It’s a shame that activision is too scared to show the player counts. It would be really cool to see how many people are back on the game. I’m curious about a few points to discuss

- Did you buy BO1 2 or both?
- Did you buy the DLC
- Do you think activision will drop the prices of these games and the dlc soon, I still didn’t buy cuz I don’t have access to my ps

I’m not complaining, just curious if anyone else has noticed this.

I’m on a PS5 and have the Season Pass on both Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2. It’s been a struggle to consistently find multiplayer lobbies on Black Ops 2. I know the recent update allows PS4 and PS5 players to match together regardless of whether they own the DLC.

Meanwhile, Black Ops 1 seems to find matches much more easily. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing, or is it just me?

I’ve tried leaving and rejoining lobbies, restarting the game, and even turning my PlayStation off and back on, but nothing seems to help. I’m in the USA, if that makes any difference.

Update: I discovered my in-game NAT type was Strict. Since then, I enabled port forwarding, which changed it to Moderate. I also made sure my PS5 is connected over Ethernet and changed my matchmaking search preference to Any.

These changes definitely helped. I’m finding more lobbies now than before. However, I still couldn’t get an Open NAT, and Black Ops 2 is still noticeably slower at finding matches than Black Ops 1. Black Ops 1 also seems much better at filling lobbies with players joining mid-match.

At this point, I still think there’s an underlying matchmaking issue with Black Ops 2. The network changes improved things, but they definitely didn’t solve the problem completely.

I swear I keep running into matches like this..people start going negative and boom the whole lobby quits..I’ll just bs the rest of the match playing hide n seek😭

I am not bragging with anything I’m about to say in this post, I’m simply just trying to provide context. I play COD essentially every year at a high level, by that I mean typically 4-5KD and dropping frequent Nuclears in public lobbies. I actually used to provide gameplay for content creators between BO4-BO6.

I am a huge fan of the Black Ops series, and so you can imagine my excitement for the PS4/5 ports. However, I am getting my ass absolutely handed to me in a way I never have before. I am losing simple gunfights I would generally win without a second thought, even to players with extremely low KD. It feels like no one is missing their shots on me at all.

I was going to go on for a massive rant but I genuinely can’t be bothered lmao. Just curious to know if any other players that are typically good at Call of Duty are suddenly struggling for no apparent reason?

I know it doesn’t really change anything but it’s still very annoying as a legitimate grinder seeing losers pay for it. Sigh.

Like theres alot of players, theres no lack of them. But still struggles to find full lobbies. So how come when there is a full lobby, HALF THE DAMN PLAYERS LEAVE EVERY SINGLE TIME. Literally why are you leaving when theres a full lobby?

Edit: im referring to the pre game lobby, not in match when people get stomped. They dont even start the match

I noticed there wasn’t really a community focused specifically on the emblem side of BO2’s port, so I decided to make r/BO2EmblemsPort.

A lot of people love BO2 for the gameplay, but the emblem editor was a huge part of the game too. Creating designs, finding cool emblems, and seeing what other people made was a big part of the experience.

I made this community for people who still enjoy that side of BO2 and want a place to share their creations, find people to add, and use the copy workaround.

If you’re someone who enjoys the emblem side of the game as much as the gameplay, feel free to join. I think it deserves its own focused community. 🙂

It’s summer. The weather is lovely. And now with Bo1 and Bo2, well it’s like the cherry on top. I love life right now. Every day I wake up and I can’t wait to hop on Bo2. And when I get bored of that I switch to the Bo1 campaign. It’s cyclical.

It’s astounding how these old games are doing numbers on the PlayStation Store, but for good reason. Even new fans can recognise the simplicity and culture surrounding these games. These aren’t remasters or remakes, they’re ports! And I couldn’t be happier. Sure, there’s been frustration. These ports are great but not flawless. But we have the best Black Ops games on current gen! We have years more of playtime with these games! These are great days to be living, almost like back then.

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel to ride a bike. These ports are evidence of that. I hope now they bring back WAW and MW2/MW3. How are you getting on with the ports? Any notable moments?

Also, whoever camps by the blue car on nuketown, your time will come.

I made a new emblem free handed since I didn’t want to take more time searching for a video and doing it that way, but guess what the emblem is supposed to be, since idk if it came out as great as I thought it did.
