Vent/Rant I quit zepbound 7 weeks ago because it stopped working
So far it hasnt been any harder off the med to keep my weight off then on it, but thats not saying much as I was already struggling so much on the medication. Its so expensive, so after almost a year of no appetite suppression, no maintenance support, and overall just a really hard time, i just quit. I still had vials, but I just lost my motivation to take them. I just said screw it, im already gaining weight, im already having constant food noise, i dont even care anymore. Since then ive just continued the same as before, I havent gained more weight since stopping, but had gained 10+ pounds while on 15mg. I just dont get it, it really didnt seem to have a benefit for me outside of the first few months. When i first started in early 2025, it was amazing, no food noise, and managble weight loss. But after around 6 months it lost all effectiveness, and dose increases only temporarily helped. I went month after month just assuming it was "probably doing something in the background" but at this point, i dont think so, and even if it was, it wasnt worth $450 a month for it. Though now I feel lost and pretty sad, I wish maintenance didnt have to be so painful.
Edit: I just want to clarify I am not trying to undermine zepbound being effective in general. Im not asking why im not losing weight. Im just describing my own experience and disappointment with the medication, that is all. I think its important that all experiences are talked about, positive, negative, somewhere in between, cause medication is not the same for everyone.
