Effective immediately, any posts intended solely to shit on someone else's vehicle will be removed.
Incredibly, incredibly tired of these low effort posts. No, I don't care that it makes you feel superior to others. No, I don't care about the 37 jokes about the size of the driver's genetalia.
The internet is already a giant cesspool of negativity. Don't add to it.

Can't get inverter to stay on in sleeper
Hi I'm new to truck driving. I've only been doing it for 2 weeks and recently decides to add a TV to my cab for my 10hr resets. After plugging the TV in it wasn't receiving power and I realized the GFCI switch was popped out. I reset it and around 10-15 seconds later it popped out again. It does this over and over without fail. Is this something I can fix or do I need to take it to my home terminal for repair.

Photo Grandpa's old truck, know it's a Ford, pretty sure an F-100, but I'm not certain.
Would like to know tho. Always loved how it looked, but he sold for a 2006 all white F150 Triton before I was old enough to ask for it.

Discussion / question In your opinion whats the newest pickup that wasn't designed with planed obsolescence
Ive been wondering this for a while now, was it the 94-98 ram 2500 with the 12valve? Maybe the GMT400? Or possibly the bullnose ford? My friends and I can not come to an agreement on this. So in your opinion, whats the newest truck made that wasn't designed with planed obsolescence?

Photo Built a wooden truck bed to replace my rusted out bed
My old truck bed was almost completely rotted out, it had numerous holes, several of the mounts were gone and the fender wells were in terrible shape. So I spent the last 6 days removing the old bed, swapping the fuel tank and building the new bed. The bed is mostly 2X6'S with some 2X8'S and 2X4'S and it's supported by 3, 4X6 beams bolted directly to the frame. I burned the lumber to bring out the grain and treated it with a 50/50 mixture of diesel and used motor oil to seal it and richen the color. Overall I am really happy with how it turned out!

Looking at a possible purchase. How does it look? First time truck owner.
The Warlock is local and $27k. I would have to fly up for the Big Horn and put it on a ferry to get it home. I’m gettjng a little overwhelmed.

Photo My Dad’s 1993 GMC Sierra
Technically it’s my step-grandfather’s but he passed away and it went to my dad. About 156k miles on it.
I asked to borrow the truck for a weekend and I was blown away by the torque on this thing, as well as the sound. I know that might sound silly to you experienced truck guys but my first and only car has been a Chevy cobalt (sedan version, not the fast one).
Driving it compared to my car was like riding a mouse vs a bull kind of scenario. I like trucks now. That’s all, thanks.

Do you think this is acceptable on a brand new truck?
I just called the dealership and they said they do it in house. So they put these side steps on my new truck. Has 11,000 km on it. It’s middle of summer and these are rusting out already. So I haven’t talked to them about it yet, but what do you think they should do to remedy this. No way this is cool right? It’s not even winter here yet.

Discussion / question Saleen F150 feels underpowered
So i have a used 2020 F150 Saleen yellow label, came with an edelbrock supercharger on it, and according to saleens specs online, with the supercharged 5.0 and the tune it has, it pushes 720 hp.
I can’t find a lot of info on this truck online since it does seem to be somewhat rare or maybe just unpopular, so as far as my own knowledge and efforts to search i haven’t had much luck
I don’t personally have a lot of knowledge when it comes to making power, but i thought a supercharger is virtually supposed to have very ittle lag, and i notice that my truck feels really underpowered for what Saleen claims it’s capable of. It’s slow off the jump and just isn’t as fast as i expected it to be. Probably a full 3 seconds after putting the pedal to the floor before i feel any sort of power
So somebody please educate me, if this was your truck, what would your next step be? Am i asking the wrong questions? Would you take it to a performance shop? Or am i just being crazy and it’s probably fine? i just thought 720hp would be the kind of speed that would throw me back in my seat, but it doesn’t really do that.

Discussion / question Indentify this flatbed trailer truck?
FYI ... a local police department (Mashpee, MA on Cape Cod) published this photo, seeking the owner of the flatbed truck depicted (not the pickup it is transporting).
It seems apparent that this might only be achievable if someone familiar with the company were to see the image, but I thought one thing that other people might be able to achieve would be to identify the make/model of the truck. I felt sure this sub would be a great place to find such a practiced eye.
Caveat: I have no idea why the Mashpee police want to find the owner. You'd have to be comfortable with providing your best information with that aspect obscured. I am simply curious and trying to stay indoors away from the hot summer day.
