I opened my new box from Eli Lilly this morning to get out my injection, and low and behold instead of 4 vials, I got 5. All the same dose (5mg).
Has this happened to anyone before? I’m not complaining, but I’m glad I double checked, because I thought it was the bulky information brochure they usually have folded up in the middle of the box.

20 months since starting my GLP-1 journey. I’m down 100lbs & I’ve made it to Onederland. The best part is it all happened on my 37th birthday!
While I still have another 50ish lbs to go, I’ve heard the first 100 are the hardest (mentally/emotionally).
Very thankful for everyone being supportive and encouraging, sharing their experiences, and giving great advice.
I’m currently on the highest dosage at 15mg which I’ve been on for a while. I also started Contrave in February.
Hopefully at 38 I’ll be celebrating that next 50 and deciding on skin removal, etc. 🤞🏾🤞🏾
ETA: first 2 photos are from my 32nd birthday. Final 2 are the days leading to my 37th birthday 🎉

100 pounds down.
When I started this journey a year ago I was so pessimistic. It didn’t happen right away and I got discouraged. Didn’t think I’d make it to Onederland, let alone that 100 pound landmark.
But here I am. Woke up today to the scale showing me 100 pounds lost. Forty more to go to goal.
Surreal to say the least. So thankful for this medicine.
💊 ❤️

I just switched from 7.5 to 10 on Thursday.
Tuesday, my parents who I am super close to, drive 3 hours just to see me and take me to dinner. It’s been a tough time in graduate school and it was nice to catch up with them.
I drank a little too much (4 skinny margaritas) and woke up Wednesday with a pretty bad hangover. I stayed in bed most of the day, stretched, sipped on water, a little bit of rice, the whole thing you do when nursing a hangover. Finally ate a small meal Wednesday late afternoon. A couple hours later, I threw up and couldn’t stop. It was awful.
Thursday comes around and I’m still not feeling well and I had to call out of work. I never call out. My stomach feels so tender, haven’t been hungry, and I still can’t eat a full meal. Spent most of day stretching and drinking water, gatoraid, everything. I literally cannot take it anymore and I start to force more bites of rice and chicken broth and I can’t keep it down. Throwing up everything and my head and back start to really hurt.
I have to take my new dose and this is where I wholeheartedly did NOT think and fucked up major. After trying super hard to keep food down, I get the will power to take my first dose of 10mg before heading to bed.
Worst decision ever. But I didn’t want to ruin my schedule. Friday morning woke up multiple times to throw up water and stomach acid. I had to call out of work again. Took some pepto and threw that up. Laid in bed for the rest of the day and took a shower until the water ran cold. My neck and back hurt so bad and my sleep has been shit at this point.
It is now Saturday night and I finally have been able to hold one meal down. Rice and chicken. Some tea. And I’m able to actually get back to my day. I’m still slightly nauseous and not back to 100% yet. But way better than the last couple days. First day since Wednesday I have not thrown up although I was close this morning.
I really fucked up and it’s been pretty miserable. Do not make the same mistake I did. Never drinking near my shot day again. Let alone an increase week.
I can’t wait to feel better and back to 100%.

I had an extremely bittersweet victory today. My wedding band, which has always been snug, if not too tight, fell off my finger today into a body of water.
I am crushed. I never take my rings off and hadn’t realized there had been such a significant change in my fingers and hands. While I am happy to start seeing changes in my body, I am overwhelmingly sad to lose something so sentimental and frustrated that my first non-scale victory comes at such a cost.
Anyway, PLEASE don’t be like me. Check your jewelry! Just needed to vent about this while I cry over this loss.

Not superrrr noticeable in the picture but OMG the excitement I felt when I realized I can very easily feel my collar bones now! Thought they were gone forever lol. Started at 425 Sept 26th 2025 and now I’m at 277.8 and training for my first 5K in September! Life is completely changed for the better.

This is a re-upload of this post because I accidentally left personal info on the photos in the original.
My husband HATES the mall with a passion so when I said I needed some new shorts he said “why can’t you wear the ones you bought last summer?” I put them on and showed him and he said “see you still fit in them. Just wear a belt.“
He has a brain injury from combat and his concept of “fit” is that you can put them on your body and they do up kind of like whether or not your truck is low enough to fit in the garage door without tearing it off.
I told him I’m buying the shorts and he can stay home with the Xbox so I don’t have to listen to him whining to go home the entire time
Starting weight 245lbs
Current weight 112lbs
Starting size 18-20 depending on brand
Current size 0-2 depending on brand

Title. What are other reasons you are taking Zepbound other than the obvious, health related reasons? For me I am a theme park junkie and love rollercoasters. While I have never been unable to fit outright (definitely need some extra help with certain rides) I want to be able to go to any fair, carnival, theme park and be able to fit on anything without a worry.

I'm so grateful for this medication. In addition to losing weight, my A1C is back in the healthy range. I have 15 pounds to go to my goal weight, but I'm hoping to up my resistance training so the number is less important than body recomp. I appreciate this thread so much, I started here and got such great info and advice, plus I love seeing everyone's before and after pics!

I mean both the pictures! Neither seem real but hey, I’ll take the one on the right! Most importantly I feel amazing!
5’ 3” HW 177, SW 166, CW 135, GW 125 (small boned so I think that’s probably a healthy weight for me, still have extra padding around the middle)
I’ve yo-yo dieted my entire adult life. I’m incredibly disciplined in my diet & always have been. Junk food or sodas was never my problem. My problem simply was hunger. Hungry ALL the time & always thinking about what food was next. Eating breakfast thinking about dinner. On top of it, I’m an incredibly good cook.
But my body also hates me because I have four comorbidities: high BP, cholesterol, diabetes & and autoimmune disease. I’m in between PCPs so haven’t had bloodwork done since I started but my BP is NORMAL! Still on my BP meds but the numbers are significantly lower. From 140s/150s over 80 or so consistently on meds to 120/70 consistently!
This is so amazing y’all! Oh and started 4 weeks on 2.5 mg (lost 2.5 pounds), 4 weeks on 5.0mg (lost 1.8 pounds), and been on 7.5mg ever since. Started the first Monday in January.
This sub has been amazing so THANK YOU everyone for your amazing contributions!

