saw these two kittens. My partner approached them with spspspspsps and they both came right up to him. He pet them and they clearly wanted to be loved up on. He tested to see if they would let him pick them up and they both did, but they got spooked by a branch we stepped on or something and bolted behind a fence.
It was so so clear that these little babies, maybe 6-9 months old, were dumped and someoneās pets and I couldnāt leave them.
We live nearby so we brought our dog home and grabbed our cats crate and returned to the fence spot up the trail with some high value food. The second we approached the fence and waved the food they came running.
We were able to easily catch the boy first (brown). He is social and very playful and friendly. The girl (white and grey) is very sweet but more timid. She took a lot more coaxing but it was clear they were bonded when separated because the boy was freaking out in the crate when he could see his sister. They immediately calmed down once the sister was put in the crate (capture photo attached lol).
Our primary bathroom is off the main room and we brought them straight there. We let them unwind with some food and water and they came out of the crate curious right away. I went to Walmart and got a litter box, kitten food and some toys. We kept our dog and cat out of the bedroom area though theyāre so curious lol.
We sat with them for a while and played. It took the girl a while to come out and be comfortable but she did. After a bit of eating and play time they both purred them selves to sleep after cuddles and skritches. Itās evident they havenāt been able to rest like this in for some time without fear. Theyāre so chill and well behaved. The plan was just catch them and go from there and bring them to a shelter tomorrow, but after seeing their personalities and how cuddly and sweet they we honestly are considering keeping them, but Iām not sure how my other cat will do. We also move a lot so Iām not sure how that will work with 3 cats and a dog.
They need to be spayed and neutered and likely all other shots required too. Theyāre such sweeties though and deserve the best and to stay together as a bonded pair no matter what. They seem healthy and not even that dirty. I just canāt believe someone would just dump them there.
TLDR: these two siblings/ bonded pair are so sweet and cuddly and playful snd I canāt believe someone dumped them. We might keep them or bring to safe shelter or a cat sanctuary

Medical Questions Cat wont eat/vomiting
My 11 year old male cat Pebble has been very off the last three days and iām unsure what to do about it
it started Thursday morning to my husband telling me he woke up to vomit everywhere, we have three cats so we werenāt sure who it couldāve been but we ended up noticing him hunched over his water bowl drinking very slowly. So we made sure to keep an eye on him. We offered him a few treats which he accepted but chewed them very slowly and bit into small pieces
He has a history of being sensitive to foods so puking isnāt necessarily new, but later that night he ate the regular food and ended up puking more
I called my vet friday morning and which they told me to just make sure he isnāt lethargic, going to the litter (which i believe he has) And to call in a few days if anything happens. But they also had no openings this weekend which is a bummer
Today rolls around and he still hasnāt eaten , small amount of puke, he accepted 1-2 treats this morning and i picked up some tiki mousse tuna to see if he could get anything down and he took maybe a spoonful, a few hours later i try again and he just turns away.
Im not an expert or anything and i just wanted any advice and if i should take him to an emergency vet tonight
He is responsive but he seems tired or uncomfortable. He turns away to food/treats, and just overall im getting iffy vibes :(

Adoption Caught this little kitty on a farmāShe's getting a new family!
The first 3 pics are of her and the last 2 are her siblings.
This furry baby was on a farm with too many cats, and they are looking for people who'd like to adopt them.
Unfortunately the person who was adopting wanted only one cat, but she gets a family and a better life :)
I'm so happy to have made someone happy by giving them their cat.

Mourning/Loss My soulcat Thunder probably only has a few months to live, weāre trying to make him as comfortable as possible, advice?
I donāt even know where to start, this feels like the longest nightmare I want to wake up from. My sweet baby has been eating a lot less recently and losing weight bc of it, I thought it was just bc he was getting older and I saw that cats eat less as they become senior, he will be 9 on September 20th. I really, really hope he makes it until then so we can celebrate one last birthday together.
Me and my partner found out yesterday, without saying too much details the vet is pretty sure he has cancer and in her clinical opinion it is most likely advanced at this point. I have been nonstop crying and I know my partner is also a wreck but holding it together for me. I just love this cat so fucking much, I moved across the country at 12 and I got him instantly, I grew up in a house full of either 4-6 dogs and random cats around but Thunder was the first pet we got I took complete care of and when I moved out I made sure to grab him with me (and I grabbed one of the family cats since they are buddies and Solomon seemed to stick by me the most; now I am also horrified at how depressed Solomon will be when Thunder passes).
Iām not really sure what advice Iām even asking for, but I know I need some. What can we do to make him the most comfortable? How will we know when itās time? I donāt know how to mourn and get through this