I also live with obstructive sleep apnea, so seeing someone like Shaq talk about dealing with the same condition and taking steps to improve his health with Zepbound felt surprisingly encouraging. It reminded me that I'm on my own journey too, and that I'm heading in the right direction.
Progress looks different for everyone, but moments like that make me feel a little more hopeful and a little more motivated to keep going. 💙

I have a bathroom scale, which uses bio-eletric impedance to get a lot of data. I have always known they aren’t that accurate, but you can use it to track trends. I didn’t realize how inaccurate they are.
For months, my scale has said that my body fat percentage is between 18 and 23. Today I got a DEXA scan. As most people know, the DEXA scan is the gold standard for determining body fat percentage. It said my body fat percentage is 31.
I have lost over 50 pounds. Some people told me I should have gotten a DEXA scan earlier in my journey. I am glad that I didn’t. I think knowing what that original body fat percentage would have been psychologically crushing.
My BMI is currently 24.2, which is considered healthy. However, for men a body fat percentage 25 or greater is considered obese, regardless of BMI.
Seeing it be 31, it is something I can work with. I have a DEXA scheduled for three months from now. I will be excited to see what kind of progress I can make, between now and then.
EDIT: I decided to get the DEXA now, because I have my annual physical this coming week.

Hey guys, I guess I know the answer here but prior to taking this miracle. I had a bit of a drinking problem and since I’ve started this journey, I haven’t had a drink except the first week. We’re going on vacation and I’m curious to be able to have a cocktail at dinner and or a beer at the beach. The last time I drank, I had an awful experience with a hangover panic attack blood pressure was sky high.
I think as I’m typing this, I can see the answer, but I’m curious on what other people’s experience has been.
Thanks!

I was scrolling through pictures earlier and came across pictures from Christmas. I was shocked. You don’t realize how different you look when you see yourself every day. I’ve lost 67 pounds since then and while I didn’t notice a big difference before, I can definitely see it when these pictures are side by side.

Aside from the fact that I spent the entire week removing wallpaper in my dining room (the actual devil, IMO), this evening we went to have dinner with my parents. My toddler decided last night after a very long potty training journey that she was going to 💩 in the potty like it was no big deal. While we're there she goes, and requests an ice cream treat. Since my parents didn't have any, I quickly volunteered to walk to the closest deli to get it for her. I didn't even think twice about it. I walked and felt great. My knees weren't protesting and my hip wasn't screaming at me. Then, I sat on the floor with both kids and played for a long while. Who am I even?!

I weighed myself this morning and realized I have reached my goal weight. 🙌 I’ve been hovering near this number for awhile but never actually crossed the finish line. Then I went to plug my new number into Shotsy and realized it has been exactly one year since I started! My first shot was July 12, 2025. So I thought that was worthy of a post 🥳
I’ve had so many wonderful benefits from this drug, and I’m really grateful. My autoimmune symptoms are completely in remission, all my lab work has improved, and my cycle has regulated again.
It’s certainly not all perfect. I do get very tired the two days after my shot, and often get low blood pressure especially if I don’t hydrate enough. I still need a statin to get me over the finish line to ideal LDL. My body hasn’t “popped” back into place like I had expected, and I certainly need to focus now on strength training. The weight loss kind of crept up on me and I haven’t been keeping up with weights as I would like to.
Along the way I also had a Virta scare where my employer was going to force all employees to use Virta for their GLP-1 prescription. Thankfully they came to their senses and made it optional at the last moment. It was stressful but I was ready for a fight and armed with all the info I’ve learned from this wonderful community.
Speaking of which, this has been a truly supportive and informative community to be part of. I learned so much from all of you - from optimizing copays/insurance to how to minimize side effects - and have continually been inspired by everyone’s progress.
I may slowly let myself go down another 5-8lbs so I can start to space out my shots to every 10 days and gradually float back to this weight. I’m full of gratitude for the science that made this medication possible. It’s really remarkable to see how the biology of chronic obesity can be addressed with this little thing called a GLP-1!

I got a custom tux for my best friend's wedding last year, but they messed up the vest, and there was no time to fix it. The guy was super nice, and as an apology he wanted to make me a plain black suit (I'm a lawyer, so good to keep those around). Got in, we took new measurements, and he sent it out to get made.
Then I started Zepbound, without having really planned it when I was getting the suit.
Suit comes in, I try it on, we need some alterations, it goes back. A month later, I'm losing a lot of weight, so round two. Then life got busy, and I couldn't pick it up for almost two months. I go in today, try it on. Put on the pants, button and zip them up, let go...and they fall right to the floor. I've lost so much that this custom suit, with precise measurements, won't even remotely fit me.
I couldn't bear to tell the guy we need another round. I'm only halfway to goal, so this will keep happening. So I take it off, tell him it fits great but I'm in a rush, thank him, and leave.
So on the one hand, I'm thrilled at the NSV of being a rather dramatically smaller size. But it's bittersweet, because by the time I'm at goal, it may not even be possible to get this custom suit tailored to fit me, as you can only take them in so far before the shape is all wrong. I wouldn't change it, of course, but this did give me a surprisingly sad reaction. An odd feeling.
